It's been getting more and more expensive but they have senior discounts. The food is excellent and always fresh and hot. I have been going there for years and they are consistently great. The servers are friendly and efficient in removing unused plates. All you can eat sushi and sashimi, freshly made in front of you. The place is always clean and bright looking, clean restrooms. Check the reviews. People seem to love it or despise it, but theres nothing not to love. The staff is friendly and there is no language problem. The food is good, but for the area to have so many restaurants in the area, it is just meh. The owners of the restaurant are notorious for being unkind and towing many people if Cookout runs out of parking and people park in their lot, even though there are barely any people who actually eat their. I have never had food so bad that I downloaded Yelp to rant about it. The sushi was horrible, everything was old, rice was crusty, shrimp made me feel sick, chicken was awful, nothing was seasoned, the pizza was cold and looked like itd been sitting our for days, the dessert was inedible, the fudge was somehow the worst thing ive ever had, and somehow even the rice crispy treats and marshmallows tasted like garbage. Decent buffet if you are in the mood for all you can eat Chinese fare. They have a small selection of hibachi items. They have sushi if you are a sushi person. It looked fresh but I am not a sushi person so don't go by my opinion. The food was fresh and the waitress was pleasant and kept our glasses full. This was great spot to dine in at! I saw Hibachi Buffet sign and was automate "let's eat there.", when we walked in the decor was awesome, and had more of a mid level seafood restaurant that maybe on a beach feel to it. The staff were nice and helpful, nothing special. The Food was great, but the steak was a little tuff. I paid $18.47 for my all you can eat buffet and a drink, price was reasonable for what you got. Totally depends on what you get (do NOT get the meatloaf or sushi). The rice was crunchy. Several of the chicken dishes weren't bad and all of the food was pretty hot which is a must for me with buffets. Overpriced to be honest ($15 per person) but I guess it's probably because they have a massive selection. Waitress was really nice. Definitely lots of people but things were super spaced out so it was fine. We got to the restaurant and our party of 5 was seated immediately. The place is huge. The selection of food was great. A little something for everyone. They have a salad bar, sushi station, hibachi station, and buffet. It was a couple of more areas that I didn't get to because my stomach was full after 2 plates. Where to begin? The selection here is questionable for something marketed as a primarily Asian buffet they had a surprising lack of Asian food. The dumplings were... leathery, don't think I've ever used that adjective to describe a dumpling but here we are. The crab Rangoon were sad and I think they had like 2-3 varieties of chicken dishes. Some may try to claim that it's not all bad, that the American and Japanese options are much better! I am here to dispel these claims. The roast and meats sitting in the American section looked like they've been sitting there since the Bush administration. Bush senior. They had a small selection of Thanksgiving foods like corn and sweet potato casserole that looked like it hasn't been touched since... well Thanksgiving. There was a strange pan of pinto beans which seemed culturally out of place. The sushi wasn't particularly good either. Most of the sushi consisted of non-fish or seafood components, cucumber, cream cheese, rice, nori. When eating it, I struggled to find the actual tuna in my tuna roll. In my sick game of where's Waldo, it also dawned on me that the rice was either undercooked or old enough to undo its cooking as it petrified on the outside of the thing they called a "roll." In the end Choice Hibachi assumedly gets its name from the second to highest meat grade, right underneath prime. I suggest a name change to "commercial" HIbachi. A term reserved for food to be used in the lowest of food preparation. Finally there's this odd wing of the building right as you enter on the left. It has a foosball table, a wheelchair and some random odds and ends. It looks like you took the entertainment area of a nursing home and spliced it onto the hibachi building. I was baffled to the purpose or reasoning behind this choice of storage or placement. I need answers. read more

We usually enjoy dining at Hibachi, however yesterday enjoying lunch, my 6 year old son ingested a mysterious white powder that was up on the trim of the wood paneling where the side of the booth seat rests against it. I noticed there was white powder in the same area of multiple booths. Upon asking the server and then the manager it was discovered to be COCKROACH POWDER.....RIGHT WHERE PEOPLE ARE EATING THEIR FOOD. This is highly poisonous. They comped HIS portion of our bill and we headed to the ER. I wonder how many times this has led to someone accidently and unknowingly ingesting this insecticide and then later becoming ill thinking it was food poisoning? This is gross negligence. The manager stated this was not supposed to have been put there, but how often are things like that being done and the customer has no knowledge? You don't go to a buffet for high quality or authentic Chinese cuisine, and this place isn't an exception; however, I keep coming back here (and often with friends and family). The sushi and the fried rice beats quite a few other locals Chinese/Japanese spots (definitely surpassing expectations). They seem to have a good turnaround on food (maybe because they're always so busy), which is a huge plus. Sometimes, a few selections are a little on the crunchy side (like their wonton and biscuits), but this is one of few complaints I have. Don't judge me, but one of the highlights is their macaroni and cheese (seriously). I'm pretty sure they use stouffer brand and then add more cheese to it, but it doesn't change the fact that I will always get several helpings of it. I was so impressed with the steamed cabbage at my last visit; it was so well cooked and seasoned (garlic). The Hibachi rice is amazing, too (better than their fried or white rice). Another good surprise is the quality of their dessert options. They have great variety from cake to bread pudding to cookies to cream puffs! I definitely enjoy the sushi available and the Japanese food they serve as well. You'd be hard pressed for find the quantity and quality of food for the price anywhere else in town. However, the tables are always sticky, the floors are always in similar conditions. The hosts and waiters always seem to have come to terms with the environment.
