The owner told me that they are normally closed on Sundays , but since I was a bride, he wanted to make sure that he could devote attention to only my dress. I was very appreciative and we confirmed my appointment for June 7th. I called on Monday June 1st to confirm my appointment since i had my aunts traveling from NY to be apart of my fitting and see my dress. i spoke to the owner again and he confirmed my appointment for Sunday. I arrived at the place on Sunday June 7th and the door was locked and the lights were off. I called the shops number multiple times with no answer and also called the owners cell number that he listed on his business card. I had to call his cell MULTIPLE times before getting an answer, all while standing on the side walk with my family and my wedding dresses in our hands. When he finally picked up the phone, he explained that he wasn't even in the state! Apparently he was in NY on his way to pick up suits. There was no remorse on his end for completely leaving me high and dry. All he said was "i didnt have an appointment for you. You know, life happens". Absolutely horrible experience. How on earth can you confirm an appointment with someone and then tell them days later that they never had an appointment? Horrible way to run a business. I understand that mistakes happen but he literally had no remorse for the fact that i was standing on the sidewalk with my family and wedding dresses waiting for HIM! When I went back, I was not happy with the length, but she hurried me out and said it was perfect. She charged me a total of $730 for alterations and hemming. After trying it on a few times at home I was still not happy with it, I decided to get a second opinion. I brought it to another tailor in Brick, and they told me Mona ruined the dress. It was not until I went to this second tailor did I realize what a terrible job Mona did for a ton of money, $730. This was a $1500 dress. Mona cut the lace when she was not supposed to. The top of the dress was a botched job. Also, Mona did not take it in correctly around the hip area. Basically, the new tailor must totally re-do the dress again from start. I was so upset but the new tailor is going to do their best to fix it for me for a total of $250. When going back to Mona she was very unprofessional and nasty and would not listen to a word I said. She told me the new tailor was going to ruin the dress on me. Mona just yelled and screamed at me and kicked me out. I would never want anyone else to experience this. I was naive and did not know any better and I got screwed. Please be careful and do not go to Mona's Boutiques and Tailoring. Please do your research.

When my daughter tried the dress on and came out of the dressing room Mona looked at the dress on her and said that it was too much material to take in and told her to order a size smaller. She did not care that it was the smallest size possible. When we got there, a woman (maybe the owner?) greeted us in the front and explained the process. There is a larger selection of dresses than I expected and they are all protected in plastic. There is a card attached to each dress with helpful information such as available colors and the price. You can pick a few dresses and give it to one of the staff who then help you with changing into the dress. I liked their customer service. The young staffers help pick out dresses based on what you're looking for or what you've picked out and they were great with helping to change in and out of dresses multiple times. They do have a no-camera policy unless you've purchased the dress. This makes it hard to compare dresses because after a while I forget what each dress looks like and which looks better. I wish they would organize the dresses by color so that we don't have to go looking for the color we want. Even though the available colors may not be in the store, it's helpful to see the color in the style in person. In the end, we didn't find a dress here but it was a good experience with great service.

Alissa was wonderful and I highly recommend asking for her. She took me to three different racks of dresses, picking out ones that tailored to my taste, as well as others she thought would compliment my figure. But most importantly, before each rack, she let me know the price range of the dresses. Countless times I had tried on dresses and fell in love with them, only to find out they were way out of my budget. I ended up choosing the first dress I tried on, one that Alissa personally picked for me and I couldn't be happier. I called Tailoring While You Wait because I had burned the sleeve of my down puffer winter coat. I got a very pleasant woman on the phone. She told me to stop by and she would take a look. (Other local cleaner to my area wouldn't touch the coat and only offered to attach a patch that I would have to purchase on my own). I brought the coat in, got the same woman. She showed me an elbow patch and we looked at each other, no. I could tell she knew what she was doing because she started looking all over the coat for fabric to use on the repair. She told me she could fix it but I wasn't sure how and she told me nobody would notice the repair except me. I was skeptical but had hope as it is my fav coat. Long story short, The coat was repaired good as new. I couldn't believe it. She had created an entire new sleeve section (not a patch) and the repair was UNDETECTABLE! Where the additional material came from I'll never know because the entire coat was intact inside and out. No joke it was a miracle. it was done in record time with what I consider a nominal fee. All these ladies were so great and I was treated kindly and professionally! The burn was sizable and all the way down to the inner lining! Thanks again! I'll be a returning customer!
