My wife has used him before, he does a gOOd job. I really like they way her hands and feet looks once completed. Everyone in the shop is well trained and professional. I happen to connect with Lee who is the one I have chosen for my pedicures. She is strong and her massages are thorough. I tell her when she is done, that my feet look "brand new!" It makes her laugh and she takes her time when her work is recognized. We communicate with an understanding although her English is not the first language. I was one in the past to always pass on taking and moment to having my feet massages, nails clipped and feet scrubbed. But as my wife has said in the shop, "he puts holes in the sheets with those sharp toenails!!" LMAO - let's be honest, we all have been there but in this case, we as men have to step up to the plate and spend time grooming our bodies to lower the cost on sheet replacement (hah). Lee, my go to person takes her time and gives me the attention that is necessary to get the job done. If it goes after then what I anticipate, then I will let her know. it's that simple. The vibe is cool for the most part, I've learned the best time to go is in the morning. But that is of course, based on what my wife books and if I am available. I am heavy into music so I bring my headphones into the shop and tune out for those 60 seconds of feet pampering. They shop normally has a food show playing in the background like elevator music but it a lot of repeat of the same thing, so I zone into my deeper self. One Exception, businesses who give exceptional service and have 5 stars are growing at a fast rate towards perfection, it does not mean they are perfect. If you have a favorite technician working on your soles and things take a turn towards your tolerance level - remind them that you are not in a rush and prefer to move at a slower pace. The techs have always been pleasant but not overly talkative. Now let's talk about the actual job. My pedicures have always turned out ok, but my gel or sns sets, not good. Each time, I've had my nails chip or come off within a week and half or less. This shouldn't happen, especially with SNS nails. The manicures have also been lackluster with no hand massage and with pedicures, sometimes forgetting the foot massage. I will say that every time I've been, the owner, Karen, usually has a regular client that she's seeing and everyone loves her. Seems like she does a lot of specialty nails, so it's kind of crazy that her techs do such lackluster jobs on basic nails chip sets.

For that price I should have gone to Frenchies and had a nicer experience. The pedicure was timed with a clock. Finally, I did not like that they did my manicure and pedicure at same time. I was told my tech had to get medicine and would be there in 5 mins after 15 min Joy took over and did my toes. She knicked my toe and that is always a fear for me when in a nail salon I am a pro cosmetologist and sterilizing is so important. Luckily it was minor. I really expected some sort of compensation for my inconvenience (I wasn't started on for over an hour after my appointment time). Even a small offer of 5% off next time etc but I only got multiple apologies and my pedi came to a whopping $48 because I got gel polish. I then sat there until 1:39 p.m. without anyone beginning my service or explaining the delay. I was handed a bottle of water, but otherwise I was completely ignored. What happened next is what really bothered me. A White woman walked in without an appointment, sat down in a pedicure chair, and the technician who had been sitting nearby immediately got up, brought her a towel, a pillow, set up his equipment, and began helping her. Meanwhile, I had already been waiting nearly 30 minutes without anyone acknowledging me or communicating what was going on. I can't say for certain why I was treated this way, but I can say this: as a Black woman, I left feeling like I was disregarded while another customer was immediately prioritized. Whether that was intentional or not, that's exactly how the experience came across, and it was hurtful and unprofessional. If there was a reason for the delay, all it would have taken was a simple explanation. Instead, I was left feeling invisible. I won't be returning.
