This was my second time trying Croccante's pizza, but my first time eating it there in person. Croccante really has some of my favorite pizza in Napa! Their Detroit-style pizzas have a delicious crust which perfectly compliments their toppings. My favorite pizza being their mushroom pizza! I'm glad I finally got to enjoy their pizzas fresh at the restaurant. Their pizza was as good as the first time I had it (even better since it was fresh), but I got to experience their great service! The food was amazing, and service by Amein was great!!! Unfortunately the hostess took her job too serious. We tried sitting outside and my bf started moving a table together for our party of 6, she walked out upset and told us "for future reference don't move tables until you come tell me first", with a tone and with an upset facial expression. I didn't respond and asked my bf to stop while she moved the tables together herself. Stopped into Croccante Artisan about 30 minutes before closing and was immediately welcomed by a warm, friendly staff. I grabbed a seat at the bar and ordered the deep-dish mushroom pizza with added arugula and balsamic, paired with a glass of The Prisoner Pinot Noir. Service was quick, and the pizza arrived hot, fresh, and looking every bit as good as it tasted. The arugula and balsamic really elevated the mushroom pizza, and I'm not sure I would have enjoyed it nearly as much without those additions. The crust struck a nice balance--fluffy and airy on the inside with the crisp edges you'd hope for in a pan-style pizza. Portions were generous as well; one pizza could easily be shared or enjoyed with leftovers to take home. The ambiance is relaxed and inviting, making it a great stop while exploring downtown Napa. Ordered a Chicago BBQ Chicken pizza online for takeout pickup. Really spacious and clean inside with outdoor seating as well, and pickup process was seamless, clean packaging. The pizza itself was honestly very ok, really not a fan of the super thin cracker like crust. Maybe would be different if it's a different pizza style, since they offer a couple different kinds. It was nicely cut into small squares, which made it easy to eat on the car ride back from Napa down to South bay. We came in closer to closing time and even though it was a full house, we were seated right away and food was out quick. First time trying their Detroit style pizza and it was amazing, flavorful sauce, fluffy crust, and perfectly balanced ingredients. I noticed they were voted Favorite Local Pizza and it totally makes sense. The wings were also very good, saucy with just the right amount of spice. Walking into this establishment I was greeted by 3 staff members (the front door host, the guy at the bar and a random server walking by) That made me feel well, warm and welcomed. The place is clean, it's a nice vibe and it smelled damn good The bar is very intimate and cute (perfect for a solo lunch pop in). Now to the food. The pizza was I'm not a deep dish girl because it's too thick and heavy but their deep dish pizza was recommended. When I say the deep dish is LIGHT, Flaky and airy like. Found this place walking in downtown Napa during the dinner. Had a decent Detroit style pizza at Croccante Artisan Pizza which was cleverly named Croccante by the way. This was my first time visiting this pizza restaurant and it did not disappoint. I ordered their regular caesar salad and their Hawaiian pizza. I usually am not a fan of thin crust pizzas but this pizza was perfectly crisp and delicious. I do prefer canadian bacon on my hawaiian pizza since it can be cooked crisp over the ham but that is the only thing for me based on my preference. Their salad was quite delicious as well. Came an hour before closing and we're happy to be seated right away . Staff were very friendly. Orders were taken right away, it's a nice cozy place. The food was delicious . I Was definitely skeptical about the blueberry soda and the wings . But man... a happy surprise with both. I'm not a soda person (much less out of the ordinary soda) it was refreshing and a little sweet . I almost ordered another one but had to maintain control lol. The wings were really good too. Buffalo wings 9.2/10!!!!! Usually I am so picky about my wings but these were pretty darn close to getting a 10. Sweet potato fries were also so tasty. Garlic breads were ok a little hard but still tasty. Pizza was okay maybe a 6/10. The focaccia is nice and soft but I wish they would include a little more sauce in the pizza as it's all mostly in the middle and you don't get a lot on your other bites. Great recommendation after a day of wine tasting near the Stags Leap district. An easy 15min drive from the vineyards, with a parking lot right across the way and good street parking. Service was quick even with the lunch time crowd. Great seating right outside as well we were able to wait at a nice table for our to-go order. Was recommended the Detroit style pan pizza and the crust was both crispy and fluffy really enjoyed the flavor. Tried the Greek style and 4 cheese pizza for the kids and everyone loved it. I've been to Croccante a few times. Great service, good food, and never had a bad experience. The Detroit style pizzas are amazing--especially the Burrata and the Roasted Potato with Pancetta. Their gluten-free crust is one of the best I've had, and most pizzas can be made GF. The prices are moderate. 3 times in one week I have ordered the same thing: perfectly poached eggs over smoked salmon, on delicious model's bakery muffin. The best part is the creamy, rich hollandaise sauce which they provide in abundance. Diet food this is not. But what the he k, YOLO!!!! Comes with side of potatoes. Well though the name implies a pizza joint they do more than that. I ordered the chilaquiles with eggs over medium and I received just that it was delicious but not a chilaquile that I'm used to, I wish chefs would amp up the red sauce a bit more and even do a quick pan fry for a bit of a crunch on the tortilla, but I gobbled them up. Is this my new favorite pizza? I'll need to visit a second time to be sure, but it's looking pretty good. Detroit style perfected! We sampled a couple of the standard detroit style pies and they were spectacular. The crust seemed incredibly light and the extra cheese they add on the crust to make the crispy edge did not seem overly decadent. Their caesar salad was bright and delicious, 10/10. There is also a gluten free crust option, I believe in the same style, but we did not try it on our visit. Easy parking on the street or in the large nearby lots. Detroit-style is probably my favorite pizza variety, so I definitely had to try Croccante. Thick, doughy crust, with crispy edges are where it's at. With the perfect balance of cheese and toppings to bring it all together. Their pizza is 8"x10" which was 4 slices, perfect for two people to share. But should have added a side salad to make it a more filling meal. Their namesake pizza had great flavor, I just wish there were a bit more toppings. Also, when refilling our water cups, the pitcher was filled with warm water. It was a bit off putting. They definitely need to add ice to that pitcher! Especially for a warm Napa day. read more

Yesterday we checked out Croccante Artisan Pizza located at 976 Pearl St. in Napa. We ordered two Detroit-style pan pizzas (Pepperoni & Four-Cheese Blend) and their Croccante Wings. The wings were not small and had a nice sweet chili glaze to them. Would definitely order these again. As for the pizzas; besides the nice flavors of the toppings, what amazed me about these was the dough they use. The outside of the crust has cheese baked in to give the pizza that extra crunch; and the inside was so thick with fresh cooked dough. I think this is the first time I was more impressed with the crust than the toppings ever for a pizza. Definitely like something I've never had before. So good! The pepperoni was basic but still had good flavor; while the four-cheese wowed me with the fresh herbs and that fresh ricotta dollop on top. I think between the two this was our favorite.
