Stopped by on a whim on an early Saturday afternoon. So glad I did!! The beer was excellent, food just as good, and great vibes. I wish they had table service, but the staff behind the counters were nonetheless super helpful and carried the food to our table (which was much appreciated since we had our kids). For beers, I ordered a taster flight of Tangerine Tornado (blonde ale), Northern Orbit (cold IPA), Coast (kolsch), blanc de blanc (bier de champagne). I especially loved the blanc and the northern orbit. I've never had a cold IPA before and it was so good! The food was outstanding as well. My kids ate almost all their food which is rare, but a testament to how good the food was. I will for sure be back next time I am in the area. read more

Loved my buffalo chicken wrap ("Wrapped & Rollin" on the menu). I wasn't expecting good food from a brewery but wow I really liked this wrap and the tots ($15). The lettuce was crisp and the chicken and cheese were perfect. The tots were very crispy. They were a tad over salted but I didn't mind. The service is GREAT! There were two very nice ladies working the bar/waitressing and they were both super sweet and friendly. It was my first time at this brewery and I felt very invited. Delicious beer, food, and good vibes! I got the rouge de noir which is a champagne beer, and I've never had anything like it. Super refreshing and slightly fruity! I enjoyed my time here. They have beer on tap, a few ciders on tap, a cocktail menu and food. Great space for family and friends. Food is good. Calicraft somehow managed to take a place I used to love for YEARS and turn it into the most aggressively mediocre brewery experience imaginable. Back when this was Heretic, the beer lineup actually had personality. There were staples people came back for. Now every time I walk in it feels like another beloved beer got axed and replaced with some forgettable "experimental" nonsense nobody asked for. I've been coming here forever, and it honestly feels like watching a slow-motion identity crisis. The staff used to know the beers, the vibe used to feel local and authentic, and now it's all polished branding with half the soul. The tap list changes constantly but somehow gets worse every time. Amazing achievement, honestly. And can we talk about getting rid of the old beers? People liked those beers, CHP, evil cousin, and of course MAJA!!!!! . That's why they kept ordering them. Everything Calicraft puts out is mediocre I kept hoping it would bounce back, but every visit lately just makes me miss Heretic more. At this point the nostalgia is carrying this place harder than the brewing is. Never going back, hopefully they'll be out of business soon! read more

Parking: Parking lot as well as street parking. Environment: Place your order at the bar and then grab a table. You can also order food here since they have a kitchen. Restrooms are located towards the back on the left of the building; clearly labeled. The place was busy and loud with music playing in the background. The string lights gave it a nice vibe. We have been long time fans of this brewery and have so many good memories here, so we were recently hoping things would stay the same after the change in ownership. Unfortunately, a lot of our favorite menu items are done - which was a big disappointment. We still gave it a try, but the pizza we ordered was just okay - nothing special. The beer menu is still relatively the same (which we appreciate!) but without the food options we loved, Heretic just doesn't feel the same. We really miss the old Heretic and the great food that made it one of our go to spots. read more

My co-workers and I came here to celebrate the last day of work for a co-worker. They have a great selection of beers and hard ciders along with a menu of delicious food. I had the Wicked Burger which wasn't very spicy, but had a good blend of flavors which I found to be delicious. There are plenty of indoor seating, but the place does get pretty busy if you come around dinner time. The first employees are all very nice and helpful. You can ask for a sample tasting of different beers and ciders before deciding which one to order. Overall, a great place to come for dinner and/or a drink with the family, friends and co-workers. read more

Now, a waste of time on a nice afternoon. A vey rude bartender who immediately copped an attitude. a very poor and limited menu, complete reliance on signing in to an app to order. Sorry, we walked out, never to return. Really sad, because again, the original Heretics Brewing made some great beers. ( none of their original recipes are available). After coming here a number of times, I can finally write a review! Heretic Brewery and Distillery is a great spot for a great time with friends, loved ones, and even by yourself. Their space is huge. They have a bar and they have outdoor seating. Parking can be tight though. What I like about Heretic is the variety of alcohol they offer. There's something for everyone here. They also serve food which is 10/10 for me, because some Breweries offer small bites aka chips or pretzels or something. Nope! Heretic has tacos, burgers, other fulfilling eats as you sip of your drink. As of this review, I believe their food menu has changed so I will have to update this review once I try out their new food menu. But for now, for my lasts visits, my go-to food order is always any of their burgers with tater tots! The burgers are tender and juicy! I also like their fried artichoke bites! I've heard so many good things about this spot and I finally got to try it myself. The whole vibe and ambiance of the place gives a laid back hangout spot where you can go after work or hangout with some friends. It was filled with a good amount of people but I remember my dad telling me it's usually more packed than it was! It was also Tuesday trivia night but we missed the time cut. We ordered the fried pickles and potatoes, knucklehead pizza, and one beer (my dad's). The fried pickles and potatoes were such a hit and came with their super good sauce that I had to get an extra dip! The pizza came shortly after the app and did not disappoint. It had the perfect thin crust and had the perfect amount of each ingredient that didn't overpower each other. My dad and I finished the whole pizza just us two LOL. I can't wait to come back here with friends and family, especially when there's an event or game going on! Had to try the pizza since that is their new focus. It was pretty good - nice char on the underside, chewy crust. The Outside Voice was a little heavy/rich, probably won't get that again but my kid got the kids cheese and that was very good. Kids pizza was almost as large as our pizza. I've been coming here for years but since the acquisition by Calicraft it progressively got worse. The drink menu has been almost entirely changed apart from just a couple of exceptions. Very disappointed honestly. Menu for food has changed quite a bit too. Service has always been good. And the ambiance of the place feels hollow like an empty shell of what it was. It's cool the community is the same but the place itself feels so empty. Food is good still but the fact it's a brewery and distillery and no longer makes their IPAs and Spirits, I don't really have any business going there anymore. came here looking for trivia (my friend and i found a really old poster), and was a bit disappointed with them not having it. the cashier was a good sport and tried to name other places they knew had trivia though so bonus points! we decided to get beers anyways and i got the return of the mac. it was a pretty good hoppy IPA! i was also able to try a few before committing to my one beer so that was nice! i did notice there were a lot of kids in the space but didn't see anything for the kids to do-- and so a lot of them were iPad kids. i'm not sure of the general population of fairfield brewery-goers are but some child friendly space or activities would be nice if offered! additionally, a screw came off on one of the pizza trays or table or chair or something which my friend and i noticed on the floor (which might be a safety hazard). overall i do like how open this brewery is and looking at the giant brewers tanks. :) read more

I camebbto Heretic Brewery on Christmas Eve for lunch. I planned to enjoy some pizza and beer. I didn't review the menu in advance, or I would have realized pizza is not served by the slice. I can only buy a whole pie. I ended up ordering dirty fries and 16 ounces of the evil twin IPA. Dirty fries: looks good, taste was very underwhelming. The cheese sauce on the fries wasn't even hot and did not melt in too for the french fries. It was a big flop of cheese that did not mix well. I picked the extra off and ate. The cheese reminds me of cheese sauce that comes in a box of Velveeta macaroni and cheese. The fries were warm and crispy. Honestly, I would definitely not order again. Evil twin IPA (16 ounces) a dark colored IPA. I liked it a lot! I'm typically not a dark IPA kind of woman. It had a mellow taste to it. I definitely would order again. It was a nice balance to the dirty fries. Chocolate hazelnut porter (13 ounces): a nice dessert beer. It's surprisingly light tasting for a dark beer. I don't recall tasting hazelnut. It definitely had a nice amount of chocolate flavor. I really liked the glass it was served in! Staff: the staff were friendly. I was there for over ran hour and the server only came by twice. They had a basketball game playing on the wall over the main entrance via a projection. There's both indoor and outdoor (patio) seating. The parking lot is very tight and small; can be a challenge when it's busy here (Surprisingly, it was not busy today and I was able to find a spot!) My experience was overall pleasant. I would visit Heretic Brewery again at some point. read more

First time ever coming here, looked like it had good potential. We arrive and there's no staff to be seen besides the bartenders leaving customers unattended and unaware of what to do. No one explained that it was seat yourself and order only on your phone. Zero customer service besides the bartenders and a few zombies that bring out your food. This was the only time we ever saw any employee or got help without going to the bartenders while you can see through a window into the kitchen that every other employee is just sitting on their phone. The food was hit or miss, pizza was undercooked and chicken sandwich was not the best. Some of the burgers were good though. Do not recommend this place, they need to hire better staff! read more

Huge indoor and some outdoor seating brewery in Fairfield very close to Travis AFB. Met up with some friends for happy hour after work on a weekday. I'm not sure if they have a happy hour menu but they have a large projector, and TVs at the bar if you're trying to watch sports. They also have hard alcohol and cocktails in addition to their local beers and they have canned drinks and cocktails too. Really good drafts and ciders. Their kitchen also really has good food too. I think during the pandemic they went under new ownership so the kitchen changed a bit, in the past they had tacos but now they have amazing pizzas and burgers. We got crispy wings, pickles and potatoes, dirty fries with bacon on the side, and a margherita pizza. We had a couple rounds of drinks. There's plenty of parking around the facility. read more

On Monday June 30th, we stumble on finding ourselves at Heretic Brewery. We wanted to go somewhere different for a quick meal. Neither one of us drink beer, so we had water with our dinner. I ordered BBQ Hamburger w/fries, and my spouse had a Cheese Burger. While we were waiting for our burgers, we noticed everyone including their children were playing Bingo. We felt that was pretty cool, and it's a normal weekly activity every Monday. The Burgers arrived within minutes from being ordered. This was our first visit here and we loved it!! Came in on a Tuesday around 5:30pm. This brewery/distillery/taproom is in an industrial area of Fairfield. The restaurant was not busy and we were able to find a table with ease. You order at the bar (food and drink) and they give you a number and bring your food to you. Our server was really nice and helped us to decide on our pizza. It had tater tots bacon and Smokey creama. It was really delicious-light crispy crust. We also ordered a small grilled chicken salad-crisp lettuce radishes tomatoes and other things and delicious dressing!! They also have a beer sampler with four three ounce pours. I've been here before the recent changes in ownership and menu,and it was good. I've only recently returned. Wow! I actually like it even better. The pizza is legit. Really good crust for pizza obsessos. I also like the expanded beer selection. They had a really smooth stout and a very well balanced IPA called Hipster Hotel. Decided to come here with a few friends. It's a brewery that serves cocktails, and food as well. The place has lots of seating and outside seating as well for the summer months. I order a mule which was very good and a chicken sandwich with tots. The chicken sandwich was delicious. Few things to know they don't take your order at the table. You have to stand in a line and they bring your order to you. Tables are first come first serve. They also have bingo on Monday which is a fun time. Bingo starts at 6:30. They do have trivia as well but I have never been to that. The only down fall in my opinion is every-time you want to order something you gotta go stand inline and you have to get your own container to box your food if you have any left. I also felt that I was busing my own table as well. So if you're in the area come check this place out. read more

I've been there a couple of times and always had a great time and great service. It gets pretty busy but they have plenty of seats and an outdoor patio right in front. The Tangerine Tornado goes great with the Chicken Nachos! They seem to have a lot of regulars but a very welcoming, chill vibe. We planned a weekend get-away just around visiting this brewery. Got an Airbnb nearby and came out just after opening on a Saturday. We stayed for over 4 hours. We have been Heretic fans for years but haven't been to the brewery. We started with shared apps, shishito peppers, hummus plate and pickles and tots. All three were delicious and ended up satiating us for most of our visit. The guys enjoyed their variety of beers and us ladies enjoyed our seltzers and cocktails, they even whipped us up a custom cocktail that was delicious, details of which are a little hazy... We did end up needing a little more food, so we ordered the fried chicken sandwich cut in quarters. OMG we regretted not ordering two and splitting them, it was delicious!!!! We ordered all our food and drinks, besides the custom ones, on the app. It was very convenient and actually helpful for tracking which beers the guys had tried as the day went on. Staff was really great and hospitable. All food and drinks were delivered promptly. They did a fantastic job, and we felt very well taken care of. We even considered going back the next day but alas, had to get on the road back home to Santa Rosa. Can't wait to stop in again when in town. read more

Disappointed,..... Where to begin?! My fiancé & I have been coming here for the last 2-3 years, and it has been absolutely amazing every single time. We drive over an hour & a half to just eat the BEST SHRIMP TACOS in this entire WORLD. As I am still sitting outside this new managed establishment, it comes with a heavy heart to say we will no longer be returning. We had no idea Heretic Brewing was bought out by Calicraft 4 months ago. From the moment we stepped in, we realized that it was different. And sure enough, once we picked up the new menus, we realized that those food menu was completely changed. No more shrimp tacos, wings, churros, birria tacos, nothing. We were incredibly disappointed to know nothing from what the original menu offered was no longer available. They now have pizzas, (just like every other brewery), and non-crafted cocktails. Such cocktails that they do offer come from draft, which I ordered the blue Hawaiian, as it was typically what I had ordered in the past. To say that this Blue Hawaiian was good is a OVERSTATEMENT. It is no longer the same as it used to be. Plus, the beer has a different flavor, (as my fiance ordered the 'make America juicy again'). YUPPPPP!!! That the name they have for this 'great' beer. Additionally, I tried ordering their grilled chicken sandwich which the young woman that took my order, said they no longer have grilled chicken available. (Keep in mind we arrived around 1:15PM & they open at 11:30AM.) So I instead had to order the fried chicken sandwich, with the side of tater tots. Such fried chicken sandwich came with a purple,soggy bun and salty, mushy tater tots; (as the side of cabbage they offer is thrown on the side.) My fiance ordered some type of burger that was all right, but nothing special. Overall, my fiance and I agreed that we were no longer be returning to what used to be in astonishing establishment. The food is no longer worth the drive. Additionally, the ambience of the establishment changed to a more, 'kid-friendly', which to be completely honest, a brewery and distillery is no place for children, or minors under the age of 18, (IN MY OPINION). With all of this being taken into account, we hope we get to hear from the previous chefs and/or owners of the original Heretic Brewery, so we can follow along and continue to support their ventures. We were passing though the area with our dog and decided to give Heretic Brewing Company a try. The dining area with nice and roomy with lots of tables. They also had Wifi which required a password. I was able to order food at the counter and they gave me a # to place on the table. They also had water dispensers out which was great for me and my doggy. We had the Artichoke fritters. I would rate them a 7/10 they were crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. Just needed a bit for seasoning on them. The dipping sauce was great. The Left Coast Cheesesteak was my favorite. a 10/10. One of the best cheesesteaks I've ever had. Just the right amount of cheese and meat and peppers. It was delicious. The garlic fries could use a bit for garlic and seasoning. The Lonnie burger i would rate it a 8/10. It was very good. It had thick bacon and a juicy patty. The fries were alright.
