Immediately, he noticed the belt was too tight. He didn't have time to road test it at that time but he told me how to prep the bike and come back first thing in the morning. I followed his instructions. First thing the next day, he met me and took my bike out. We didn't hear the squeak but he told me to wait so he can adjust the belt on the spot! When has a mechanic ever done the work while you watched and waited?!! It was so great that he took the time to talk things through and give me the attention we deserve. When I asked how much I owed, he shrugged and said a number that I couldn't feel comfortable without adding 50%. I highly recommend and I will never go back to the dealer again!

READ THEM ALL Because this is exactly what you will get. They are not anecdotal; they are what you will experience. No communication, arrogant, etc. My own experience lined up 100% with the bad reviews, and I'm honestly relieved I never let them touch my bike. Here's what you should know: The staff is dismissive and disrespectful. When I checked in the very next day after dropping off my Ducati, the shop manager snapped back with, "You only dropped it off a day ago." That kind of attitude says it all. After 4 days, I was told they had a lot of "recalls" come in so it would be another 4 or 5 days, and there were two more bikes ahead of mine. Had I not reached out, my bike would have just sat there, and who knows how many other recalls would have come in? I guess "recalls" are the equivalent of "dog ate my homework". The reviews repeatedly point out that their work is hit or miss. In other words, you might not only get treated poorly, you MIGHT also get shoddy work done on your motorcycle. The positive reviews? I can't say for sure, who wrote them sine employees and family can also add reviews. I am not saying they did but, who knows? Be aware. Even their responses to criticism show the same arrogance. One answer to a customer complaint was, "It's Westchester, so it's expensive." Let's be clear: Hudson Valley Motorcycles is in Ossining. Ossining is not Scarsdale, it's not Bronxville, and it's certainly not some high-end part of Westchester that justifies inflated prices. This shop is only seven minutes from my house, but I would never step foot in there again. I'd rather drive an hour to a shop that respects customers and stands by their work. If you want to know how you will be treated for service, watch the Seinfeld episode of "Soup Nazi"! NO SERVICE FOR YOU! Pumped gas here before- but didn't think once about getting my oil changed. With no appointment, went on a whim and wished to be seen before doors closed at 5pm. Pulled up and told to inquire in the "office". Asked Christine- who mans the office and suggested I return the following day, but that didn't cut it for me- and I was in- after some hesitation. As I'm getting a price quote, a man (whoever he is) had the audacity of smoking right in the office. Told Christine I'd wait outside and not be bothered by all his cigarette smoke and went back in a bit after. The "office" is dreary and seriously cluttered. Cushions on chairs are torn and decided it was best to stand. But I kinda looked past that, and chitchatted with Christine while my car was getting serviced. We took care of logistics and finalized my payment. Affordable? I'm not sure- as I can't compare it to anything else except Valvoline's super cheap $19.95 sale. And while there are a million and one Valvoline's, their new model wasn't working for me. The approach here was friendly, professional and there was no lollygagging. I honestly felt confident with the guys here. They were reliable and Christine made waiting- effortless.
