Prior to going there I gave my bike a tune up, did an oil change and changed out the gear fluid. Few days later the bike wasn't idling properly and I couldn't figure out the problem. Took it over to Wheel Sport and explained the idler problem. Returned that afternoon to pick up the bike and the front desk guy proudly tells me that they changed out my spark plugs (I assume one was bad) and they changed out my engine and gear oil... and present me with the bill- well over $500. I asked him to explain to me what changing my engine oil and gear oil had to do with my engine not idling. He couldn't. You can guess what followed. Prior to this- I came in with two tires that I wanted installed. They charged me a SERVICE FEE OF $75 for EACH TIRE, in addition to the set up and mounting of the tires. A bunch of thieves! I will NEVER step foot in there again! read more

Nice showroom. Nice bikes. Nice location Absolutely way overpriced. Changing a rear tire on a bloody sport bike? A zx6r. Takes most professionals 15 minutes to remove the tire and another 10 to place the tire on the rim. Then on their 15 for reinstall. I got quoted $85.00 before tax. With tax it would have been 94.50 almost $100.00 to do a rear tire change. And I'm supplying the tire. I'm writing a negative review not only because they wanted to charge me an hours labor rate for a rear tire (keep in mind almost every tire or motorcycle shop should never charge you more than $60 for a rear tire depending on the bike, never) but I'm leaving the negative feedback because they were almost HAPPY that I didn't want to do my tire at their price. They didn't apologize or even want to negotiate the price. I'm a college student with barely enough money to buy new shoes or food for my girlfriend. Working a minimum wage job and riding a motorcycle for maximum efficiency with fuel and time. I can't afford a $120 tire and a $96.00 install. Depressing. It was like dealing with non responsive, non human robots. read more

Very disappointed with the woman who answers the phone for the service department. I called and respectfully asked to speak with a knowledgable mechanic about a specific question involving the swing-arm bearing for a yz-125 dirt bike. The women who answered was annoyed by my request and claimed that she knew what she was talking about. before I could even finish explaining what needed to be done, she interrupted me with a lazy estimate for 3 hours worth of labor for around $300+ I only needed 2 bearing removed that would have taken an actual mechanic somewhere around 15 minutes to do with the proper tools!!! Very disappointed with you guys at Wheelsport Yamaha, get someone who is more respectful and knowledgable on the phone because until that happens I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

Old-Timey type of dealer. Been around at a few locations since... the '50's? My local dealer for service & advice on just about any brand or year motorcycle, doesn't have to be a Yamaha. Service dept (young Frank) is always accommodating and I have brought them some real "just get it running" projects. Talking with "Old Frank" and Michael at the counter is always a pleasure even if I'm just buying a few oddball parts or just some oil. Very satisfied with their mechanics. Their hourly rates are about the same if not less than any of the other big company mega dealers in the area. Always a pleasure to just stop by and bull*hit with them when I'm in that part of town. read more

I brought my bike in to have it checked out and Jose gave it a through look over and told me all was well with the bike. After checking tire pressure and getting me on my way, Jose could have not been any nicer or professional in helping me out. I have been going there for the past 16 years and have always found them to be helpful and more than willing to go the extra mile to help me out. Just a note regarding this dealer's advice that I get a valve adjustment on my '05 FJR at 20,000 miles. When I questioned whether the owner's manual indicated that that was the correct mileage to have the adjustment done, the person in the service department said "YES, 20,000 miles". Turns out, the manual says 26,600 miles. When I called, the managers said, "Well, sometimes the service people are a bit aggressive". read more

I was made to feel as a valued customer. The service department is tip-top . Can't comment on their sales people as I only have experience with their service department, having my waverunner serviced here at the end of last season. I liked what I received, they did a very clean job and the service manager (can't recall his name) was a pleasant, straight forward guy. I can't give a 0 star review on Yelp, but if I could I would. I dropped my dirt bike off in March and was told it would be returned within a month. It is now August, and I have still not got my bike back. Every time I call the shop to ask when it will be ready they make up excuses and keep changing the story. It has been almost FIVE MONTHS and I have still not got my bike back. Again, last weekend I was told my bike would be ready by Tuesday, and here it is Saturday and it is still not done. I rented a U-Haul for an entire week waiting to pick up my bike and it is still not available. I asked the service manager to drop off my bike since they have not fulfilled their promises, and was told "maybe but it will cost money." The business is disorganized and has terrible customer service at every level. I would never go back to this shop under any circumstances, unless of course my bike does not work as it should when I get it back (assuming that ever happens). Riders beware: if you want to get your bike back within six months, avoid this business at all costs. I have wasted so much time and money dealing with this shop. 0/10 recommend. read more

I don't know how they run a business. I misplaced my receipt from a job they did on my jet ski, so I called them to get a copy of the records and receipt of service... This is where the nightmare starts. I called to make the request around May 6, 2019 and was told that they needed some time to retrieve it because their computer system was not set up to scan and keep copies of receipts and work orders. I was told they do everything by hand. They said "after we're done we throw everything in a box." In a box! I was asked to call back in a week. I called back and was given the run around. The lady at the parts service section told me outright that she forgot to remind the person in charge to check and that she would attempt to relay the message again and get back to me. That was on May 19, 2019. No one got back to me. On May 25, 2019, I decided to go in person to the dealership and was told that the person who is charge of receipts wasn't there and there was no one to help me at that moment, not even her. Place was empty at the time, and I started to wonder how many people does it take to go through a box of receipts? Maybe it's so disorganized that they don't even have it broken down by years. I was told to call and check back in a week or so. Fast forward to May 30, 2019 and I called to get a status of the copy of my receipt. Once again I was told that they forgot to tell the person who was in charge of checking this magical box and was transferred to Frank (Im assuming he's the owner). The guy gets on the phone and starts arguing with me saying that he doesn't have the man power to search through his records. It costs him money to have someone go through the boxes . Then blames me for losing my receipt in the first place! What a joke. It's their business establishment and responsibility to keep accurate records of business transactions. Full of lies and a waste of time. Guess after they have your money you don't matter anymore. Way to keep customers. What type of place disregards their customers with such treatment over a receipt, a simple receipt!? I know who, Wheel Sport Center does. read more

Awesome, A+ sales and service. Franki in sales and his father Frank who built the business are real bike guys who understand how to get things done in sales and parts/service. I bought a brand new 2012 Stratoliner-S after a Demo day there by corp. Yamaha truck. Franki and Carlos in Service are very smart and give fair prices for A+ work. They fix your bike like it's their own. I've also had my clutch serviced, my bike detailed and customized there with crash bars, driving lights, tank leather, etc. I stop in sometimes just to chat and maybe buy something from the discounted clothing rack. If you want to buy a bike and have a long-term relationship with a dealer... no other. If you want the cheapest possible service ... hey, there's a lot of sub-par shops in NYC, Bro. :-) read more

Hi, I had an electrical problem with my BMW..I went to 2 shops, nobody could fix it, brought it to wheel sport center ( they were recommended ) Carlos fixed in in 1 day..Im a female, so other shops try and take advantage...I will definitely send all my friends to Wheel Sport...
