    General Tso's Chicken

I'm on the hunt for the best General Tso in CLT. Unfortunately New York Restaurant only gets 3 stars. The texture isn't good. Too much breading and kinda spongey. The flavor was fine, but I just can't get past the texture.

same planet, different world: apparently tables in a chinese takeout is a carolina thing... and dining in too? four for four on the tally. probably the best chinese take out I've had in the south, crab rangoons are properly pinched across the corners and well filled with a crabby cream cheese fluff leaving some room on top for hot mustards :-) lunch-size kung pao chicken is really just too much of a good thing paired with a generous serving of fried rices: green peppers, bamboo shoots, baby corns, water chestnuts, and chickens and peanuts and stuff in a light gravy (plus mushrooms) is just like mother used to order out. fried rice is exactly that and stands up well to being served omelet-style in the finest tradition. ...and an egg roll :-)

    a bug

I took the food back and the lady takes the bug and squish it in between her fingers and said it was a piece of the mushroom.

Really delicious and quick takeout! We had the general's chicken dinner combo and the Kung pao chicken dinner combo - both were great!

Good and fast. If you need a quick fix on some Chinese this is the spot. Friendly service. Try the chicken and broccoli.

Food was quickly made and very good. Made just how I order. I got the shrimp fried rice and chicken wing. I will be back.

Food is good but damn it needs a make over. I eat here 2 times a month. It would be 4 stars if they remodeled the dinning room.

I especially loved the beef steak -- it was juicy, tender, and seasoned really well. The combination of the steak with the fried rice was amazing. The pastries that came with the meal were also a wonderful surprise: warm, soft, and very tasty. Everything was served beautifully, and the portion size was generous. The atmosphere and service made the experience even better. I would definitely come back again and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a delicious and satisfying meal!

I went back to my car and looked up reviews before driving away. Most of the reviews were good. At that moment, I made a decision: "We're going in!" Even though 'we' is just me. Don't judge; I'm sure you do the same from time to time: consciously or subconsciously. I ordered a Quart of Wonton Soup (very exciting) and Roast Pork Lo Mein (pretty cool). The wait was 10-15 minutes and I paid ahead of time. It was $16 and change but the woman behind the counter stared with great anticipation if i would leave a tip. If I could go back, I wouldn't. For what? They're already marking up prices and this part was strange. Not a fan. Fortunately, the food was good. There were only five wontons (quart usually has 6-8) but it was very good!) The Roast Pork Lo Mein was also strong. It actually had too much Roast Pork for me. At this location, I might just get Chicken Lo Mein next time. But I have been seeing more TikToks with chickens on farms and they're pretty chill so maybe just Lo Mein. I would eat from here again. Hope that helped!

Placed order anyway in person (garlic chicken & sweet-n-sour chicken). Got home, sat down at the table to eat, and we both wanted to toss it in the trash. As printed on the receipt "Loong Asian Cuisine" is nowhere NEEEEAAARR as good as Dragon, and we're both SICK about this. Not going back. Poor taste & skimpy portions. $33 wasted. So sad. I still wish them luck, but we won't be returning.

Me: "Hi, do you recommend the Bourbon Chicken?" Lady Behind Counter: "Yes. Some people like." "But isn't Bourbon Chicken a bayou thing?" "I don't know. Some people like." "Okay. I'll get the Bourbon Chicken with white rice and wonton soup instead of the egg roll, please." I sat at a sticky table, used a menu as a placemat, ate crazy-hot wonton soup (pretty good), lukewarm Bourbon Chicken (bland), and white rice (it's white rice). While eating, a bird kept chirping throughout the meal. It sounded like it was under the table or in the wall, but no sighting. Maybe it was the Bourbon Chicken.
