    4. Chicken with Cashew Nuts

Ordered Cashew Chicken. I had to dig around all of the chopped celery and carrot that filled 3/4 of bowl to find the chicken and very few cashew pieces. If you like sautéed carrot and celery, then order Cashew Chicken. If you like Cashew Chicken, order from elsewhere. Egg rolls were meh, more doughy wrap than filling. Other items ordered were ok, typical Chinese fast food takeout quality- hunan chicken, sesame chicken, beef w/broccoli, general Tso's chicken were all ordered in a single order for our group and we're all on par with other typical takeout places.

Great take-out chinese food! We ordered the boneless ribs, ginger shrimp, and orange beef. It all tasted great! Our order was hot and ready when we arrived. It is a very easy location and pick up. Parking is right there on the side of Harris Teeter. Definitely will be visiting again. Stop in and get some chinese food to night, you won't be disappointed.

This restaurant was recommended by a friend. Great and fast service. No dining only pickup. Serves the Huntersville area. Food was ok but not spectacular. Looking for spectacular Chinese food.

    Sesame Chicken

So wished I read the reviews before ordering. The Sesame chicken was very mushy and a very small portion. It was boxed in with rice. Therefore you're paying for a half order of sesame chicken, egg roll was completely soggy and inedible, fried rice had dry egg and was not fried rice. The wonton soup was 3/4 filled up very salty, no garnishments, will never order from this restaurant again. I am disgusted by the price they charged and giving a lunch size portion of Sesame Chicken. Just so sad that DoorDash has them online. This is not the quality I expect. It is insane that they give you the Sesame chicken only as a half a portion. Not enough more than one person.

Love this place! Best General chicken in the area. Also like the kung pao chicken. Dinner combos come with rice and pork egg roll.

Ordered a large shrimp fried rice. It was great. A good amount of shrimp, vegetables and rice. Would definitely return for this dish!

Ming Garden was recommended by a neighbor, and we are relatively new to the area, so we gave it a try. The place is small and set up for take out only. A young energetic and articulate man greeted us and took our order. It only took about 10 minutes to receive our order and it was announced clearly from behind a well used (or dirty?) sheet of plexiglass. We had Chicken in Garlic Sauce, Orange Chicken and Chicken Lo Mien. The food was seasoned ok, but seemed to have been cooking together a bit too long and unfortunately the vegetables had surrender to a limp and squishy texture. I am still looking for good Chinese restaurant around Charlotte. Please share your suggestions.

Not good for Dining In Been here twice. Once for Dining In the other for Carry Out. There are only a a limited number of tables but don't worry, most are never occupied. From what I can see, most of their business is carry out. First time I tried the Seafood Delights and it was not bad but not great either. Very skimpy on the scallops and the veggies were cooked to a mush. Take out the second time and it was Chicken with Walnuts and had no taste of texture. Very bland food and to get any flavor, don't use the sauces with any type of moderation. Very luke warm presentation, sort of like the Subway of Chinese Food. Would not recommed.

Kind of reminded me of the texture of spanakopita in a bun. They were generously filled and delicious. Yangzhou fried rice had a mix of scallops, shrimp, chicken and veggies. Portion was huge, husband could barely finish it. I ordered spicy wonton in chili oil, and mini spare ribs in black bean sauce dim sum. Loved them both. Seasonings and spice level were perfect. I'd order those again. We also got a selection of dumplings - pork and veggie shumai, steamed potstickers, and crystal shrimp dumplings. Loved all of them. I love the relaxed vibe here. Our server was attentive, professional and gave us space to enjoy our meal with minimum interruptions. We were greeted when we arrived and she waved goodbye when we left. While dining, I saw quite a number of takeout orders picked up by customers and dashers, which is something we'll definitely do in the future. The dining area and bar are in one big room with huge windows that make the space feel spacious and light. Even tho it's one big room, tables aren't crammed together. Music is low enough to talk at normal volume. We really enjoyed our first time here, plan to eat here again and highly recommend it if you haven't been.

Normally, I'm not too surprised by the pricing (even for lunch), but it felt a bit high...given that everything was served on paper and plastic wares. I did like how they have these DIY take-home plastic wares accessible and ready to go...so some points for that! Overall, it's just a casual eatery...not a full scale restaurant. I prefer full scale service, complete with nicely plated presentations, but this type of DIY eatery is just something that's becoming more common.

It all started with missing white rice…read more I had been working all day and hadn't consumed Chinese food in about a year. I love Chinese food but I have been paying off debt like Al Capone wanted his loan-shark money back, which led to me going from 27.3k to currently 1.8k on my Discover within a year. This background is to let you know why I haven't been eating a lot of Chinese food. It has nothing to do with sodium. But this is about wonton soup, sesame chicken, lo mein, white rice, and a drunk guy (not me). All of the food items listed above were solid. And they are always solid across the board. I wouldn't put this restaurant as #1 for any of those individual items in Lake Norman but I do put them #1 for all food as a whole. In other words, Jin Jin has the best wonton soup but you only get four wontons and they aren't as good at other stuff, and it just doesn't seem as clean--Huang's Chef is impeccably clean. Huang's China Bistro in Cornelius has the best sesame chicken but their lo mein and wonton soup aren't quite as good (still very good though). Lotus on River Hwy (Rt 150) has the best lo mein but not quite as good on the other stuff (but still very good). Huang's Chef (Mooresville) is a solid 9.0 across the board so it's where I order most. But the time prior to this one, I drove all the way to Huntersville and they forgot my white rice. This isn't a major issue but it kind of does ruin the experience after spending $30 for one person on dinner. Fortunately, they gave me a free pint of wonton soup the next time I went in. I was so excited to eat their food again that I ordered when driving by and had to wait. While outside and thinking I was alone on the strip-mall sidewalk, I practiced pronouncing "Huang's Chef." In order to do it, you need to inhale 5% on the "Huah" sound and exhale 95% on the "Wang" sound. I was getting good at it and repeating, "Huah-Wang's Chef ... Huah-Wang's Chef" while pacing, but a dude from from Marty's Bar popped out to smoke a cigarette and looked at me funny. "Just practicing," I said while nodding to indicate all was normal. "For what?" he laughed. I could tell he was one of those friendly drunk guys. "Huah-Wang's Chef." He walked over to cut the distance between us in half and laughed while taking a drag of his cigarette. Tall and skinny guy mid-60s with scruff and loose clothes that fit his personality. "Huah-Wong's Chef," he said. "No," I corrected. "It's Wang." "No it ain't," he cackled. "It's Wong." "That would be the Cantonese version. That's not correct." "I don't eat cantaloupes." He just started cracked up at his own joke, which wasn't funny, but then funny because of how much he enjoyed it. Then he continued, "What if we just put it together and start our own Chinese restaurant called Wang-Wong!" Bar guys always talk about things like this but know they will never follow through, and I didn't want to start a Wang-Wong Chinese restaurant with a scruffy-looking drunk guy. I had the perfect out anyway because Huang's Chef told me 15 minutes and it was about that time. "Good to meet you, but I have to go get my food now at Huah-WANG'S Chef." "Wong!" he cackled again as I walked away. Anyway, I definitely recommend Huang's Chef. It's a good price with solid portions and quality taste across the board. The restaurant itself is one of the cleanest Chinese restaurants I have ever seen, which is always a good sign. Definitely recommended.
