The young man behind the counter is very friendly and helpful, Squiggy himself I can tell does not have the best knowledge of comic books, when Squiggy is by himself, if I have a certain book I want he always tells me his guy will be in on Tuesday. Squiggy is a nice guy but rarely gets up from behind his chair. Now if you are into NEW comics, this is the perfect place to go, but when it comes to back issues you are better going to AW YEAH COMICS in HARRISON (just 5 miles away), below the new books he has the back issues in an awkward place, on the floor and if you are older like me that is not the most comfortable spot and the back issues are very non relevant, no keys will ever be displayed...it is very rare to find a key book in his shop. They keep the good books behind the counter in long/short boxes only for sale on e-bay, which Squiggy let slip out to me in the past. Like I stated if you are into new books or want to take small children this shop is fine, for the hard core collector looking for key back issues (or even fillers) this place is not it, and I have been coming here for over 10yrs. they do have space in the rear of the store where they could set up a few tables with long boxes but choose not to do so. read more

Most convenient place in New Rochelle to get brand new comics! They are very reliable in putting aside titles that you read every week.

I have been living in New Rochelle for the last 8yrs. I do see reviews of how the owner is Lazy, he is a bit gruff...but he is a nice guy. He does have a young kid working for him and he is very helpful, as far as the comics they have a great selection of the new books...all you want, but if you are strictly a back issues collector like myself, it's very limited. All the good back issues are on the floor behind Ziggy and he saves them for online sales, he has a row of dollar box books on the floor, which are really back breaking to get to especially if you are my age (51), and the books I did go thru before my back began to give out were not really worth it. Great comic store. Been coming here for a few years and no real complaints. Place is clean, neat, and fairly organized. They carry a good selection and can back order something for you if they're out of stock. It's located in the middle of a small strip mall less than a mile north of New Roc City. The parking lot is terrible and unorganized (not Squiggy's fault), so unless it's fairly empty, you can park on the street with the meter or a side street nearby. So if you're in the area and are a comic fan, be sure to check it out. read more

Love going here, they are very attentive and helpful with what you need. They offer a very simple and efficient pull list system so you can always get your hands on the comics you were waiting for to come out. I have not attended myself, but they offer different card game (Yu Gi Oh, Magic: The Gathering) tournaments on different days of the week. Nice location, with good bites to eat right there by Squiggys. Love it here. And the PULL LIST IS FREE, no deposit, or fee. read more

talk about a hole in the wall comic shop, not unless your from the area do you know about this shop. surprisingly i stop by and was able to find all the new dc 52 still available and a few old issues that were out of first print. he does also offer 1 dollar comic book section which is pretty cool. they do have card games and it gets pretty packed over all not bad spot if your in the area waiting for your movie to start not far from new roc. read more

This tiny and unkempt store owner is devoid of passion for art. Almost all the comics were invariably sub-par in condition and the non-chronological displays mostly unreachable or visible to my niece, let alone adults. All the issues people have with negative pricing and service has veracity. This depressing hole in the wall will be another deli sooner or later. read more

I like this place a lot. Squiggy's nice, a bit grouchy but still nice. Brian is super nice. Store is clean, well laid out, and bright, which is saying a lot for a westchester comic book store. Helpful and responsive staff, occasional discounts, dollar comics piles, good stuff. read more
