My insurance company suggested I ask them to submit corrected claims, so I've called Kinjal several times to straighten this out, but I can't get her on the phone. I keep getting bills via text message and I want to resolve these issues, but customer service is very poor. We're thinking about leaving this practice.

She was very calm, thorough, and professional when explaining my procedure and what to expect. She left a lot of room open for questions during my consult, before and after my appointment. During my procedure, Dr. Gilberg and her hygienist that was assisting, made it as worry-free as possible. I was able to wear headphones and they even tapped on my shoulder during the numbing process to distract me-which I thought was a unique and thoughtful gesture. Dr. Gilberg also makes herself available for any questions or concerns post-procedure. The office itself was also fantastic. All of the staff-the hygienists and desk staff were all friendly and welcoming.

I had a very pleasant experience with Dr Stender and his staff. I chose this practice because it…read morewas the only one of 2 in the area that accepted my health insurance. It's about 25 miles away but worth it to be covered for oral surgery. When I went to Dr Stender's office for the initial consultation the staff was very nice. During the consult, the doctor and his assistant were cheerful. I felt like I was with friends. Dr explained the procedure in detail but in layman's terms. His receptionist told me the approximate copay which was within a few dollars of the actual amount. I left confident that what seemed like a major thing- crown lengthening (bone shaving), was a minor operation. It turned out to be routine and minor oral surgery. In fact, I drove myself to and from the office on the day of the surgery. Dr Stender skillfully applied local anesthesia. It didn't hurt when he inserted any of the needles nor when he did the surgery. I was only there for about 45 minutes from parking my car to heading back home. I had no pain afterwards and I did apply a cold pack for the first couple of hours per instructions. I never took any pain meds and returned a week later to have stitches removed. I had no discomfort or complications. I highly recommend Dr Stender and his associates. He always used my preferred nickname which is more than I can say for some of my co-workers :-) if you're looking for excellent service from competent and personable professionals look no further.

After telling them about my phone call with their office, they apologized but were otherwise unhelpful. So I had to pay for the exam and now I have to find another periadontist and most likely have to have another exam. They should have told me at the front desk when I arrived when I gave them my insurance card that they did not accept my insurance and it would cost me $150 for the visit. If they had done that, I would have just left. The experience felt very predatory and I would not recommend this office whether they accept your insurance or not.

It's been two years and the graft has held. Before seeing them, I'd spent enough on dentists to buy a small car -- and a number of those dentists were no good.
