Lyndi was my first CrossFit coach, back when CF PFB was a garage box in Yelm, WA. She started me…read moreoff so well that I was able to step right into a bigger box when she and co-owner/husband, Ben, moved to Oregon. Due to the driving distance being "only" 2.5 hours, I went to their current box once for a memorial WOD, in August, 2013. The facility is spacious and the equipment new. The layout is well-planned and efficient. There is only one restroom, but I never saw anyone waiting in line ;) They have a challenging 800m run course that goes uphill! Coaching is fantastic. I didn't work out under Ben too much back in their garage box, but he provided me with the support and positive critiques on my visit here, that I expect from CrossFit coaching. He's very motivational and yet cognizant of physical limitations (I have a bad shoulder). Lyndi is still as great a coach as always, too. She has a way of inspiring more effort, just when I think I can't do any more. After giving me the basics, she has continued to applaud my progress on Facebook - a friend as well as a coach. :) Community - as I said, I was only here once for a memorial WOD, but I met several people who were friendly and encouraging, cheering for each other (and me). I would imagine they are like that with their fellow athletes on a regular basis. I wish I had been able to go WOD with Lyndi and Ben more, but will always be thankful for their introduction to CrossFit that set me on a lifelong path of functional fitness. If you have never tried CrossFit, don't short yourself - go do it! Someone might look at me, a 58-year-old woman with a bad shoulder, and not think it advisable to do such extreme workouts. The key is in the coaching! The key is in how CrossFit can be scaled to give the best results for each individual, no matter your fitness level, age, or physical limitations. At CrossFit PFB, you will get healthier and do things you never imagined you could do.

Ive been going here a week now and I love it. Ben is an awesome instructor. I feel very comfortable…read moreand encouraged coming here and I never feel rushed. I am a good 50+ pounds overweight so going to the gym has never been pleasant, I am a little self conscious. I get a great workout every time I go here and I enjoy it a lot. The new box is awesome and very spacious:)

The best gym classes I have ever been to. If you want to switch off your brain, no phones, no…read morescreen time, just 1 hr of focus on your mind and body, this is the place for you. Orange theory helped me with my posture, work out routine and created more awareness about my body. Flexible class options. This is studio is wonderful and welcoming everyday of the week except for Friday when Shay teaches…read more I've been an OT member for 3 + years at multiple different studios. It's been amazing experience until I attended Shay's Tread 50 on Friday. This is not a an OT class this is a bro gym with yelling and what Shay calls his "OG" members. The music is beyond loud with heavy bass and filled with curse words, sex, and songs demeaning women. There is no variety. The tread 50 is the only OT class I have not attended. I had no way of knowing the treads get cards (which weren't set up or given out). Shay never said anything. The screens were off so I couldn't even see what block it is. After about 15- 20 minutes of no instruction, I went to ask the front desk about instructions and asked if the music could change to something not objectifying women. I also made the comment I could have worked at home for free with the same instructions. I was given a card and the desk agent spoke to Shay. Another 10 minutes went by, and I went to ask the front desk if there could be some variety. I've attended a lot of OT, and there typically is some variety. Shay then proceeding to come up to me, while I was working out to tell me off for coming to his class. He made a big deal of telling me Friday nights were his and he runs it differently from every other OT coach and location. He told me off for not asking him about the tread card or instructions. Basically, making it seem like it was my fault for not knowing the rules of "his" gym. He made it out to be my fault for not having been to a Tread 50 or one of his classes before. When I told him I hadn't been to a tread 50, he rolled his eyes. He also chewed me out for talking to the desk agent instead of him (he was preoccupied broing out with the lifters) When I called him out on he put his hand on my elliptical, stopping it, and accused me of using "client privilege" and told me he'll be taking to management about this. He went up in emotion and I felt like he was trying to intimidating me. Shay made it very clear this is his gym on Fridays he runs it his way. I pay for a membership to Orange Theory not Shay's gym. I recommend any other studio or just going to Barre
