Gutwein is a 4th Generation Family owned Ford dealership in the small community of Monon Indiana, and the family and staff gave great service and delivered a great product and wonderful service to us. In a car with a 100 mile range that reduces to 60 or so on the highway, I realized it would be a Challenge. I needed a final charge to get me the last 30 miles. I researched my options, and found that Gutwein has a charger. I called and asked if I'd be able to use it, and they said, "Sure!" So I arrived with barely 5 miles left on the "tank" and found the charger blocked by a gasoline-using truck. Ut oh. But wait! Employee to the rescue! When they saw me pull up, one of their staff members immediately hopped up, turned on the charger, and moved the truck. I hung out for about an hour, used their bathroom twice, and they never tried to convince me to change cars or get my tires rotated or any of the other things I was afraid of. So, there are some good people there. If you're wanting to buy a car, check them out, if only because kind humans who do things out of that kindness, rather than from an ulterior motive, are few and far between.

The owner has been in business for 25 years and is shop is stacked with cars. Anyone could see that he didn't have time for another job today but when he heard that I was driving to Florida, he sympathized and took a look under the hood. Luckily it wasn't a big problem; however, we needed a part so a phone call and 15min later, I was good to go! If all of life worked like this, frustrations would be a thing of the past. She limped it to the motel in Remington and spent the night. I arrived the next morning and took it to Clarence (only repair shop in town). He made room for me and started right away to get me back on the road as quickly as possible. Diagnosed the problem immediately and had the parts there in no time. Very professional and does the repairs the correct way . Was pleasantly surprised when the bill was less than half of what my local dealer had charged when the other front wheel had the same service (hub replacement). Clarence even apologized for the high cost of the parts. He would be my go-to mechanic if i wasn't 3 hours away. Do not hesitate to have Clarence work on your car, you will not be disappointed.

The radiator we received ended up having a larger leak then the one I gave them in exchange. I called multiple times asking for my $$ back. Finally they agreed to give me my money back but would charge a restocking fee. They kept my old radiator though. I feel like if they were going to charge me a restocking fee (for a crappy radiator) then I should have at least got my old one back. Makes me wonder if they sold mine to someone else already.
