We started out as weekly lesson riders and happily progressed to be boarders. The owner, Kathryn, is a superb instructor for riders, trainer of horses and show coach. This facility has an indoor ring attached to the barn and two outdoor rings. The barn manager, Don, cares for the horses with total dedication. Tommy gets to know all her students and horses quite well; and she's helped me work through some blocks with all three of my horses. She even got me back on my horse who had had me terrified for years after finding out where the communication disconnect was in our relationship. Tommy observes and adjusts her teaching style per student and horse. Whether you are boarding there with your own horse or on one of the school masters. Everyone there, both those who work there and those that just ride there, pays attention to detail and helps make it a great community to be a part of.

I've experienced better."…read more Yesterday, a Saturday, I checked their website to see that they were open 'till 5 and made the drive from Arlington to Littleton to arrive around 3:20 only to have the door shut in our faces and be told, "I'm leaving early today." Granted it was a nice day to be riding one's motorcycle,but welcome to retail where you don't close the door on a customer well within normal business hours. Would I visit again? I'm not so stupid as to boycott if there were a good chance that they might have what I was looking for at a reasonable price. However, I'd never go again without calling first to be sure they'd be open and I recommend that you do the same. And some retailers wonder why so much business has moved to the Web? (Yes, I was able to complete my business elsewhere.)

On a beautiful 68 degree day I came here to walk the rail trail with friends but would've loved it…read morejust as much had I run, biked or rollerbladed. There were many families out doing the same but because everyone is courteous and follows etiquette of passing and staying on the right or left, it remained quite enjoyable. The trail itself is a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. The locals are friendly, and the trail itself is flat and well maintained. Yet much of the landscape remains untouched and there is plenty of wildlife (great for bird watching), plants (native, non-native, and unfortunately invasives too), and interesting rock formations to observe. I like to take advantage of the tranquility offered only by nature (the sound of the streams, melodic bird songs, the stillness, and even the smell of the great outdoors). We also stopped by the little ice cream shop in Pepperrell which was a lovely break and a bit of a reward for all the excercise we all got. The only downside, as someone who is highly allergic to insect bites, is the highly aggressive mosquitoes. But just make sure you wear plenty of bugspray and bring enough to reapply. Also don't forget your hat and sunscreen!
