I took her to Angell Memorial Hospital and medical care began. My name was the only name on the account. At no time was anyone from Gofi allowed to visit Karma in the ICU unit. After I left Angell, the Executive Director of Gofi Dogs visited without telling me. She told them she was the "co-owner" of Karma. They denied her access. Angell called later that week and said an "irate woman was calling them, verbally abusing three staff members, and trying to get access to Karma." They denied her again. Several Gofi staff members told me they witnessed this and said the Executive Director was completely unhinged. The Executive Director called me a few days later and said, "If I had known Karma needed dialysis and had been allowed access to her, I would've had her euthanized." READ THAT AGAIN. I don't care about the bullying, harassment, getting the Walpole police involved (the Executive Director did that too), calling a lawyer she knew I'd contact (more on that later), the lack of communication, or the flip-flopping about how much money she demanded. I only care about what Karma had to go through. Because the account was in my name only, Karma had that fighting chance. And because of that, she's alive. If it had been the Executive Director of Gofi Dogs' decision, Karma wouldn't be. READ THAT AGAIN TOO. Karma had no one as she sat in that cage for days with tubes sticking out of her and having no idea if I was coming back. That is beyond inexcusable. I sent an email to the Board of Directors of Gofi Dogs. I never heard back from them. Not. A. Word. The Executive Director of Gofi Dogs set up a fundraising platform for Karma and raised well over $1000. I never saw a dime. I contacted a lawyer and he said, "If you have any social media content up, take it down." "Why?" I asked. "Someone from Gofi contacted me and warned me about you. They don't want their reputation tarnished." I asked if it was the Executive Director of Gofi. "No," he said, "It was someone else on their board." The Executive Director also had my review taken down somehow so this is my second posting. Unethical, conniving, and shady all around.

She is probably one of the most unprofessional people I have ever had the misfortune of interacting with. She often missed appointments that she scheduled, or ran very late without providing any notifications. She never took the time to provide feedback for how my child was doing and gave many contrasting guidelines. For example, she stresses how she is not an expert witness, yet she cancelled an appointment once because she was called to testify in court. I suppose there is a price for everything. I would often ask for resources and the books she recommended were not helpful. She gave me a referral to another counselor at the center to help with additional challenges my child was facing and the other therapist never got back to me when contacted. I have interacted with other clients who have repeatedly complained of how poorly run their appointments were. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for help.

I was with her before CoVID and the transition to virtual sessions during the pandemic was seamless. She pays close attention to details that are important to you - more than just about whatever issues you may be working on, but also about what matters to you. She has been a great asset for me in working through numerous problems that have come up through the years, and providing me relevant, practical advice on how to work to improve myself and my strengths. I also want to note how much Christine truly cares about those she works with, as she has, on numerous occasions, had impromptu sessions with me when I needed urgent therapeutic support. Since Kathleen has been working with him, walks are such a pleasure now. He is checking in and managing his anxiety instead of freaking out and reacting. He loves his trips to Pine Banks to see the ducks and you can really tell they have a routine as he and my older dog practically drag me over there to do their own thing. I met her four years ago while walking my dog on the street. I could immediately tell she knew well how to communicate with dogs and she treated them with love, care and patience. I did not realize she was a dog walker at the very beginning but as soon as she told me, I knew she is the one I can trust. For the years followed, I had Kathleen taking care of benny a few times, each time a one or two week long vacation. She never let me down! She was on time, paying attention and very professional. She kept records in detail on Benny's behavior. She had a checklist of her duties and Benny's routine. She had yummy treats (they are even organic!) at her own cost for benny. She gave Benny plenty of exercise time. Recently we moved to Woburn which was about 8 miles away. I was wondering if Kathleen would still come to walk Benny. She did! She still offered me the same low rate which never changed for the past four years and she came with a pot of beautiful flowers as a gift to our new house! That was so nice of her! I am very happy to write my review here (my first review on Yelp) for Kathleen to show my appreciation for her superb service. She is the one who knows animals and loves them. Your pets will love her, and you will, too!
