However, I have never been to a practice where EVERYONE is professional, friendly, and genuinely concerned. Contemporary Family Dentistry is just that, GENUINELY CONCERNED. They wanted the best for me, my budget, and my health. I live an hour away from Newcastle and the drive is the least of my concern when getting treated by professionals who truly care and do an AMAZING job. I was talked to like I was not even human I was told one price but was charged another and mind you I paid out of pocket CASH no insurance no payment plans nothing then for the dentures to not even be made correctly. At the initial consultation I was told that permanent dentures were included in my total pricing but when i went to the appointment that was set for them to be made permanent there was a sudden charge, how ?. So not only am I walking around with "healing dentures " and not the permanent ones I was told came with what I paid I now have to go to another dentist and come out additional money to get permanent dentures. I would never recommend this place to anyone, not even an enemy that's how bad and horrific my experience was with OKC Smiles !

I recently went to have a crown procedure done by Dr. Coles & his assistant. After Dr. Coles put…read morethe crown on, his asst. was trying to floss in between the tooth that had just been crowned. Apparently she waited to long before doing the floss & the crown had already set. She tried for what felt like 15-20 minutes. She made the made the Dr. aware and he tried to do the floss. He ended up trying to floss in between & when it didn't work, he proceeded to remove the crown so to do the flossing. he did this for a considerable amount of time. It felt like he was trying to remove my tooth. Dr Coles called & left messages with concerns about if I was in pain. I had tooth pains & called the office a day later to complain about how my tooth hurt, my bite was off, there were sharp edges on my teeth that were cutting my tongue & how it hurt to chew on the side of my mouth where the procedure had been done. I was told to come back. When I returned Dr.Coles proceeded to tell me that I didn't hear he & his asst. discussing her mistake. He then attempted to fix the issues & told me "that no dentist would ever tell you this but do not floss in between that tooth" & " to let it set". I then receive a bill in the mail for $300.00. HE CHARGED ME FOR HIS MISTAKE!! I would NOT recommend them

I called last week, asking if the could get my husband in because he was in pain due to the needed extractions. I was assured we would hear back on Tuesday. We never received a call back. Today we arrived for our cleanings. They had no records of our appointments. They now reschedule our appointments for September. We are new to the area. She wanted to extract my tooth which had healthy roots and put a bridge on three of my teeth costing me more than $3000. Another clinic did a core build up, put a crown and saved my tooth for at least 20 more years. Extracting a tooth is the worst decision in your life and it should not be extracted if it has healthy roots. Never let these money motivated doctors take your money and ruin your mouth. They wanted to take out my entire tooth which didn't have any pain at all. It was just broken and needed a crown!
