Fantastic family-friendly adventure nestled in the green rolling hills NNE of Roseville. Perfect venue for stretching out and experiencing a very different kind of farm... instead of picking berries and other fruit, this farm hosts patrons to pick bunches of lavender. $5 per person (kids under 12 are free) is a bargain for this kind of wholesome activity and it buys you one bunch of lavender that you pick/cut on your own. Additional U-pick bunches cost $8 apiece. Instruction, basket, scissors, and luxurious smell of lavender wafting across the field are provided at no extra charge. Free and plentiful parking. Not gimmicky, touristy or schmaltzy, but a real genuine bucolic treat. Staff is wonderful and happy to answer any questions. Farm also produces a plethora of lavender products from soaps and sanitizers to bath salts and moisturizers. Dried lavender stalks are also available for agricultural and home use such as for chicken bedding, firestarters, etc... they truly show you how to use the entire plant for multiple functions and applications. All farm made products are available for sale to the public. A word about bees: they are there in force doing what God intended bees to do: suck nectar from lavender flowers to be used in making a most fragrant honey. They ignore you totally and if you cut a stalk with a bee on the flower, a little tiny shake will send it happily to another flower. Still if you are allergic, (or scared of bees) there are free bee sting kits and antidote at the checkin table that you can borrow. We were there over 2 hours and estimated about 75 other people picking lavender in the field between the ages of 2 to 82 and no one got stung. Highly recommended. Solid 5 stars. Mahalo for reading my review.

I placed an order for hand sanitizer on March 15th. At that time there was nothing on the website…read moresaying that they weren't taking new orders. I got an email that my order was received, and they took the payment from my account. After 1 week, I emailed to check the order, no response. I called them a week after that, again, just to check on order status and if the order was not going to be filled, I would like a refund. Their answering machine message says their online store is open and they are checking and returning calls multiple times a day. I've called 2 times now (3/27 and 4/3) and haven't gotten a call back. I also tried reaching out to their Facebook page and they haven't even read the message. I don't want to leave a bad review, and I don't want anything free, I am asking for Some sort of reply to me and either the product I ordered or my money refunded. Please Lavender Ranch, make things right. I also my job purchased from you and is experiencing the same thing (no product, lack of response etc.) please return emails or calls and or send the product or refund people!

Came for the open house event in August. It was sooo fun! I had never heard of this farm before but…read moresaw it pop up on Facebook. When we arrived, I definitely was not expecting the alpacas to be free roaming!! They were so cute and obviously well taken care of and loved. I bought some alpaca food for $5 and it was a big portion that kept me and my family busy. All of the staff was friendly and very accommodating. It was a hot day without shade but we didn't have much of a problem.

If you are an animal lover this is the place for you! You can visit for the day or stay the night…read moreby camping in your own RV. There is also an option to "glamp" in the tent provided by the farm. The alpacas and a few other animals are free roaming and will greet you at your campsite or the petting zoo area. If you have food they will definitely come! It was so much fun interacting with the animals on this farm. We camped for the night and in the morning we were greeted at our van by the old donkey on the farm. The alpacas are the main star though, so friendly and adorable! We brought our dogs with us and the alpacas were very curious to meet them. They followed us around the farm for quite a while. I literately fell in love with this place and I can't wait to go back!!! There were even twins goats born the hour before we arrived. What's not to love about this amazing place. I feel lucky to have experienced it!
