Best time ever! The kids enjoyed feeding and interacting with the alpacas and other farm animals. The staff were so kind and made sure everyone was taken care of. They have a cute little gift shop with Alpaca made items, and the option to buy a photo shoot with the alpacas. Entry was FREE just needed to purchase pellets ($5 bag). Great experience

If you want to meet, learn about, and feed alpacas and llamas, this is a great place to do so!

One of the coolest experiences I've had. So peaceful hanging out with Alpacas, goats, ducks, a pig and donkey. You get a giant cup of feed and the team there is so friendly and knowledgeable. Don't forget the gift shop tons of cool alpaca themed items. I can't wait to come back definitely feeling more zen.

Great place to visit with the kids. You can book your 1 hour tour online. You can feed the alpaca and pet the goats. There is a little giftshop onsite. We will definitely be back!

This is the second time we have been out to visit the alpaca farm in two weeks! Everyone we have met have been so knowledgeable and friendly. We willdefinitely be returning with our other friends. The view of Washoe Valley and Mount Rose is St!

My friends and I had an incredible time with the alpacas (honorable mentions: donkey, llama, pig, and sheep)! They are the cutest creatures and we had so much fun feeding, petting, and just being in their presence. We found this place through Hipcamp so camped for two nights right on the farm. The animals often came by our site to say hello! The porta potty was clean and there was a convenient hand washing station. The ranch store was a cute self-serve spot with farm fresh eggs, honey, alpaca fur items, and souvenirs. Overall, it was a unique and entertaining experience for everyone and we hope to return!

This was the most amazing place to camp for the night. It's so fun! You drive in and are able to pitch your tent (or camper) right admist the alpacas, which is such a unique experience. Their store is also extremely cute and super convenient being open 24/7. Definitely recommend!!

Stacy is the best! She has been a great mentor and we love visiting the herd with the kids! What kid wouldn't want 45 alpacas around them!

The animal area has been cleaned up and there are tons of working sinks to wash hands. You can purchase animal food, pony rides, and bottles to feed the animals. There is also a play gym, train rides, hay rides, trike races, zip lines, slides, dirt to shovel, and more. My three year old easily spent over three hours here and loved every minute. We will definitely be back in the fall!! My only suggestion to andelin farms is to add a fan in the baby nursing hut. It was very stuffy in there.

They…read moreset up a long ticket booth to the right of the entrance with nice winding queue line, divided into Prepaid and Purchasing lines. I was surprised to see how they pushed the entrance area past the barn, but totally makes sense for those who may want to just stop by to shop and not want to enjoy the festivities. The staff were all friendly and kept up with keeping the animal pens clear of poop, especially for the petting ones. They had signage to designate which ones you could feed the animal food to and which ones you couldn't enter due to the animals resting. I really liked how they sectioned off all the animals off to the left side with its own entrance and exit and lots of sanitizing and handwashing stations nearby. They had some new things at the farm too. I saw signage advertising Cuddling with Calves for $20 (kids 8+). They also had some additional calves to see and pet along the way. So adorable! Outside of the animal area, they had a new section, Peacock Pedalers, that allowed kids and adults to ride tricycles around. They also had refreshment stations within the farm for drinks, kettlecorn, and other snacks, which made it convenient. What surprised me was that the features that were typically busy on our past visits, like the mini zip lines and the barrel ride, were very little to no waits. They offered lots of seating for taking a break and grabbing some food from the three food trucks they offered. The pulled pork nachos were yummy! It was a great deal to spend the day at the farm for $20 tickets. Yes, they offered lots of additions like the animal feed, train tickets, and gem sluicing for a price but not really necessary to have a great experience. The baby chicks and goats were the highlight of our visit. My daughter wants to go back next weekend!

I called back & asked a question & he just stopped speaking to me and started talking to people I guess in his busy line? I patiently wait for him to return to the phone (btw he never said please hold on mam or anything for that matter) he returns and barks "what do want!" I said EXCUSE ME! I had a few more questions bc I am confused and he yells again SO what do you want?? I told him well i already asked you my question but you cut me off and started speaking to someone else so I'm actually waiting for your answer. He tells me then they are busy& have customers bla bla and I said well sir I am a customer as well and your phone # is listed on the website to contact. I told him the online prices were different from what he told me and he says well I don't know where you found that. On your website! I say! I then say just want to double check that I don't have to pay an additional amount on top of a bracelet for the bounce house bc other customers claimed so on yelp. Boy he didn't like that he snaps at me and says it's 15$ bracelet all rides included-$20 for pony ride plain and simple WHAT did I JUST TELL you?! He is yelling at me people no joke! Mind you their website says it is $22 and you get a book of 20 tickets. There's also an entrance fee listed $5 for one area $10 for a different area and $20 for all areas plus tickets. So you can see why I was clearly confused! Plus on Yelp reviews listed all kinds of other prices! Oh and when I brought up yelp stating diff prices he tried to deny that being their company lol prob bc he was embarrassed at their ratings but now I see why everyone said on here the owners/employees are so rude I mean this guy was by far the rudest man I've ever encountered for a business! I lost count how many times he snapped at me "WHAT DO YOU WANT!"

You have to pay $18 per kid for just the bounce houses and there's no one regulating them. If you want to do anything more the wristbands are $25 each! That's $50 for 2 kids!!!! And there's not much else. No food or drinks. Except water & cotton candy or Carmel apples. Ridiculous for what they are charging. Plus there are hazardous materials just lying on the ground! Never again will we return.

We bumped into Jay Frey and his desert stream farm booth and I could've stayed there for an hour. They had heirloom tomatoes, cherry tomatoes in four or five different colors, it seemed. Friendly faces that answered questions were available. Heck, it seems like Jay was the tomato whisperer as he pointed out to my wife, which tomato to eat tomorrow not today. He also had a small supply of greens, that we never even tasted, and that's another reason for us to return. Here's the good news, this was Tuesday night, August 19 and Jay let us know that the farmer's market has got another six weeks and then it will be done for this season. It's your chance to come taste some of the best tomatoes of your life. The Minden farmers market is open Tuesday evenings and there's a lot going on here that makes it a friendly fun stop. It's a lot like stepping into a Norman Rockwell painting and who wouldn't like that. We enjoyed a cocktail, we sampled potato chips and dip, which we ended up making a purchase and we met many friends while hobnobbing around the market. So you've got the chance to eat tasty, locally owned and grown produce purchased about four miles from the farm. That is something to celebrate these days. We ended up eating one of the four heirloom tomatoes as part of our dinner last night. It was delicious, and I was particularly proud of the fact that I resisted eating every bit of the tomato prior to it getting added to the dish.
