I was disappointed with my experience at Newhall Ice Building. The employee who helped us came across as uninterested and seemed more focused on getting us in and out than providing good customer service. What stood out most was that we asked for one additional brown paper bag, and it felt like a hassle for him to accommodate such a simple request. It wasn't the bag itself--it was the overall attitude. The interaction felt rushed and somewhat rude, which left a negative impression. I understand everyone has off days, but customer service goes a long way, especially for small requests that could easily be handled with a positive attitude. read more

The staff here is friendly, helpful, and fast! I needed to pick up bagged ice and dry ice for an impromptu camping trip last weekend and I was in and out of there in 3 minutes tops. I have to give a one since they charged way too much for C02. It has been years since I had a working kegerator and even longer since I needed C02. I stopped by to fill a spare tank after my new kegerator was running low. The guy quoted $13 and change with tax. I was screwed and I didn't enjoy it. read more

Recently bought a mosquito trap that is amazing. But it uses CO2 to help attract the nasty bug. I went to a local welding shop near Discount Furniture and purchased a tank and co2. The 10lb tank with co2 was over $200. Refills are $29 plus a swap/core fee and tax. They gave me a tank that looked like it was made during WWII. Nice folks there but paying 30% more for tax and this core fee hurts. I looked at amazon and could get a 20lb tank for far less. The issue is that most places swap the tank. So my brand new tank would look like WWII ordinance once I needed new co2. I looked around online and found that Newhall Ice sells co2. And will fill your tank. Kelsey helped me with my purchase and was super personable. She asked my name and helped me with a fantastic attitude. The cost of the refill? $27 plus tax. Oh, and that was for my 20lb tank! $39 for a 10lb tank of co2 from the welding shop... or $27 for a refill of my 20lb tank. My mosquito trap (works amazing) has now become much much more affordable to operate. Thank you Kelsey and Newhall Ice.
