I have been having issues with my dryer for a few months now where the clothes come out hot as if they are dry, but after they cool down you could still feel that they aren't fully dry. Sometimes I was putting them through the dryer extra times probably wasting energy, but most other times leaving them in the sun to finish drying. I sent a message through Yelp not expecting an immediately reply, but I was pleasantly surprised that only within a few minutes someone was already contacting me to schedule an appointment. They told me if it's an emergency they could come that evening, but I told them it's not an emergency, and they actually scheduled me for today in the afternoon (next day). I was really pleased with being able to get an appointment so fast. Carlos arrived with his team, a total of 3, and they got to work almost immediately. My dryer vent goes out to the roof and I was thankful they came with a large ladder to get up there. Everything was completed so efficiently between the three of them, they located the correct outlet on the roof, and then they cleaned out the dryer vent removing a large amount of built up debris which could have been a big fire hazard. When they were finished, everything was clean and no sign of any dust! Payment was easy, I used Venmo to pay. After they left I immediately threw the clothes that were laying around air drying into the dryer. As the dryer was going maybe it's just in my head, but I felt that the dryer actually sounds like it's working more efficiently, LOL. When the cycle ended, I took out the clothes and it's amazing, they're actually dry. Finally after all these months I finally have dry clothes! Why did I wait so long? My clothes dryer is a newer model with a sensitive lint monitor and there is also a venting issue which necessitates I prevent a buildup of lint to prevent a fire. My previous vent cleaner had moved away and I needed to find a new company. Dryer Vents Express answered my first call and was able to get to me the next day. I was surprised to see a team of 3 as my previous person worked alone. Together they were able to clean my dryer, behind the dryer, and the upper, middle and lower vents. (Back story: It seems that when my house was constructed the plumber did one vent straight down, then a level part and then another vent to the ground floor. This not only makes it more difficult to clean but dryer lint settles in the center, flat section and is more difficult to remove.) They did an excellent job, were quick, pleasant, saw a repair that needed to be completed, and cleaned up after their work. It's been a stressful week, but Carlos saved my solar project. There's basically one place the battery can go on my wall and code dictates there can't be any vents within 3 feet of it. Dryer was taking over 2 hours to dry after 10 years so i finally decided to but the bullet and get the dryer vent cleared. Dryer vents express was able to come at 5p-7p from a 1p call and quoted a flat fee compared to other companies that had a low starting rate but charged by the foot. I had a 20' vent run so the flat rate helped me. When the 2 workers arrived i showed them the dryer vent inlet and outlet and they went to work right away from both ends of the dryer vent. In all they removed pounds of lint, including a solid 4x6x6 inch block of compressed lint. They then vacuumed the interior of the dryer's filter housing and removed dozens of objects (coins, hair clips, etc.) from the dryer itself.
