Literally the best Newk's I have ever been to. They blow Panera and ABC out of the park!!!! Love this place.

First visit was very pleasant even though the place was packed. We ordered salads and had them at the table right after we got our drinks! I will definitely be back to try their other items as the prices seem pretty reasonably and there's a lot to choose from. A parking tip for you cranky pants: Park in the underground Publix deck and walk up the stairs. You come right out at Newk's and your car stays cool. read more

I ordered my food, 2 pizza's, 1 sandwich, 2 bowls of soup and 1 salad, my sister ordered her food, 1pizza and 1 salad, right behind my order. She mistakenly ordered the wrong salad to which the cashier stated she would go tell the kitchen and correct it there. We waited about 15 minutes and my dinner came out. At the 30 min mark we asked the cashier about my sister's meal and she went to check on it. A manager-like person came out and asked us what was missing and we said the whole check. She said she would look, came back and said sorry that we would have to wait because there were to-go orders. At this time it had been a solid 30 minutes. I again asked to speak to management because I am now sure they have neglected to make the order because they are breaking down the salad station. A different manager-like person came out and said "what type of cake would you like?" We did not want cake as some of us can't have it! Frustrating, that they think that this would appease me! All-in-all the manager-like people neglected to admit they missed the order and now I'm leaving this review of a restaurant I will NEVER grace the doors of again. The food was EH at best! read more

This is a much better option than fast food but still served quickly. I ordered a shrimp po' boy sandwich. I was expecting fried shrimp but they were the detailed boiled variety with simple garnishment. The sandwich was fine, but nothing special. The table of pickles, roasted garlic, and peppers were a nice touch. read more

Stopped to get take out. Unfriendly male cashier with dreadlocs. No problem with the locs because i have some myself. I am just describing him. My husband asked for potato soup with no bacon on it. He doesn't eat pork. I said it might have bacon cooked in it right? Looking right at the cashier. He just stared at me deadfaced. So i assumed it didn't have a bacon cooked in it. When the food came the young lady told us that bacon is cooked in the soup. She wanted us to know cuz we asked for none on top. We really appreciated her for that. I have to say I was a little disappointed today. Not for the meal or even for the employee who took my order but mainly about management. I have been coming to this location for a while now, almost like a tradition for a Monday. I go get a haircut at 18/8, which is GREAT men's salon btw!! Then I would enjoy a meal here. Well today is different because when I asked to used their wifi (as I've always done), I'm told there isn't any wifi available, when I explained to management that I've continuously used it before and in fact someone in management gave me the user name and password I'm then told they shouldn't have and that manager was in training during that time. As a business owner myself, I could never justify using this as an excuse and in fact would gladly provide my devoted customer what they need to have a great experience at my establishment so they could keep coming back. But instead, I get excuses and a cold shoulder. Therefore I cancelled my order and obvious to say I will not be returning to this location. We don't spend our hard earn money just for a good meal but for the experience. Sadly to say, this isn't expressed, trained on or promoted here. I've been to Newk's twice and while it's not on the top of my list of places to go eat, both times it's been a great, quick lunch for me when I'm pressed for time but don't want to rot my gut with fast food. Both times I got the large Caesar salad and both times the quality was really good. The lettuce was nice and fresh and it had just the right amount of dressing. Came here for the first time last Saturday to grab lunch with a friend. When you enter there is a giant board with the menu. There's a good selection of choices between pizzas, salads, sandwiches, soups, and a couple mac and cheese options. I was really feeling mac and cheese that day, so that's what I went with. I got the 5 cheese mac and cheese. Their side options are cole slaw, fruit, chips and pasta salad (pasta with a side a pasta? I love carbs, but that's too much for me :-) ). I went with the fruit. My friend got the steak sandwich and a side order of the 6 cheese mac and cheese with bacon. The food was inexpensive and came out fairly quickly. My entrée size mac and cheese didn't seem too much bigger than my friend's side order, and the fruit cup was *tiny*. But as I said, it's not a pricey place, so if you're really hungry you may want to get a little more. All of our food tasted great, though! The environment is casual but nice. They bring your food to you and bus your tables. Quick, delicious, non-expensive, non-greasy food in a nice clean environment - I'd say it's a win! Newk's is a go to staple in my book. The Caesar salad, the pimento cheese sandwich, the soups. You really can't go wrong!

Pictures can be deceiving and that's how I would describe the food at this place. We paid $30 for a small sandwich and salad which lacked flavor. Service was good and the interior decor/seating is nice. However, the food was just not good for what we paid. There are too many other restaurants in the area that are way better. read more

I always love whatever I get a Newks and I really think you get a lot of bang for your buck with the amount of food they give you. My favorite sandwich is the grilled chicken sandwich. It comes with bacon, cheese, mayo, lettuce, tomato, honey mustard, and olive oil. So much flavor packed into this incredible sandwich. I also love the bread the sandwiches are served on here! Newk's is great! All of their food is delicious, but I absolutely love the Royal sandwich! I get it with the smoked ham and oven-roasted turkey, genoa salami, swiss cheese, romaine lettuce, tomato, and spicy Creole mustard. First visit to this concept ever. The menu is pretty straightforward with the usual fast casual offerings of savory salads, sandwiches and a full line of pizzas. They took our order quickly and our food was up within 8 minutes. The staff was friendly and efficient. I ordered catering from Newks for my birthday party earlier this year. The crowd loved it. They raved about the chicken salad sandwiches. That was the crowd favorite. I had the pleasure of getting the whole history of Newk's from a buddy from Monroe, LA who went to Ole Miss. This sandwich shop is legit. There is a large menu that has a lot of various options. I went with the Steak And Blue Sandwich and it did not disappoint. They have lots of options for take out goodies such as roasted garlic, sauces and Parmesan cheese. This place easily rivals and crushes chain establishments like Panera and Corner Bakery. It's a similar concept -- soups, salad, sandwiches but with pizza. The food is fresh, made to order. My favorite item is the spicy shrimp pizza. It has a thin, crispy crust with spicy peppers, onions, garlic, olive oil, and of course shrimp that's slightly charred. I never thought I'd love shrimp on pizza! The prices are reasonable. The portion sizes are generous. The service is fast and friendly. The only draw back is parking but that is the case with any of the establishments inside of Town of Brookhaven. My suggestion is to pass Newk's and park around the corner near the Marshall's. Parking in the Publix lot is just as congested and crazy. read more

Sorry but just not a fan. I've eaten at Newk's probably 10 times. Though I do think they have very nice employees who are helpful and do find the restaurant clean(hence 2 stars), the food is inconsistent and just not that good. I've tried the salads and sandwiches. Nothing's wow and there aren't many/any healthy options (light salad dressing, broth based soups, etc.). Also the kids portions are minuscule!!! Seriously, kids mac and cheese dinner is about 4 tablespoons of food! Kind of felt ripped off. read more

Don't get me wrong. Overall, this place is good...it's clean, has pleasant staff and the salads and sandwiches are tasty. Don't, however, order a custom pizza. I tried twice to order a veggie pizza with tomato sauce and no cheese (vegan). On these two occasions, they messed it up a total of four times, never getting it right, always adding cheese and/or pesto. Update on my previous review: This week I tried the Ahi Tuna Sandwich. I have really enjoyed seared Ahi Tuna at a good seafood restaurant, but I hate raw fish. I was told it would be medium rare but not raw. When I received it, it looked to be very nearly raw. The kitchen ran the tuna through the oven again and it did come out medium rare, so at least I could eat it, but it was frankly almost flavorless. This is not the way to do Ahi Tuna. If it is to be served at all, it should be cooked properly (seasoned and grilled- or pan-seared rather than baked) - especially since it is the most expensive item on the menu. On the plus side, the Caesar Salad was fresh and delicious as always. My mother had the Chicken Salad Sandwich, and it was also fresh and delicious. Take away lesson for me: Don't expect good Ahi Tuna in a restaurant that doesn't specialize in fish. read more
