I came in for lunch this Saturday and let me tell you about Jamey! This gentleman was the most kind and attentive! I had ordered a pepperoni pizza and when it came to our table there was no pepperoni really. Not a big issue for me no biggie, but Jamey however... He was more appalled by the lack of pepperoni than I was. He offered to have it remade, it came out with a superb amount of pepperoni and he checked back multiple times to make sure everything was okay. Some friends and I came in for lunch today and it was a pretty poor experience. My order was placed at 12:16, I did not receive my food until 12:55.. I'd already gone up and asked for my order to be switched from dine in to take out because I had somewhere to be and wasn't expecting lunch to take almost 45 min for me to receive my meal. Upon arriving to my destination I opened my bag to find my sandwich bare and extremely poorly packaged. I visited the Newt's in Fayetteville, Arkansas today. It was such a pleasant experience. A gentleman greeted us when we walked in and asked if this was our first time. We told him "yes" so he explained the menu options . We ordered and he brought the food to us and told us if we need anything to let him know. This same man also bussed all the tables while bringing everybody's food to them. This was lunchtime on a Saturday. The food was great- I had the portabella mushroom sandwich. The bread was so fresh tasting. I enjoyed the meal but the gentleman made my day with his attention and cheerfulness. This was the best service I have ever had. read more

I had a veggie pizza. Tasted good but kinda small (see photo). It hit the spot. When I paid for the pizza it was $8-something and I gave him a $10 bill but the cash register said "You Paid $20" - I thought it was odd... (I did not ask for a receipt) They only bring 1 napkin so luckily by the bathroom area there is a stack of napkins - kind of annoying to have to get up for them though. This establishment has a HIGH ratio of teenagers enjoying time hanging out on a Friday evening.... Soup was sub- par with little to no freshness. Tasted like something mass produced out of scan. Ugh Newk's. I really like this place but I think their habits are terrible u set regular circumstances and even more so for COVID. They have a plastic ice cooler with wheels behind the register. When you order a drink the lady at the counter who just took my money takes my cup puts her hand in the cooler to scoop the ice. This would be terrible hygiene under normal circumstances. Newk's is the culinary equivalent of the little girl with the little curl right in the middle of her forehead - when it is good, it is very very good, but when it is bad, it is horrid. So the good: When the salads are made the way they're supposed to be made, the flavor combos are really good and the portions are large. I'm a low-carber, and I can always a salad to eat that meets my diet. I've heard great things about the mac and cheese from those who have tried it. The atmosphere is about what you'd expect for a sit-down chain restaurant - colorful but not earth shattering. They keep the place nice and clean. It's quick. The drink cups are take-home, so you get a souvenir. Anyway, my fiance really really likes Newk's and that's why I keep going. The bad: They've gotten my order wrong three times - once they gave me the wrong salad, and twice they've put almost no toppings on my salad. Like, to the point where I'm having to fish through lettuce to see if the toppings were buried underneath some lettuce. I know restaurants have bad days, and they may even have a few bad days, but getting skimped on food multiple times has left me not wanting to go back. Two of these times were carryout orders and I did not realize until I was home. I cannot stress enough - check. Your. Order. And if someone else is picking it up for you - have them check. Your. Order. I would never order delivery from here (which is available now) for fear that my order would be wrong. read more

This was the first time I had been here but my friends loves it so I thought I would give it a go. While it can be a little pricey, you definitely get what you pay for. The sandwich and loaded potato soup was delicious. They have a thing called the round table where you can get croutons, pickles, little breadsticks, napkins and of course seasonings and some sauce. Decided to try some place new while I waited for Discount Tire to install new tires and stumbled upon Newk's. It's a good lunch place for salads, sandwiches, and soup, but it looks like they also have pizza options. I had the half chicken salad and soup. The chicken salad was pretty darn good. Even through it has grapes, it's not terribly sweet, which is a good thing. The differentiating part of the sandwich was the French bread, toasted to PERFECTION and lightly buttered. Not too tough, not to crusty, just perfect. I think I'm going to pick up a small tub of chicken salad to go, since you can do that! 4 stars because it's good but nothing incredibly special.
