Very new restaurant that prides itself on being a fast-casual restaurant with local and fresh ingredients. However, we had to wait an hour for our food to come out to us, which really was amazing considering we had ordered three pizzas and two salads. One of our pizzas was never even delivered, as the dough was too frozen to prepare. I felt that this could have been communicated to us before we waited for an hour. We were refunded the price of that meal and split the other four meals amongst each other. The food itself was not nearly as good as we had hoped, and was not up to the standard they had advertised and priced their product at. I love Newks, but this location is the worst! Three times now they have messed up our order, which just had one modification for a different salad dressing, or forgotten part of our order completely. This was after waiting 15-20 minutes for a salad with only one or two other tables in the restaurant, both of which were already eating. I don't understand why they have 6-8 people on the clock who are just rolling silverware, or doing obvious and disruptive closing duties 2+ hours before closing! The couple of times we've been, there has only been one staff actually preparing food. It's frustrating to have to take an entire to-go order out of the bag and check everything down to the dressing and toppings because it's not correct. As I said, we've had a great experience at the other Atlanta area locations, but don't waste time or money at this one. read more

Nice place, nice people, very good food and menu. Best to eat it there though because their take out is a NIGHTMARE!!!! Last 3 times it was wrong and handling phone calls from people at home with the wrong food or missing food is most certainly not where they shine. I love this place! I have dined here numerous times but this is my first time leaving a review. Their soups are pizza are great (very flavorful) but my favorite item hands-down is the Caesar salad with chicken. That dressing... I don't know who makes or how, but it's AMAZING. I go here 3-4 times a week for lunch. The service is usually very very good and the food is consistent. I've only had 2 occasions when things weren't quite right, but if you notify management they will correct it right away. I always get the same thing - simply salad with Ginger wasabi dressing- but everything is really good. The newks favorite salad is my favorite (no pun intended) but it's packed full of calories so it's not something i would eat every day. Terrible customer service. I ordered through door dash, waited an hour and a half for a measly little sandwich only for it to be wrong. I am allergic to mayonnaise and specified I couldn't have it, and sure enough the sandwich was covered in it. I'd like to preface this by stating I almost never post negative reviews. I feel that every place has an "off day" now and then, and typically give places a few chances unless the visit was absolutely abysmal. I have been to this Newk's location before and it was good. I usually love the 1/2 Caesar salad (the homemade croutons have been awesome!) with a side of the pimiento bacon Mac and cheese. My last couple visits, however, have been lacking. My visit today was especially poor, and I will think twice before selecting this particular Newk's again. -Slow, unfriendly, unknowledgeable cashiers. No smiles or any attempt to be friendly. I had to repeat my order three times, and she also told me that it wasn't possible to get a 1/2 Caesar and a side of Mac and cheese. Funny, since that's what I almost always order, and I saw that it was rung up on the register before. She eventually got it right, but it took much longer than it should have. I had intended to pay part of the total in cash and the rest on a card, but my confidence in her ability to process that was so low that I grudgingly put the entire amount on the card just to avoid the inevitable hassle. I asked for a large cup of ice water, and she unfeelingly said that was not possible without purchasing a fountain drink. By the time the interaction was complete, my usually patient kiddos were antsy from standing there so long. -Slow kitchen, sub par food. I asked for light dressing on my Caesar (SAW the cashier enter it on the receipt) but received a salad absolutely swimming in dressing. The usually delicious croutons were stale and chewy. The Mac and cheese I've gotten there before has always been baked in the small metal dishes so that the bacon and cheese on top gets deliciously crispy, especially around the edges. Today it was slopped into plastic cups, clearly microwaved, not baked, with completely unmelted cheese and cold, fatty bacon pieces on top. Had to ask for my kids' milks that we ordered. -Checked out staff. There was absolutely ZERO energy or friendliness shown by the staff with whom we interacted. One male cashier was very obviously watching videos on his phone at the counter. The back half of the restaurant was very warm (I was sweating!), and when some elderly guests asked that same employee if there was a way to adjust the temperature, he simply said "nobody knows how" and walked away. No sincere apology, no invitation to help them to a table in a different area. Just very checked out and there were no attempts to build rapport or make guests feel like their business was valued. Today's experience, coupled with the very limited kids menu (literally everything is cheese, cheese, and more cheese... zero vegetable options) has ensured that I will be visiting one of the other many restaurants of its kind in the area in the future. read more

My visit was very pleasant. The restaurant was nice and clean and very carefully placed low lighting. The employees were nice and helpful. Very upscale type of Deli. My visit to Newk's make two times I have visited there - first and last. The people were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was clean and appealing. The sandwiches we ordered were terrible. The Newt's Q was dried up chicken and an indistinguishable mess of sauces and cheese. Couldn't find the bacon that was supposed to be there. The bread, however, was fresh. The chicken salad sandwich was very unhealthy. It was loaded with mayo like they are trying to hide something. The side coleslaw was also a soggy mess. The side pasta salad was tasteless. Can't go wrong with Newks! This location has been opened about 6 months. I finally got a chance to stop in. The location is nice especially for shopping at the Forum. I sat outside and the nice breeze made for a wonderful dining experience. I ordered the Cobb Salad with a cup of Broccoli & Cheddar Soup. It didn't disappoint. I did notice napkins on the floor by the tea/soda station. That area could've been kept a little neater. They do offer mimosas along with your standard tea and carbonate beverages. There were some employees (2) that were on break while I was sitting on the patio. They were very loud and yelling at other staff members as they were leaving "ghetto"! They even discussed one staff member parking in customer parking & yelled you shouldn't be parking there..the staff member said "don't call me out & pulled off in her white car....smh. They both passed by my table and neither offered to clear away my bowls or asked if I needed anything...didn't even say hi!! They finally left at 4:00 PM and it was peaceful again. I stopped by for lunch today. I ordered the Broccoli and cheese soup with a Caesar salad. The soup was super flavorful, creamy and cheesy. The Caesar salad was good as well. They have some of the best dressing and croutons, they don't have the box taste like most restaurants. Definitely a great place to get fresh, good food. read more

I had given this place 5 stars when they started... Great service... Great food. However the last few times i have gone service is horrible... Extremly slow... Food has gone fron great to ok... Soups are cold.. And talking about soup .. Their selection is horrible and to top it all off they called it a "new soup" to have a chicken chilli with noodles... wTF?! That was that you ran out of the chilli and to extend it you mixed it in with chicken noodle!!! And when i was shown the chicken noodle... It was Water!!!! Chicken broth.... This used... Key word USED to be one of my favorite places to eat... I used to come in weekly... Well... No more. Especially after seeing the employee that prepares the salad... Pass the gloves that she used to prepare mine thru the entire store... Eat with them... Go outside and then.... Was she going to prepare a new one without changing them?! Who knows... First off the cashier is not that friendly and I had to wait for 10 min until a worker would finally clean off a table. I'm talking every table had dishes piled up and not wiped down. I am a big fan of nekws food but was extremely disappointed in this location's performance today. I will never rely on them again. I cater about 2-5 lunches per week for entire offices of customers. After placing my order in advance and providing all delivery instructions, multiple phone numbers, and my credit card info for a catering order...they did not show up. Upon calling and speaking with the head manager over there...he could not have cared less about their poor performance, my customers that were without lunch and offered to do NOTHING to resolve my issue or keep my business. This place is absolutely disgusting, I went in with my daughter and she had the Newks Favorite something she always gets and I got the Italian sandwich as we were chatting I realized my daughter looking mortified at her food there was a little BUG in her salad !!!!! I will NEVER be eating here again if I could give this place no stars I would! I received a refund and they had the nerves to ask me if I wanted something else for my daughter! Well traveling and hungry looking for something healthy so I check this out. Looks nice, ordered the seared tuna salad. The nice lady at the register let me know it would be raw, I was good with that. When I got it the tuna was cooked throughout and obviously had been cooked for a long time and stored in the refrigerator. It was dry too. I took a couple bites and waited for the server to come back to check on things......... I waited for 30 min nobody came. I left and will not be back. Wish the best for the place but it was empty. Miserable experience. I ordered a "combo" which consists of a 3 inch sandwich, and a sub par bowl of soup. Mind you, they sold it to me as a sandwich and soup combo, to which I would believe I would receive a normal sized sandwich, 5 inches or more (typical, but still small). When I brought it up with management that the meal was not really what I thought I ordered, the manager had nothing kind to say or any condolences to offer, let alone an offer to exchange my meal for what I thought I was ordering. As I left, the woman who took my order asked how my meal was. When I said it was much too small and not what I thought I was ordering, resulting in me still being hungry, she smirked and gave a mean toned "well that is what you ordered". I then proceeded to write a poor review to their customer experience website. From that review, I received a call. On the call with whatever manager I was speaking with, his first and only point of concern was the fact that I said the lady who took my order was dumb. I'm sorry, but she was dumb. The fact that this company cares more about that comment (not even very mean in my opinion, but more honest), than an unsatisfied customer, speaks volumes to their integrity as an organization.
