Most recent experience involved a suspected transmission issue and turned out to be a fuel line / filter issue. Troy inspected the car and also found my rear brakes were dangerously thin. The brakes were fixed same day. Troy referred the fuel line issue to a nearby shop that handled Nissan cars. The car was repaired in less than a day and is now getting gas mileage (26 and up) that I haven't seen in 4 years. Honest, reliable and doesn't try to sell unnecessary services. The first time I came in I had a coolant leak and spark plug problem With engine overheating. so I took it in to get a diagnostic. the spark plugs were done correctly but the mechanic decided to make a makeshift clamp to fuse the coolant leak..... seemed confident that it was going to fix the problem. Still was leaking coolant And overheating. Took it back because the engine was overheating still and I was still losing coolant. Told me that I needed a whole new radiator and that was the problem. so after spending 1300 dollars on a new radiator The problem kept persisting. after this second job, I had engine plugs that weren't re connected after the job and my car was losing power on the freeway...... took at back to have them plug it back in. my engine cover was also left in the shop And not put back on. The mechanic told me that he did the work on it but when I complained about doing a half job and not properly completing the job he said a different mechanic was the one who didn't do it right. No biggie. they plugged it back and it worked fine. month or two go by, Still leaking coolant and overheating. took it to the dealership because I was over going back and forth with this shop. Dealership tells me the fan right in front of the radiator had been melted off and my car had been overheating which led to serious engine damage and a head gasket repair. I can no longer drive this car. After I spent almost 2k dollars at this repair shop. only 109k miles on it. I genuinely believe this mechanic shop misdiagnosed my car and did a half ass job on my vehicle. Extremely sad because everyone seemed friendly and willing. if you want to have someone take pride in your vehicle and find the root of the issue do not take it here. Unlucky ....

This shop can do it all from basic classic car repairs, rear ends and diffs to all out race cars, street to track they have a wide range of awesome stuff in the shop and coming and going. The knowledge they have and ability to problem solve is amazing, Patience and understanding is what Bry and Current auto is great at, on top of repairs and modifying cars.We brought them a project truck that was just going to be some repairs for road worthiness and a Holley EFI swap, oh did this turn into a rabbit hole, none of which is the shops fault. We had some suspension work done at a shop nearby and Bryant and his team were very happy to coordinate the work they were doing with the other shop. They even helped move it across the street to the other shop. That's unheard of today. We spent a considerable amount of time trying to figure out issues that came up due to the other shops' work. We found out that the 260k engine was quite lacking in compression and needed replacement or rebuilding. We decided to rebuild it and snuck in some mods to get a little more performance and help with today's needs ( ssh don't tell my wife). I take full responsibility for the next part. I had done some research before sending Bry the truck and bought a Holley 4 barrel and intake manifold to go with the engine, turns out that combo sucked and was too much for the 250 I6 engine. I was led astray by my research and opinions of others. We fought and fought with tuning issues for a crazy long time. We sold the 4 barrel and switched to a 2 barrel Holley and still had issues, we then swapped to another intake manifold and things got better. Bryant was calm and patient during all this and went way above and beyond dealing with these issues. During all of this process we have added things to do and improve and mostly listened to his recommendations on what steps to take next. While we have our super rusty family truck back and are finally excited to be able to drive it and enjoy a little bit of it we are extremely grateful for Bry and the shop. I 100% recommend Current Auto Performance to anyone and everyone, just dont be like us and suck all the shops time up in the rabbit holes. Listen and follow guidance of those who know.

Their prices are more than fair. I had a Holly Sniper EFI, Tremec TKX 5 speed, rear axle rebuild, driveshaft components, and a new fuel tank installed. I googled the prices compared to the invoice and theirs was the same as online and even cheaper on some items. There are a lot of shady shops out there. I'm telling you- this is not one of them. I'll be bringing it back for a supercharger and some other upgrades/all routine maintenance in the future.
