I would rarely talk to a rep who knocks on my door, especially when I previously had another roofing company that I was satisfied with the last time we experienced a bad hailstorm. I am not surprised the roofing reps circulate storm-damaged neighborhoods. It's no different than trial attorneys reaching out to accident victims. It's a marketing practice. The former chases storms, whereas the latter chases ambulances. Nothing out of the ordinary there. Then I met Jody, a new rep they recently hired. Since I normally don't even talk to door-to-door reps, I usually politely dismiss them without appearing too grumpy. However, he convinced me to at least consider the possibility of scheduling an appointment because part of the inspection included looking for collateral damage. Ryan, the owner, came out and impressed me with his knowledgeable and professional approach. He showed me how my previous roofer made some shortcuts by not completely removing the underlayment. He also found a damaged chimney, a broken window, and screens, and two garage doors. After researching some of the reviews, and seeing that they're local, I contracted with this company, who in turn subcontracted the chimney rebuild, and garage doors. Ryan asked for no money up front when I signed the contract. It went exactly as Ryan said it would; we would settle up when the work was done. We settled today as the Schilling Overhead Doors installed the new doors (I paid extra for the upgraded doors and new motors, which was totally worth it). He said I made it easy because I provided all of the estimates, including supplementals when my adjuster made it available. He worked with my adjuster to document the additional damage, so that my adjuster would approve the supplemental. They installed the roof in less than one day. They run like a well-oiled machine and choose only the best tradesmen as their subcontractors. I highly recommend this company and will do business with them as the need arises.

My insurance claimed the roof and said it was hail damaged. They gave an estimate of what they would pay. Once Lone Star Roofing looked at the claim, they notice some items missing from the claim. They worked with my insurance to get those items paid for. Which I am very grateful! That is why I have insurance and I am glad I had someone in my corner. And in dropping the heavy bundles of shingles on the roof I think they damaged them in the process. Several of the shingles installed had damage on the leading edges. When the old roof was being taken off a strip of metal fell down and hit my window. Fortunately it did not break it. In the process of removing the old roof the workers bent the metal flashing on my rain gutter on one of the inside corners. Several nails on the roof vent were not caulked. They gouged a hole in the side of my porch to install a portion of the roof. I had a strip of rain diverter at the edge of the roof where the a/c unit is that was not replaced and put back. I was told that no metal flashing was going to be used in the valley of the roof and after installation there is metal flashing exposed. They broke a branch on a bush in the front. There were several pink wrappers from the shingles left behind and twelve nails (and counting) I have picked up thus far. They left an oil stain in the driveway. Communication was non existent. And a day later is when they wanted to send a manager to do a walk through. I am still able to get up on the roof to find out what kind of poor workmanship was done. I can't imagine what other customers miss when they are not in a position to inspect their own roofs. One thing is true that the salesman told me when he initially came out. You never know what kind of work was done until years later when there is failure. I won't really know the quality of their workmanship until years later. With what is visible to me in their installation I wish I had gone with another company.

He took his time with the inspection and took a lot of pictures. When he was through, he told me that he could not make the repairs and explained to me what the builder had done incorrectly. I appreciate his advice, his honesty and the patience he displayed with my continuing to text him with all my questions. Thank you Gary for answering my questions with speed and relieving some of the stress I was feeling from having issues with a home that is only three years old. Not even the insurance company was involved until later. I was being overly cautious and got a number of bids. Decided to take off my gutters as a major pain trying to get anyone to clean them and I'm too old for that stuff. Probably asked a thousand questions and was a real pest. They had done a friends house with no problems there. They were not the highest. They were not the lowest. They were open to me exploring options and what ifs. So signed a contract and San Antonio had almost constant rain so I had quite a wait. Which made me think of even more questions. But finally got a couple of rain free days during the week. They tore off and repaired one day and fashioned new heavier shingles the next. Had a lot of concealed damage on the roof deck. They had photos of the area needing replacement. I had decided to go with a higher rated shingle a 3 for hail and a 130 mile wind in hopes of an extra discount on my insurance. Also peace of mind. Roof repairs are not fun. Changed back to turbines since I've had racoons in my attic via vents before. They even put extra screening on my turbines for my peace of mind. Also got the shingles from the coast as that color and style aren't usually used here. I was like a chicken with its head cut off and they were both patient and helpful throughout. It looks great! No leaks, no wildlife sounds, hopefully cooler attic.

Johnny and Brandy have a professional, honest and reliable business which is managed in a very homeowner friendly manner. We were again kept informed of what was going to be done, how it was to done and when. All work was completed in a seamless manner. The work crews were very responsible as all plants and other items near the home were carefully covered while the job was being completed. The cleaningcrew did an excellent job and all looked back in place. Again, the expert office personnel took care of any and all insurance paperwork. A crew of at least 8 people showed up at 8 am and they were done by 6:30 PM! They did the entire roofing job in one day including the pick up and delivery of the new shingles, the removal of the old shingles and the installation of my new beautiful roof! They were also able to install a new solar vent. They did a great job on cleanup. I'm getting the rest of my repairs done right now! His painting crew with Nino at the helm are also doing an exceptional job!
