I tried the creme de menthe, which was excellent - I'm a big fan of mint. The dude behind the counter, Sammy, was super friendly, humble, and genuinely seemed like a nice guy. However, our experience turned sour shortly after entering the store. The cashier, in the middle of helping another customer, reprimanded my husband for throwing away an empty cup in their trash can. Her facial expression and tone of voice was obviously upset and stern, as if we brought in a ton of trash to put in her bin. That experience alone made us feel unwelcomed and we left immediately. Like lady, who the hell hurt you so badly that you're upset at an empty cup thrown in the trash. This review was left moreso to let management know of their employees level of customer service. And well, if she was management, then that is just a shame to treat customers that way.

It was bright, charming, friendly and they have a huge selection. A lot of candy is sold by the pound, so my kid had fun filling a little basket with all kinds of things to try. I've learned my new favorite salt water taffy flavor is chicken and waffles. I also had the most delicious handcrafted truffle!! They had a lot of nostalgic treats and that was fun to show my kid. We're looking forward to going back and I know where I'm getting special candy from for gift giving, too.

Things that caught my eye was the extensive selection of Middle Eastern spices, Asian snacks and drinks, and liquor. I didn't walk down the liquor aisle so I have no idea if it was Asian liquor. Overall, a great spot to grab affordable Asian snacks and cold drinks. It's located in the heart of Davis' downtown amongst the lively hubbub.
