I found this place on TikTok and decided to stop by. They have a pretty good size parking lot. I noticed they had tables and people were drinking coffee outside. The place is very open and clean. They were fully stocked. I loved that they had a ton of vegan and vegetarian options. There was a bakery with amazing pastries. They had a lot of coffee creamers. There is a lot of healthy pre made food. I pitched some pre made food and some drinks. They had the most amazing soaps. We got an oatmeal one that was amazing. There's a little kid play section in the front. It's a little pricey but the quality backs it up. This store is amazing I loved all the options with every item.

Always awesome. Great food. Great people. Chill vibes. And today, an actual rainbow appeared over their perpetual rainbow crosswalk.

Stopped in during our road trip in hopes of getting something from the hot food grab and go but the hot food was super limited (burritos) and upon reading the ingredients we were shocked to see seed oils in them. They had sandwiches but we didn't want those either because we're doing gluten/processed food free. We looked at their baked goods ingredients for fun and again were shocked to see even the cinnamon buns had high fructose corn syrup and other terrible ingredients. Really surprising and unusual for a co-op. Other than that the rest of the store is big and actually very nice. They have a great personal care product section and even have a cute greeting card section. I thought the coconut water selection was pretty limited though. Besides the hot food & baked goods area - it's definitely a nice store. I like that they display the current number of members they have. I was able to get an organic ataulfo mango which I peeled and ate in the car and it was absolutely delicious.

The deli now has a kiosk to order from. Type in your order and listen for them to call your name when your order is ready. I like the deli here as well as the hot bar. I don't go to the Davis Co-op often and i'm usually happy to see vegan items that I had not seen before. There was a Mango Black Bean Burrito wrapped in the hot foods section and I was surprised. I thought it was pretty good. I'm also surprised to find Coke (or was it Pepsi?) there.. singles in the cold beverage case. I thought high fructose was a no-no. Which makes me think-- Davis Co-op, what's going on? I'm not really a fan of their housemade foods. They have that packed and available in a cold case. There's sushi and coffee but really, deli and hot bar is my go-to and I might pick up some grocery items while I'm there. Indoor and outdoor seating.

If you're looking for central casting California hippie looney organic masky zones in the usually perfect weather of this region. Do come here. Best breads. Honeys. Meats. Beers. Organic vegetables. Soaps. Sit outside and commune man. Maybe that guy sitting out front really is Karl Marx. And that guy in dress with gas mask? Dunno. Fun. Clean. Safe. It's Cali casting. Friendly and warm. *This is especially a great stop after a Saturday morning at the famous Davis farmer's market in the park. Bring a cooler in the car. Eat eat eat.

Pretty cool grocery store. Fresh produce, bulk dry food, deli, sushi, etc. The store was very clean, and the aisles were stocked.

    Crispy mushroom sandwich

Crispy mushroom sandwich was so tasty. A bit salty but lots of flavor. It nice that they gave so many creative options. You can still get the classics too. I just miss the mermaid sushi from years ago from the husband and wife team. Smoothies can be a bit inconsistent, but real fruit has different sweet/tart levels, so I suppose that's expected.

7/2/2023: Oh--I'm having a sweet tooth attack~I must purchase organic Atulfo mangos and organic gummy worms!

This was actually my 2nd stop of the trip. The first stop was in Fairfield at Lowes. Another solid stop. As I was driving to Pedrick I made a mental note to myself of what I could get that was useful. I wrote on my list onions as they are only 89 cents for the yellow ones and a great deal. Also on the list were their pork tamales for a quick lunch when I got back. As it turns out when I got home my husband thought the same thing and stopped at McDonalds and got me a fish sandwich so I wan't wanting for food when I got home. Good thing we now have tamales ($2.89 each) for dinner. That's one less meal I have to plan. Lastly the most tasty and pricy purchase was going to be fresh strawberries. I got 3 baskets for $9.99 or close to that. I had some when I got home and they are more tasty than the ones in the grocery store. Though they aren't as good as the ones at the woodland Strawberry festival. Maybe I'm buying them off season. I was here July 15, 2026 around 12:30pm. On my way out I noticed the half price items on the cart out front. Lots of items were 99 cents or half off. You're not sure of the regular price so I wasn't sure if it would still be a good deal or not as could we actually eat that much. I picked up a bag of 2 heads/stalks of broccoli and a bag of zucchini, maybe 7 in the bag. I first took my haul to the car before checking out again. As it turns out the Broccoli and Zucchini were under $2 together. What a deal. The Tamales have gotten better. They have a new supplier and now there is less masa and more filling. They started off good, then they went really went down hill fast. They were all masa and little filling. It was really bad and we stopped buying them. We I saw they were packaged differently I inquired if they had a new supplier and the said yes, someone more local, I forgot exactly where they said they were from. We gave these new tamales a try and were happily surprised. The price over the years has really gone up in price too. The bathrooms are a great relief. This is a perfect stop for us on our way to and from the bay. They have 2 plumbed bathrooms and 2 outhouses. I had to use the outhouse last time as we got there before they opened and they were still cleaning the bathrooms after they opened. It wasn't that bad. The cleaning truck was just pulling away when I used the port o potty so I wasn't the first user after they cleaned it. I am just thankful that they have bathrooms and you don't have to make a purchase to use them. Tortillas are the best here. They are locally made and we love them. So much better than ones they sell at Raley's. Even though they are homemade they still last a while without going moldy. We've never had them mold on us. With the great deals on produce, great tortillas, and the bathroom situation we will continue to make this our stop. Between the two of us we are here nearly every week so we are always well stocked in produce and tortillas.

It was busy with lots of visitors from little kids to college students to grandparents. We went at Halloween time, so there was also a pumpkin patch. You pay at a cashier station at the front & receive a hand stamp. Children up to 12 years are $6, while 13 years+ are $4. However, for each paid child admission, an adult gets in for free. You then walk to the gate entrance of the barn area & listen to some instructions from staff about handling animals & not running, supervising younger children, etc. No food or drinks are allowed, so a lot of bottles were left in a hay bale area by the entry. We were able to get up close & personal with chicks, chickens, ducklings, ducks, geese, turkeys, goats, ponies, a calf, piglets, bunnies, a donkey, & kittens! Little one really enjoyed getting to groom the small goats with available brushes & combs. The goats just wandered the enclosed area. Most animals were in pens you could enter or reach into. There's some signage about the animals & protocols/warnings for how to interact with them, such as making sure to be sitting on hay bales while holding animals securely & closing gates. Staff went around to correct people who weren't following safety rules. You can spend as much time as you want seeing all the animals. At times we had to be patient waiting for a turn. Occasionally we saw the chicks being swapped out to get a rest from the petting. The animals were fairly docile & quiet. Apparently the animals are for sale. A hand washing station is off to the side of the barn.
