Was strolling around South St and saw this place and thought would pop in. It's not every day you find a hat store! Popped in and there was 1 employee and 1 other potential customer. I never heard the employee speak to the other person and my friend and I walked past the employee multiple times talking about and trying on various hats. He never said a single word to us. Had he actually made an effort to ask me if I was looking for anything specific and maybe offer suggestions about proper fit he likely would have gotten a sale. Went to this store to for the first time last weekend with my family. Sooo many hats to try! My father walked out with two hats and feathers to match, and I bought two classic beanies. So many to choose from it was hard to decide. My daughters had a great time trying on the "old school" ladies hat selection and glasses. The owner of the shop (I'm sorry I don't remember his name) was very very helpful with choosing the feathers for my dads hats and happy with us trying everything on and making sure it was the perfect look! I was surprised to see no reviews of this shop. I think this store is a hidden gem. I went there about two weeks ago and found just what I needed. Hats have always been a thing with me and I love them. This store has it all and I intend to return soon to buy another hat. The owner is kind and helpful. He makes suggestions occasionally, but is not pushy, doesn't try to talk you into anything. The hats are moderately priced but you can see in the details that this is quality merchandise and finely made. Be prepared to treat yourself to something you will feel great in and wear for years. There are a range of prices but my suggestion is to spend a few extra bucks and get the hat you want. Anyway, check this store out, you will have a great shopping experience and are likely to find a hat you will feel was made just for you. read more

Can't say enough about this gem of a haberdashery. I strolled in on a whim and walked out with the most amazing cap for my birthday -- and they even sewed a feather in it for me. The owner and other employee were super friendly and helpful. The prices were competitive and the selection was great. I"ll be back! read more
