Went there for dinner tonight and the service was horrible! It took a while to even place our order and then while our food came out fairly quickly when we asked the waitress about our drinks, she said that they got "slammed" and she hadn't been able to get them yet. She never came back to our table with our drinks so my husband ended up going up to the counter to get our drinks. This is my new favorite Pho spot in Tucson. Great broth and good selection of protein to fit any appetite.

The vegetarian pho was good, and came with nearly everything that it should: savory broth (on the mild side), basil, bean sprouts, jalapeño slices, lime wedge, hoisin and sriracha sauce, vegetables & tofu, chopped scallions. It also had raw onion as an option, but was missing cilantro. I asked for no mushrooms and was given a ton of mushrooms. The large order size is enough for three servings, in my opinion. Vegan fresh rolls and peanut sauce: peanut sauce was great, rolls had cilantro, tofu, noodles, lettuce, but could have used mint or basil plus carrots to punch up the flavor. Unfortunately the rolls weren't wrapped all the way around, so the contents wanted to spill out and that makes them trickier to eat. Vegetable Chow mein: asked for no mushrooms and got mushrooms anyway. We were both unimpressed by the "meh" flavor. Passionfruit boba was yummy with tapioca boba pearls cooked perfectly. Peach milk tea too mild. Aloe Vera jelly is slightly crunchy and refreshing. read more

Terrible service. I placed a To go order in the restaurant and left to take my kiddo to a playground a few blocks away to burn off some energy while waiting for the order. When I returned to pickup the order, they hadn't put it in. So when they input our order again, they did it incorrectly and forgot one of the soups. I didn't find out until I got home. I live15 minutes away, so understandably frustrating. This place has lost our business before it's begun. We love Vietnamese food and are new to town- but we will not be going back after the headache this has caused. Went here for the first time with some friends. We all really liked it. They serve flavored water when you dine in that was a pleasant treat. I had the bulgogi beef. It was plenty of food and so good. Will be back to have it again. And anytime you can get boba tea with your meal is a good day. read more

I ordered the XL Pho Tai Nam Eye round rare & beef flank noodle soup (bland broth) didn't taste like beef to me, with Xtra onions and cilantro (which they failed to give me), and was BIG enough for 2 meals and took some home to add my own ingredients. After trying many Vietnamese restaurant's in Tucson and not really happy with the taste and quality of food we decided to drive all the way to Mesa to find a place. The waitress called me an asshole because they made my order wrong and then I spent the next 15 minutes trying to get someone's attention to fix it but instead saw her instruct one of the other waitresses to deal with another table first. We had an excellent experience! My wife and I waited until the grand opening rush died down before trying Newton Pho - and we LOVE the food, service, and atmosphere. We started with the #6 Ha Cao dumplings, then tried the #23 Pho Ga chicken breast noodle soup XL size, and lastly, the #13 Com Suon Nuong Pork Chop Rice Plate. They were all delicious!! I was so excited to try the hot dumplings that I didn't let it cool down before chowing down - that I burned my mouth, BUT I would do it again LOL. Wonderful and helpful servers and the manager, Tri, was so friendly, he stopped by to check on us and tell us about his new restaurant. We are impressed. Plus the restaurant interior was well designed and perfect for a relaxing night out. We were hoping to eat just a little and just try a little of each entree but as usual we over ate. Very friendly and professional staff, clean big and good ambiance. Unfortunately the vegetable quality was horrible. On my Vermicelli bowl the cabbage/greens were already turning brown and you could taste it. On the Spring rolls the were also not fresh ingredients. I had great expectations when we walked into the restaurant. They took a few minutes to come out and seat us. The waitress told us where to sit. I did notice that after we sat down a few other couples came in and were told to sit anywhere . We ordered and the waitress brought me something I didn't order so I asked her and she said I had ordered that entree. I'm positive that I ordered something else so she brought me some oxtails to add to my pho. The entree I ordered had meatballs too and she just ignored me after that. The broth was pretty bland nothing like I had before. She brought a plate of a few items to add but still it was bland. I had to add quite a bit of chile to give it flavor. Needless to say we weren't happy with our entrees. We will never go there again. The inside of the restaurant is nice but there are other nice restaurants with very good Pho. I had my two kids and husband so we ordered Pho Tai (rare steak in beef broth), pho ga (noodle soup with chicken), and bun Bo hue. I wanted to taste each broth. They were all good. I wanted this place to be great. There is not a lot of Asian type food on the north side of town. I ordered my go to: Fresh rolls and a rare sliced pho The fresh rolls were very tasty and the peanut sauce was perfect. They were 6 bucks!! Pho- I ordered the small due to the price of 11 dollars and I was shocked by the size. There was hardy any broth. The meat was poor quality and contained my fatty parts. It was not rare either. It had been previously cooked. The broth was good but lacked depth. Look at the picture for the size. I used my hand and sun glasses for perspective. I thought it was a joke!! The service was weird. No greeting upon walking in, no greeting upon leaving. The server brought over the bill almost immediately after the food was brought over; it wasn't even close to closing time and the restaurant wasn't even at half capacity. One of the servers definitely didn't wash his hands after using the restroom. I was washing my own hands as I saw him go from the urinal, out the restroom door, and straight to grabbing bowls for serving food. To top everything off, the food was just okay. This is a newly opened Vietnamese restaurant along Cortaro, opened this month 1/2023. Service is good, we get taken cared of right away. Staff is really friendly. The place being new, is really clean, tables are not cramped, they are evenly spread out so you won't rub elbows with other diners. We ordered Pho, and I liked the broth, it's flavorful, and I like the fact that you have 3 choices for the serving size. I don't care much for the egg rolls, I think it's missing something. So i understand that this is a new place. We walked in and the place was Rocklin. Most of the seats were taken and everybody seemed to be satisfied. I asked a couple by the door, what they ordered and how was the food? . They said a 29 and it was good. Ok. We sat by the TV set in the rear. We were greeted immediately. We were offered drinks as we settled in. We got our menus and realized there were allot of choices to be made. I got the 29, one guy ordered the 16 and our 3rd guy is a vegetarian. He ordered the fried rice and tofu and Vegi roll. I also ordered the gui kun and the 6 egg rolls. We got our food pretty quick. Everything was really good. They are still going through some growing pains. They still don't have everything squared away but they are new. Things will happen. Nothing bad. We ended up getting way more food than we ordered, lol. Not a bad thing for us. They will figure it out. Our waitress was sweet and very nice. She was trying hard to keep us happy. We were good. The cook or manager brought out some of our food. I told him that everything was great. He seemed happy about that. Nervou that we were upset at the errors being made but Like i said, we were good. They're HORRIBLE!! I've only tried their drinks. The first time we ordered Boba tea and boba milk the boba was hard and nasty. Today I just got 3 glasses stuffed with ice, no boba because apparently you have to ask for boba in the boba tea. 3 milks, 2 with a splash of flavored syrup and one a glass of plain milk and ice!!! $20 for 3 ice milks!! And the girl had an attitude! I won't dare try their food since they can't even make drinks!! I wish I waited to tip her until I saw what I paid for! This review update is done 18 days after my initial 2 star review. What a difference 18 days makes. This place is now very good. The pho now has that deluxe complex taste that puts it above plain bouillon cube broth. It was really good. They're now giving you more broth and less noodles, which for me is good. Unlike other pho houses that put chunks of chicken in your Pho Ga, this place puts thinly sliced chicken in. That's a good distinguisher from other pho houses. We also had the fried Cha Gio roles. These were exactly what you would expect to get an any Vietnamese restaurant, but nothing particularly unique. The service was prompt and friendly, but I wasn't quite sure how much to tip. While they come and take your order and deliver your food and give you your check, no one really comes to check in on you during your meal. You have to hunt them down. I opted for a 15% tip under that scenario. I ordered iced tea and it came in a huge cup, which did not need a refill, but if it was a hot summer day, it would have. Relates to the lack of checking in during the meal. Overall, this is now a go to place! read more

Seat yourself here. Service here is slow and discombobulated. Slow to take our order but the food came quick and hot. Trying to get the bill and pay added on quite a bit of time. Service was great! They were really fast and friendly. The food was also stellar! I got the chicken pho and shrimp goi cuon. That peanut sauce was almost addictive I wanted to eat the whole bowl straight if I'm being honest. The spring-roll itself was very refreshing the vegetables and the snap of the texture hit well. The pho was a very large portion I wound up eating everything there and leaving extremely full but that's not a complaint. The ambiance was unique. We ordered two bowls only complaint I wish it was with two plates of topping (bean sprite, lime, jalapeño) and no just one to share kinda on smaller side to share. The flavor was there and meat was so tender and noddles were cooked well and broth well flavored. As a Vietnamese, I love to support local Vietnamese restaurants. I have visited Newton many times since it opened, and the food is not too bad. However, one day, my sisters and I waited for 10-15 mins (no customers at the restaurant at this time, and there were 3 servers), and they saw us and didn't even come over to greet us or pass out the menu. After waiting for 10 mins, we looked at them to give a sign that we wanted to order; all they did was push each other back and forth, saying, "Oh, I'm not gonna do it, you do it," until my sis was so mad she walked out. They finally came over and it was too late, we all decided to leave. The second time, the service was better, the girl last time recognized us, but this time it was not the service, it was the food. I have never taste something that salty in my life, I have to ask server for extra hot water and lime to fade the salty of Bun Bo Hue. This restaurant never has both food and service good at the same time. Either one of them has to mess up The third time's a charm, never coming back again. read more
