Now for the bad-the service!! First off I asked if I could get veggie egg rolls instead of pork in the beef vermicelli'. The cook said no; it's not it was mixed in and you can't remove them... fine, I ordered a side of veggie egg rolls. The waiter never came to check on us. I had to get to go boxes. He never acknowledged us. We waited so long that I could have dined and dashed and no one would have been the wiser. The place is nondescript but it was clean inside. It was possibly the worst grilled pork patty I've ever had. It was tough and lacked flavor. The pork chop was really good though. I like how it was pre-cut into segments so it was easier to consume. 4/5 - I love that they offered a pho + banh mi combo. The small was the perfect amount for my kids to split. We took the banh mi to-go to eat on the plane. -- Pho Combo: good flavor. 4.5/5 -- Banh Mi Thit Nuong (grilled pork): the meat was tender and flavorful. No overwhelming lemongrass taste that I don't like. 4.5/5 - Pork Paste Spring Roll (Nem Nuong): Unfortunately, this was the same meat I didn't like in my rice platter. I did like that it was simple. My dad treated me to his regular pho spot. It's a bright, delicious blend, not heavy and salty like other pho. The broth and the noodles are gluten free, and they put plenty of veggies in the pho if you request them. Friendly, quick service. I've been looking for a go-to pho spot in Tucson, and I think I just found my place! The extensive menu has every good Vietnamese dish you could crave, including pho dac biet, spring rolls, and bun bo hue. The pho comes in two sizes, medium or large. The medium is the perfect amount, but I think I could definitely down a large bowl with how good their pho is! The noodles are perfectly chewy and the dac biet has all the best cuts of meat, including my favorites: tendon and tripe! The meat for the soup quality has gone way down. It's now frozen and if you ask for more when you pay extra prepare to be let down. The waitress is awesome but the owner and cook used to be. Stopped here on the way home, what a great place. This is the best Pho I have had in years. The vegetarian Pho was delicious, wow! We also had fresh spring rolls with peanut sauce, thank you! It was a given. My friend had the pork fried Pho, which she also said was delicious. I will be back! Nothing special from the outside, but very cozy and nicely decorated inside. Food was good. Our service was terrible. We had a young Asian male waiter. We waited about an hour for our pho after ordering. I had ordered a beer, which he did not bring out until about ten minutes after bringing out the pho. We waited over hour before he checked on us again. He brought us soup containers to go but not the check. I flagged him down to ask for the check, and he told us to pay up front. We did not know we were supposed to pay up front, as we saw him bring a bill to the tables around us. It had been busy when we first got there, but after we received our pho it was pretty slow. Ordered through Uber Eats. Pad Thai with chicken was very good. Noodles were perfect tenderness, and chicken was clean. The Pho with rare beef, however, was the star of the show. Great portions of rich broth, noodles, thinly sliced beef, bean sprouts, basil, cilantro. and jalapenos with a little bit of onions and chopped scallions. Best pho I've found in Tucson, though their drinks could be a little better. They need to steal the Thai Iced Tea recipe from Karunas and the Taro Milk Tea recipe from Ni Hao. I've tried a few other things on the menu and they're good too, but the Pho Tai is my favorite. read more

I normally come in to eat food and it's always amazing. Ordered online and when I came to pick up my orders ONLY one meal was given because they ran out of the other meal. I waited a while to decide if I was going to put my review as I really don't like to say bad things on anyone but... I ended up getting food poisoning from their Pad Thai. It is because when I mentioned that, as I travel often, and in view of CoV, I had not visited since 2018, and compared the new décor, and made other comparative comments regarding my last visit (but politely not comparing pricing, which has increased by some 50% (from $9.76 to $14.99 for medium phở đặc biệt)), staff deliberately obfuscated that this is no longer Pho 88, but has changed hands. In short, they lied: they consciously concealed the change of ownership, saying, for example, that it was the "owner" (not the "new owner") who had updated the décor. Finally, per my notes, on 3/21/2022, as I was preparing to each lunch, saw that it charges 3%, which is a scam and violates Visa's rules, https://usa.visa.com/dam/VCOM/download/merchants/surcharging-faq-by-merchants.pdf. Walked inside and spoke with a greeter and asked whether the restaurant surcharges debit cards, and she confirmed it. I told her that it violates Visa's rules, and she shrugged it off, blaming her boss. Told her I wouldn't eat there, even though the food was great, but she was unfazed. This restaurant has been around for a while, located in a small strip mall just south of Glenn on Campbell on the east side of the street. We thought we would try it since it changed ownership. We were seated with no problem and service was prompt. We both ordered the small combo of Bahn Mi and small pho. I had the traditional Bahn Mi and the rare beef pho. The pho was just enough with plenty of beef and noodles. The Bahn Mi was a full size sandwich. The bread was soft and crusty. The meats were good but I think it needed more seasoning and more fish paste on the sandwich, it was a little dry. The combo was $12 and it was plenty of food and a good choice if you can't choose between pho or a sandwich. read more

Me and my fiancé have loved near this place for years and never tried it, but we did today and it was so good! The atmosphere is welcoming and it's clean inside. I got the pho and bah mi special and each was delicious! The sandwich was by far my favorite. The bread is perfectly toasted and each ingredient tastes fresh! The only reason I didn't give 5 starts was because we did not get any refill on our waters while here; and my fiancé got a super spicy soup which made us run out of water fast!
