This is in regards to an air conditioner "tune up". The friendly technician arrived on time and inspected the air conditioner and outside blower and replaced the filter I already had on hand. Although they never checked the refrigerant with gauges they said it was okay. Then offered to give me a quote to" clean" a bit of grass from the outside compressor and offered to replace the motor capacitor for $325 saying it was slightly out of spec. I declined removed the lawn clippings myself the next day with a vacuum and air gun ( about 30 minutes) then purchased the exact capacitor for $18 in case the tech was right. In short, I felt they were trying to take advantage of people who didn't know any better. We will choose a different air conditioner company for our next service since I saw no value in their "tune up". read more

Their Customer Protection Plan has changed. I signed up for the Platinum Plan for 3 years at $485. The informational pamphlet noted that after 3 years renewal would be $25/year thereafter. The first renewal (year 4) they honored the $25. The second year they would not and wanted much more. Next plumbing unclogged my toilet sewer pipe 30 feet away. I couldn't snake that far or find the clean out cap. Justin used a camera got the blockage and found a sag in the pipe and was finished in a couple hours. Excellent service and super knowledgeable. Other plumbers had bad, fake or no ratings! Alec came to our house for a planned plumbing checkup. He checked our water heater and then all of the drains in our home to make sure they were working properly. He found one drain to be plugged. He found the plugged pipe and removed the plug. Then he worked to make sure that the fall of the drain pipe was sufficient to handle the water flow correctly to avoid future drain plugs. Mark P, came to our house because we had no hot water. He removed the panels on the hot water heater and discovered it had shorted out. The top of the hot water heater was also very rusty. My husband and I received excellent service from Max at NEXT Plumbing. He did a perfect replacement for our old kitchen faucet. He replaced it with a new stainless steel faucet and showed us a second leak under the sink that we hadn't spotted. He replaced the two hoses under the sink. Max cleaned the stains and everything looked like new again. As a free service, he checked all our faucets and shutoffs. I told him the laundry room faucet had become slow. Max took off the aerator and it was filled with sediment. He cleaned it, reinstalled it and the water was running freely again. Our hot water tank was installed by Next Plumbing just under 5 years ago. Thankfully the tank was still under warranty and Randy S. showed up right on time. He explained what was, and what wasn't, covered under the warranty and quickly got to work diagnosing the problem. The upper element was blown so Randy replaced it and the lower element which were under warranty. They called and told me it would be $88 to come out to give me a quote and if I accepted the quote they would take $78 of the $88 to the bill. To me that's a scam. Hot water heater wasn't working. Adam found the problem immediately. when he preached out to the manufacture's website, it stated part was no longer available. He then suggested we contact their customer service team, because the heater was less than 4 years old. We did and found out that the part needed had been changed to a newer version which was able to be used in all of the heating units. We bought the part on Amazon, received it the next day. Adam came back replaced the old part. My lateness in filing this complaint is due to making sure that all the damages in my house were completed. In January 2023 I called Next Plumbing to fix a leak in a toilet and since they were coming out I also wanted to change out a shower head and trim plate. Due to scheduling issues I needed a company to come out soon. When Next Plumbing came they tried to charge me a $168 diagnostic fee which was never discussed in the scheduling. I told the plumber no and he very nastily said I would be contacted by the office to pay the fee. The Operations Manager Nick called me and begged me to let them come out and do the job. I should have listened to my gut. Leak was fixed but issues with shower. Nick took off shower head and trim and discovered what I had would not work. Told me what to buy, I purchased sent him pictures and he ok'd. Sent another plumber out who said I needed more parts, broke something off in valve could not find replacement. Fine just put old parts back on was what I wanted at that point. Nick said he threw them out. Owner George offered to come cut out wall and replace valve at no cost to me. I had to agree as I had no use of shower. Jan 28 Nick and another plumber came, replaced, fixed hole. Took a shower at 7, by 9 my whole house was flooded. Called Next Plumbing screaming they needed to get here. Nick walked in door and immediately stated it was not their fault. I was not a very nice person then. They cut the pipe in 3 places and above one of the pipes was another connector that they apparently loosened when working. All they came with was a broken shop vac and a couple of towels. They would not leave me the faulty pieces, I even had to call the police on them. Next day a new plumber came out and stated a simple fix would have been to do a wet test which they did not do. He even showed me where the trim plate and shower head did not meet the wall. Yes Next Plumbing then sue me in Small Claims for their clean up that night in the amount of approximately $1200. I told him no way I would not pay him the extra money $177.00. After that the faucet got loose and the same plumber come out and said this is normal. I bought the Koehler faucet at Costco and I paid $189.00 plus tax . He wanted to charge me over $800.00 for a new faucet. I am 78 years old and he thought I would pay the extra amount. If they don't get back to me I will report them to the State of Florida Attorney General. I think they over charge senior citizens thinking they will pay whatever the bill is.
