Phenomenal how I tried this business back in February and almost 5 months later the owner Anita is still messaging me on yelp. I don't think I've ever met anybody. That was more nasty than this lady. She moved locations recently and then had the audacity to send this message after not only she forgot, who I was as a customer calling in almost a week after I was told, one pair of pants would be fixed. Then when I come in, she doesn't even acknowledge me or say hello, and then dismisses me and tells me she has plenty of customers and doesn't have to worry about just one and to go somewhere else if I don't like how she treats people. 3/9/2022 Update to business owner response. Nice try, as the tags were still on both the shirt and slacks purchased from Macy's when I brought them in. The shirt was a Guess shirt and the slacks were Kasper. I still have the recipe to prove it. She didn't want to explain anything to me. I don't need to lie. Just warning people of my experience and apparently a lot of people had similar experience. Be honest, do good work, and be nice. Terrible attitude terrible service. Rude. The owner of this store should fire herself. I dropped off clothes on a Monday (it's called next day alterations) and on Friday I came into get my clothes. Still not completed and half way done. When I simply asked what was going on she began screaming at me and told me she can't get anyone to work for her so she doesn't care. Threw my clothes and said she is not going to finish them, will not refund my money , and said "sue me" I'm tired of everyone wanting there stuff done so fast. Came to Ft. Lauderdale for my best friend's wedding in two days with a bridesmaids dress that didn't fit. Went straight to Next Day from the airport for help. The owner was delightful and made me feel confident that the dress would fit in time for the wedding. There were a few issues I had with this business alternating my dress. For starters, I paid ahead to get my dress altered, the woman that helped me was Very sweet and helpful. We talked about fixing the bottom of the dress along with messing around with the strings since they were kinda everywhere. I explained to her what I was looking for and she agreed that she could do it, I was told to return the next day but was no longer able to due to business meetings. I was suppose to return with my heels and try the dress on a, therefor they can adjust the bottom... I returned Monday and my sweet lady was off that day. Instead I was attended by the owner of the shop. I do not say greeted because it was not a nice "hello, how are you?" It was more of a "Who are you?" I explained I dropped off a blue dress but did not have my ticket, she was able to grab it from the side. I told her the bottom was not done yet and I brought my heels to get the bottom worked on.. I tried the dress on with heels, turns out I no longer needed the bottom to be hemmed. While I had it on, I noticed the straps were not equally long, one was longer than the other and I pointed it out to her, she kinda shrugged her shoulders like I was bothering her. I ask her if her alteration facility will be able to fix this, she handed it to the girl sitting down and she fixed it. I requested an adjustment on my receipt/payment since not all of the items were performed. I no longer needed the $40 adjustment in the bottom of the dress. She agreed and returned something back to my card. Upon getting home, I noticed she returned $30, which clearly states on the receipt that it was for the top half that was worked on. She charged me the $40 for the "shortening" even though the shortening was not done. I called her and she said the woman who wrote the receipt in the first place did not write it correctly. Upon trying the dress on again at home, I notice all the imperfections, such as the pulls in the front and the back as well as all the leftover thread, it was not trimmed down or cut off. Overall, this dress was not presentable to a client. It still needed a lot of work and they should have mentioned that it was pulled by accident since there were more than one. I do not recommend this place to anyone, it was over priced, careless, and lacks customer service. I noticed how different another client was treated versus myself, and the owner did ask personal questions as to what I do for a living, which seems odd to me because I'm just there to pick up a dress. The one picture that is posted on here by another yelper does not accurately show what this shop looks like. It was a sweat shop. It is not decorated or look decent to walk in, and it's very run down. There is one or two cats roaming around which was the only thing I actually liked about the shop. read more

I rarely give a business five stars. This one deserves it. Finding a skilled Taylor for alterations is tricky. I brought in four items for alteration, two of them complicated. Francesca did a fantastic job and the price was very reasonable. I needed to shorten the arm holes on two blouses, a pair of dress pants hemmed and the midsection of a dress taken in. The dress was particularly complicated because of two layers of fabric and gathering. Everything was completed with precision and the items were ready when promised. This place is a true amenity in the city of Fort Lauderdale. I highly recommend them!! read more

Paid to have pants hemmed with blind stitching. They didn't do that. They did poor quality sewn seam which showed. Didn't even have the pride of workmanship to remove the white chalk marks used to place the fold for the hem. Although they offered to redo the hem, the fabric would already show their error. Never go here. I came to get a Free People cotton shirt tailored so the open back and sleeves don't drop and stay put. As q first time customer I felt dismissed and frowned upon for not having a higher priced item but went ahead against my gut feeling because alterations is all this place does and I wanted to be open minded. I was asked to pay upfront and a rather steep price, even for Manhattan standards. I promised to come back. I returned months later with the pins still there, prepaid and was told it will be ready in 8 days. I thought it was odd for a place that calls itself next day but again I agreed. The shirt sleeves were way too tight, the shirt slumped still in the back and it now looked so tight and lost its style that it's going in the donation pile. Very bad costumer service!! Avoid this place!!!! Left 3 pants for alterations and they lost one of them!!! After trying to solve the problem and talk about it with the owner(Anita)...she didn't do anything about it!!! I showed up an hour before they closed (on the day my clothes were to be ready) and she sent me away to come back an hour later to get them, right at closing time. I have been going to this place for years and while this is not "next day", I found that they often did a good job. Until the last time...paid $173 for 4 alterations. 2 dresses came back undone and I only found out that the job was unfinished when I was actually trying the clothes to wear them. I returned to ask them to finish the job and the seamstress was very friendly, "no problem". Days later the owner Anita calls me to say that the work had not been done there, that it was very bad quality, that nobody there recognizes the dresses and that they were not going to touch them. Plain rude with me, interrupting me all the time, and acting as if I was cheating them. I called back to give her the details of the charge and receipt. I was very nervous about bringing in a pair of tropical weight wool slacks from a new suit to have them hemmed and let out an inch. The workmanship was excellent, and on time. I wish I had read all these rotten reviews before I left my clothes there for tailoring. AFTER ABOUT A WEEK (a far cry from "next" day) I called because they REQUIRE that you do that. Not only wasn't my clothes ready, one pair of pants had cuffs on them and she said she didn't know whether I wanted the cuffs or not. That was a little irritating because I was very clear that I did not want cuffs when I left the trousers there. Then she said "they weren't marked' and the length is different. I was told they didn't have to be tried on because I tried on another pair and don't like trying clothes on. She THEN said she would NOT fix them and would give me my money back. I didn't want my money back after leaving them there all that time. I wanted them finished. When I went in to the store and was explaining to another woman what happened, the woman I had spoken to opened up her mouth and was very rude. I even pointed out that the ticked itself was clearly marked "no cuffs." She then - in a nasty sarcastic tone told me I would have to get everything marked in the future or if it wasn't done right I would have to repay to have it done again. She was just being rude and contrary .... and I replied I DON'T have to try them on and she lost the shop a customer and referrals. She said "THAT'S OK". I told her it was NOT OK and that was a rotten way to be running a business. The place is definitely not next day service. More like 3 Day Alterations. The ladies I saw there barely spoke English. They used the wrong color thread to alter a pair of pants I had them work on, so I had to cut that out and do myself as opposed to using this place to fix their mess.
