In addition to some of the specifics mentioned in my previous review (see below), there have been several instances where Ankers could have just recommended the more expensive route to fix something, but chose to allow us to make an informed decision by trying alternatives or doing things incrementally so that it could be determined if a smaller fix would suffice. All this without sacrificing the integrity of the car, though. It is such a relief to know you are going to receive competent and honest work on one of the major financial investments you make: your vehicle. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Color me shocked when they showed me the Alignment report on why she had 2 rear tires going bald on the outside where even the steel belts were showing on one. Even hitting a pothole every day for 6 months couldn't have screwed up her alignment that bad. They have no idea what they are doing regarding alignment to the point they either don't even do it, or they have incompetent employees taking short cuts. I would recommend you not visit them for anything related to alignments or tires. Within 8 months you will probably have the same issue and be out another 1k+. Absolutely ridiculous to take advantage like that.

So here I am driving down State St, one plate in the rear view window and one on the dashboard. I pulled into Pro Automotive and what a relief. Rick not only found screws for the plates he put them on and even put the registration sticker on for me. The big plus was he would not charge me. As they welded it together they used to much heat which damaged the honeycomb inside and pieces broke off inside which caused got clogging and could have caused a fire being the gas couldn't come out the muffler. I was obviously taken advantage of being i am a woman and that was completely WRONG. I am a single mother of two children and our safety comes first and obviously they were only thinking about the money and not our safety. I also brought my car to two different mechanics that said the same thing. Thankfully they refunded me back the money yesterday 2/3/22 to be able to pay for my car to get fixed somewhere else.

I came in to schedule my appointment and got an estimate. The work is now complete. They hit the estimate (installed new brakes all around), plus a little extra for antifreeze (drain & fill), and a tire rotation. Tires were already off the vehicle, so why not rotate them? Makes sense to me. It was one of the hottest days of the summer so far, 90 degrees, and these guys were still on it. No complaints, just got the work done. Better than me. I think I've found my new go to auto repair shop.
