    Rage Room

This was my second time coming here. The first time wasn't as crowded. Check in was a breeze. We went into the paint room. You can paint on the walls, tables, basically anywhere and they give you a canvas. Pretty sweet! This time we did a bit of waiting. The staff is friendly. Just seems short staffed. We went to the rage room and ax throwing. Both were fun. I enjoyed the ax throwing more but my arms were sore afterwards lol. So stretch first. Overall I would go again!

Great place to bring the kids! We choose the paint activity for a group of 4-5 year olds. Linda enthusiastically helped us get them into their aprons and led us to the activity room. The upbeat music added to the lively atmosphere. The children had a blast with the vibrant neon paints, enjoying the freedom to paint everywhere, even on the canvases. There were plenty of paint brushes and tools for everyone. The final works of art were put into pizza boxes, which were great for a no mess take away. After our painting session, the staff kindly showed us the rage and splatter paint rooms. Their customer service was excellent throughout. I would definitely recommend as an indoor activity for a hot or rainy day.

Something different, somewhat messy, sometimes splatter, but lots of fun. Check out Blacklight Paint Splatter for a different kind of date night. Tap into your inner child and throw some paint around to create a masterpiece. If you don't have paint all over the place, you aren't having the right kind of fun. Friendly staff and reasonably priced, great for all ages

My big sis invited me out with a group to a "Rage Room". I had never been and even though it sounded kinda dangerous, I was intrigued by the name. I visited the website and decided I'd go. $50 PP. Appropriate clothing and shoes were required (sweatpants, jeans, closed toed boots/ sneakers, etc.). It was a small facility, shared with another business. Ample free parking on their lot. We hung our coats, were read the rules and pix were taken. We walked pass other "rage rooms" to get to ours. It was a large room with a mountain of "stuff". I saw dishes, electronics like computer monitors, keyboards, copiers, musical instruments like guitars , space heaters, etc... anything that can be broken was present and ready to be smashed! They had a file cabinet in the room for your belongings, a unique set up to hold your phone for recording, and a crate full of weapons to use, (I.E. baseball bats, hatchets, hammers, etc.). You were also able to play your own music which we opted to do. Our group ages ranged from 18-50. We all participated and had a great time breaking a sweat while breaking up some ISH! It was a very different experience for me. In my opinion, the youngest of the group, a college student, appeared to enjoy it the most. If you've ever felt the urge to throw your phone, smash your computer screen, or play frisbee w/ Fine China, this place is for you! There were also other activities like "Glow in the Dark Paint Splatter" available that looked pretty cool. Check them out!

Fun place if you want to hit some stuff! They charge you per the hour and inside they have suits if you want to pay extra. Otherwise you can go in in regular clothes. Definitely wear closed toe shoes. They give you a face shield to wear so your head is protected.

My friends and I visited the rage room and opted for the splatter paint session (total cost was $42.56, but it was well worth it). We had an absolute blast! We were provided with a hazmat suit, goggles, a canvas, and ample paints and brushes. We were taken to a black light room, where it was super cool to see the paint hit the canvas. The room also has a bicycle, and when you pedal, it helps disperse the paint across the canvas. The overall paint splatter session was only supposed to last 25-minutes, but we received a solid 45+ minutes or so. Once we were done with the session, we were given large pizza boxes to store our wet canvases for the drive home. This is a great method to preserve the paintings. We did not have to stress about our paintings getting messed up during the long drive home. All in all, this whole experience was a stress reliever. We really needed an experience like this to release some steam. I would highly recommend this to others. We will return next time to checkout the actual rage room so we can break some random objects.

COVID Protections: the front door is consistently open and you can only go in with the folks you came with. They have sanitizer handy. They do have reusable gloves but you put on disposable gloves underneath. Everyone was masked. I didn't see anyone physically disinfecting but it could've just been when we came. You're not touching too much honestly. They provide you with face shields but they let me bring in my own. You do have to wear a neck guard and that was the only thing that worried me. So overall 9/10 on COVID protections. Price: it was 5 of us and we split the $95 super smash package. The car smash was $15 per person - which to me was a bit pricey for only 5 minutes. Between all of us it was about $34 per person plus the $15 room fee. Groups of 4+ have to reserve 2 time slots. Experience: I wont lie, I was a little weary about the service initially when it took a while to get an email back, the website was unclear, and they didn't answer the phone. So I was pleasantly surprised when they were extremely nice and care free. They let me key the car LOL. We had a really good time! I'll come back now that I know the specs. Location: check your gps for the timing. I figured it was deep in Baltimore City but it was only in the most southern part of Baltimore. A good compromise location if you have friends in PG County and Baltimore.

We were greeted by 3 staff members (apologies I don't remember their names). I initially thought this was just a venue to smash stuff but it was explained that this is a mental health venture aimed at spiritual healing. After signing the waivers and donning our PPE, we went in. The wooden structure isn't huge so you cant get running starts or make any long over hear arm movements, but it ended being just the right amount of space to get your smash on. Initially I was caught up in the novelty of smashing things, but a point in time came where that novelty faded and I found myself tapping into an aggression and emotion I did not go there with. It wasn't until I stood there out of breath with my hands sore that I truly understood what this place was for. That session provided a space and avenue for me to truly let go, for just a little bit. If you haven't done that recently (or ever), you need to book a session to understand what im talking about. A challenge was issued to me to put in work on the water heater and I made a decent hole in it but that thing was tough. They sure don't make em like they used to.

The site was well furnished with safety gear (goggles, gloves, etc.), tools (bats, sledgehammers, etc.) and objects to smash (microwave oven, water heater, glass bottles, etc.). It was stress relieving and fun with the opportunity to damage and destroy inanimate objects in a normally civilized world. I definitely recommend if in the DMV area.

I have been to several paint nights and have even left in tears from one of those... that was not the case with Creative Mankind. This company travels around to different venues and offers a variety of painting options. I met up with a group of friends and we painted a Mardi Gras themed picture. Right off the bat I knew it was going to be an awesome experience. We were greeted with upbeat music and beads to celebrate the occasion. Our instructor really put a lot of thought and passion into the class ahead of time. Laying on the canvas was a template of the mask we needed to transfer to our painting. She let us know that we could "go rogue" and change up the colors and skip the sketching parts but I am way not that talented! She had one completed painting on an easel and another blank canvas for demonstration up on an elevated easel. It was visible to everyone in the room without having to stand up. She was extremely accommodating as far as time given for each step, which I really appreciated! It was fun how she would tell us how many songs she would play for us to finish each step... "okay you have two songs to do this step!" There was an assistant who walked around and offered advice and guidance which was helpful. Creative Mankind had partnered with a restaurant that offered drink specials and happy hour pricing for apps! The restaurant provided a dedicated server to us which was a nice touch. And huzzah... my painting actually looked a lot like the sample! Which for me is a huge deal because I am really not artistic or creative with paint. We were all encouraged along the way and our confidence was bolstered by telling us that everyone is an artist but we express our artistry in different ways. I was with a party of six and all of our paintings turned out different and reflected our personalities. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Creative Mankind for any event they host. They also do private parties!

She was so nice, so patient, and super accommodating in every way possible. She even found the most perfect venue to hold our team event (Lyon Hall). She provided all supplies, ensured the ambiance was great and lively, and her instruction was so thorough! She guided us -ever so patiently- every step of the way. We had so much fun! Look, I don't know how these folks aren't already listed in Yelp but allow me to introduce you to…read morethem. Charm City Trivia are the #1 most professional, entertaining, friendly, competitive, and respected trivia team in the area. While they're more focused toward the Baltimore area (duh) they do reach down into PG and Howard counties (see the map I included). I've been going to their location at Maple Lawn (Looney's) for about a month or so now and I can tell you that they're amazing. The questions range from the pretty easy ("What movie featured a car with the license plate, "OUTATIME"?) to the pretty difficult ("Name the three capitals of South Africa."). The questions show up on screens throughout the facility and the announcer is very easily heard without being obnoxious. [An added bonus is that the food at Looney's is pretty darn good!] The format is: 6 rounds of questions 3 questions per round 5 (I think) toss up questions (these are numerical questions where the closest to the answer wins) 1 final question (the only one where you can lose points) Each round has three different amounts you can assign to an answer (if you're positive of an answer you assign it the highest number). If you're wrong, you don't lose those points...except for the final question which you can wager up to 40 points. Big swings in team position can happen in the final question. I cannot encourage you strongly enough to try out a location that is hosting Charm City Trivia. Check their website and see the zillions of times and places that they're running a game. Trust me, you'll have a blast even if you come in last place like my team did last night.
