At the end of my run I returned and asked if they were associated with 'my' store 2 hours away. Not only are they, but I learned from the very nice and helpful salesperson that they have 17 stores in the southeast! It never even occurred to me to look for Fifi's elsewhere, so I was thrilled to learn this little tidbit! Now...the real reason for being there was shopping and boy was I ever pleased! A Ralph Lauren skirt in my size on the 5$ rack! I found an amazing St. John suit jacket...well, I found several but one can only buy so much at once without a scowling husband. ;) The store was clean, well-lit and had a super selection in many sizes. While not a petite myself, I was impressed to see a fully separate section for those sizes as well as a really great plus size selection! I wear 6 or 8 generally and there were a BEVY of items in those sizes. I truly think I could have completely restocked my wardrobe there--even a few evening pieces--had I chosen to stay on permanent vacation and not returned home. The shoe selection seemed quite nice in sizes up to 11, I alas wear a 13, so nothing for me, but lots of pretty pairs to look at and excellent pricing for shoes still in nearly new condition. While I cannot imagine making a trip all the way to Waynesville only to shop a consignment store, I can guarantee you that any future trip I do make there will include a stop at this delightful gem...and a purchase or two!

Ellie's is NOT that. Bright, clean, no smell of 'other people's stuff'. Fresh, very well organized inventory. Need a cardigan in a specific size and color and don't have time to comb through racks and racks of stuff? This is your place. You could literally walk in, look at the great signage and find your cardi in the right color and size within a minute or 2.
