3/20/26- Let me first say that doctors offices are the places I want to visit the least of all places in the world. I loathe being poked and prodded. Austin Gastro of Leander was phenomenal in making me feel at ease about the entire experience from the 1st consult to checking in for the procedure, to the prep and then coming out of the anesthesia and checking out. The entire staff was on point and very caring and made the experience as painless as it possibly could have been. This place is awesome, if you must go. Side note: I don't leave many reviews good or bad. But when a place delivers exceptional service they deserve to be recognized. read more

personally am not impressed at all after getting these procedures at this establishment I was admitted into the hospital after leaving this facility I went to the emergency room because I was so sick Apparently, severe sepsis as well as pneumonia l've never had a problem while being put sleep by anesthesiologist before in the past also, I am not an high risk patient as the anesthesiologist was fussing at the nurse telling her to never bring me back to that facility again I would need to be in the hospital to get this type of procedures This was not the place for high risk patients that his facility did not have the proper equipment for high risk patients I was very confused because I am not high risk patient the anesthesiologist and the nurse were arguing never was told anything while at their facility for why I was coughing so bad and having other breathing problems and such Or what happened to me while being asleep during the procedures I feel that should've told me before | left that facility. I was so sick The anesthesiologist and the nurse had stated the exact same explanation later to me while I was in the hospital I had to call to them to ask them on the phone why they were they arguing in front of me What happened to me was my question which I really think they should've told me before | left their establishment what had happened to me And also, it wasn't normal for me to be so sick and coughing, extremely coughing where I was having other problems and having breathing problems etc... Also, while talking to them in the hospital on the trying to find out what was going on while I was there I asked them to put it in writing to my primary doctor which they did not do I had contacted them for an explanation Later as well getting explanations from others that weren't even in the building when I was there that did not make sense actually contradicted everything that I have been told Nothing makes sense that I've been told at all And asking them as well why they had not written my doctor to let him know exactly what happened to me while I was put to sleep. They said that they would do it again. I don't know if they have yet or not. All I know is | am still sick and it's been over a month spent a few days in the hospital with severe sepsis and pneumonia with breathing treatments and tons of antibiotics and medicines Still not feeling the way, I felt before I went in for these procedures very unfortunate situation I will never trust this facility again and I'm devastated from what I've gone through and what I may have to go through so very disappointed also, the doctor that did the procedure. I have nothing good to say about her as well. She's never called me to check on me I would never trust her as well again so very devastated Debra sahn is my legal name. Yesterday Dr. Chad Long did a colonoscopy and endoscopy on me, and I just can't emphasize enough what a great doctor he is. His staff, the anesthesiologist, the receptionist, RN...all amazing medical professionals who exhibited a lotta love & care for me, and that made the process a much more tolerant experience than ordinarily I might've expected. Ive called this location twice over a month apart in attempts to make an appointment. Both times I was met by a very mean and disrespectful scheduling clerk. I have never in my life or 14 years of military service gotten into a yelling match with a medical agencies answering clerk but this place takes the cake. I have still not been seen for the needed testing. I will be calling my insurance company to find a different location following this last call. Good luck to you all.! read more

First, I went to see Dr. Parastoo Jangouk for an appointment & she was wonderful. She helped me to schedule a colonoscopy. I went to the same location for the colonoscopy today since it's right across the hall. Everyone there was very helpful and friendly. Michelle did an amazing job starting my IV. I have thin, floating veins & am difficult for any kind of needle. I barely felt it & she got the vein right away. I truly appreciate her! Darren was pre-procedure nurse and he was wonderful! He walked me through additional paperwork & set my mind at ease. Friendly & helpful! Cheri was post-procedure nurse and she was great! She gave me something to drink, answered my questions, and was very kind. She also helped me get safely to the car with my boyfriend who was driving me home. The anesthesiologists were awesome too! Paul & Katie knocked me out & I came back just fine. That's exactly what you want to happen. Dr. Jangouk came in & told my boyfriend the results. Also gave him a print out of everything she said which was perfect so I could review it later when I was more awake. No one wants to go for a colonoscopy, but it's the right thing to do. Austin Endoscopy center and Austin Gastro made this an easy experience and I appreciate all of them! read more

Sometimes the physician in a practice does not know how the patient is being treated by office staff. I suspect this is the case with the following review. Dr. Jangouk is still awesome. She ordered a test for me (a breath test that saw me blowing air into 10 different vials And then and sending these off to a third party laboratory) which I dutifully took and mailed off. Naturally I expected to be able to see the results of the test in my patient portal. My mistake. The doctors' practice contacted me on the patient portal to ask me to contact the laboratory and see what had happened with the results. In my 54 years this is the first time that a doctor's office has asked me to chase down test results. When I contacted the office, this is the reply I got: "We are asking you to follow up with the company and letting them know your doctor has not received the results. ​ ​We are here to help treat you after we receive the results but we don't call the company to find out about results. ​" Really? I'm sure everyone is as busy as everyone else but this is just bad service. I would expect a practice employing such phenomenal doctors to have equally talented office staff. Were it not for the expertise and general excellence of Dr. Jangouk, this is the type of thing that would cause me to fire the practice and find a new one. Do better. read more

I saw one of the doctors and he had me undergo several tests. Unfortunately, he could find nothing wrong, which was disappointing. Strike one. When I went to schedule a followup appointment, I discovered that he no longer comes to Leander and wanted to drive into Austin. I asked if I could see one of the other doctors at this practice. Apparently, there is a waiting period because they don't want patients getting a second opinion if they don't like the first doctor they see. While I understand the rationale, my situation was different because the doctor I had previously seen decided he was no longer going to come to Leander. It had nothing to do with my wanting a second opinion. Strike two. After the waiting period was over, I reviewed the bios and called and asked for a specific doctor. I was then told he was no longer accepting new patients. Strike three. After that, I went to see Dr. Siddiqui at Texas Digestive Disease Consultants and had a much better experience. Dr. Siddiqui is very thorough. read more

5/1/24 - Don't be Anxious !! Super surprised NOT to see a 5 Star Average for this location in Leander. However, this is probably one of the most feared and invasive procedures we endure. My 3rd and most relaxed experience! ( Read on) The worst part of this whole procedure is the Cleanse , which, by the way, is done in the privacy of your own home. The NEW Cleanse , for me, was 2) 6oz bottles of medicine, that wasn't bad tasting at all, followed by several glasses of water. ( I found warm water was more tolerable ) Nothing like the gallon of some nasty mixture I had to ingest 5 yrs ago. The lobby is very nice and modern. Now let's get into the actual procedure. I found the staff to be very warm and compassionate. ( I feel like they understood the theanxiety we as patients are feeling ) You change into a typical hospital gown. Next an IV is inserted ( no different than your annual blood work) and then you just relax. The Anesthesiologist comes by to visit and answer any questions. Then my Nurse Anesthetist came in and said he'd be with me during the procedure. My Anesthetist was Brett. Right away you could tell Brett really cares about you as a person. He is nice and has an engaging personality. You can tell, he's passionate about what he does. All my intake staff were careful to protect my modesty and calm any fears. (thankfully they haven't become ambivalent) Next they reel you into a very modern procedure room. I had a compassionate doctor, Dr Frank. (a really nice guy) They ask if you have any questions and after answering No you simply fall asleep. Literally. Next thing you know, you wake up and you're feeling fine. After a short recovery you're all done. I wasn't groggy and didn't feel violated at all. I believe total time at the facility was an hour and 55 minutes. ( they've got this down ) The whole point of this lengthy review was to help you realize this is nothing to fear anymore. It's less of a hassle than having a cavity filled. read more

I'm not quite sure about the low ratings, because I had an excellent experience and care. Upon entering the waiting area, I signed in & was given forms to fill out. I completed them and was called right up to finish my check in & receive my wristband. The check in lady was very nice & efficient, and answered all my billing questions. I was then called back by Lindsay to get prepped for my procedure. She had a warm gown & blanket waiting and made me very comfortable! She was very professional and kind, and I felt at ease. I was also visited by the Anesthesiologist and they asked all the right questions to prepare me. I was wheeled in, and met the other nurses and techs and conversed with Dr Jangouk before I was put under. I woke up a bit later & was soon on my way. The facility is state of the art and immaculate! I highly recommend Dr Jangouk, the medical and admin staff of Austin Gastroenterology Center! They made my experience relaxed and comfortable. read more

Doctor Jangouk provided me with the worst service I have experienced in my life. As a young adult I came here with severe symptoms, paid an obscene amount for one scoping that she spent a short few hours on for her to tell me she had no clue, I went home with no relief and not even one step closer to a diagnosis. I ended up in the Emergency room not long after where I spent a week in the hospital paid almost the same amount and got the surgery and answers I needed so desperately. Please save yourself the time, effort, and money, austin gastro is not worth it. read more

I've been having GI issues for about 10 weeks now and was able to get in with Dr. Jangouk at around the 8 weeks mark. (I'm two weeks or so past that appointment) First and foremost, Dr. Jangouk is not exactly the friendliest or most personable doctor I've worked with. When I explained the sudden onset of symptoms and offered lifestyle/diet information at the forefront, she was dismissive and seemed like she was already rushing out to see another patient. I was given some labs to run and walked out without any answers but hopeful I would get some soon. Fast forward to the weeks following and my symptoms got substantially worse--to the point where I am now on an on-and-off again liquid diet. I had called the office to explain my concerns and was finally able to get in touch with Dorothy, the nurse practitioner. She's probably the ONLY person I've interacted with at this office that seems like a genuine human being. She was understanding and offered some short-term solutions for my current symptoms. However after being told I have to wait a few weeks to get the last of my labs done, I was at a loss in terms of what changes I can make to feel better on the day-to-day since the advice Dorothy gave didn't seem to help the fundamental problem substantially. I had called back the office and was basically playing phone-tag with them because I--too--work a full-time job and am unavailable during a majority of their office hours. I finally was able to talk to Shannon, the scheduling assistant (or something?), and I was dismissed, talked down to, and ultimately was told that the practice wouldn't/couldn't do anything without me coming in again. When I asked her about whether or not they would actually be able to do anything more than offer some "advice" about how to move forward, she claimed that the point of the appointment would basically be to "bill" me for the "free" medical advice I had been getting previously. They would be unable to write any prescriptions or do anything that would actually CHANGE my current symptoms at that appointment, so I deemed it to be unnecessary at that point. What's the point of coming in to "talk" to a practitioner who could give me the same advice as a Google Search? Ultimately, given my current experience with this practice, I would stay away. As a young adult who has had ZERO GI problems in her entire life (which is why I'm so concerned about it in the first place), it seemed like all they wanted to do was rack up a bill from a patient rather than actually help their patients feel better. Truthfully, as an advocate for women in medicine, this was a really disappointing experience for me and I'm hoping they are able to reflect and look at how they interact with their patients on a day-to-day. Side note: I saw that the office staff seems to be a general problem with this practice so I suppose I'm not surprised to have had this experience with those people specifically. read more

I was scheduled with Dr Parastoo Jangouk at 8:15 with 30 min earlier arrival time. I was on time, and was brought back to the exam room at 8. At 8:30 I finally stepped out in the hallway because no one had informed me of when the doctor would be in. The answer I got was that the doctor was not even in the office yet. I, myself work in a very busy doctors office, and it is not good customer service to let the patient wait that long because you're (the doctor) late in the morning. It is disrespectful to me as a patient since I had to take time out of my day and miss work for this appointment. Poor patient care. The staff was overall friendly but not attentive in that regard. I made this appointment early in the morning on purpose so that I could go back to work. Very disappointed :( read more

Dr Delipathi has been very keen to listen and provide proper care. The nursing staff at the endoscopy PROCEDURE center were fantastic. I agree with the other reviewer Scott. Dr Delipathi was very surprised I was unable to get in to see him for a FOLLOW up after 6 months. Grant it, the communication on the end of the PCP office at texas circle of care is lacking to say the least, however, there is definitely some bearing of responsibility on the Gastro office side. I was also told, like the other reviewer, to chase down my pcp, insurance, referral team etc on my own. After trying several times to coordinate insurance authorization and pcp referrals to no avail, took me 6 months, finally broke down crying and got a team member to do the office work for me. What the heck?! When did the office work become our job? I have immediate family members with rare diseases and have NEVER had this type of illness experience chasing appointments. Of course there are other factors like holidays and sheer lack of Will to call and try again. So glad I didn't have colon cancer. Dr Delipathi please get office people into the office and out the CALL Center! Water cooler talk would help them work as a team. At least the dr and nurses know what they're doing. read more
