The dadyy sitting there today is taking her mask off while she's coughing, but as soon as we walked in the door, she immediately snapped at us to put masks on. They are some of the worst I've seen. I visited this place back in June , they sent me bill two months later for me and my sone with unrealistic charges there . I called to understand the agent said it looks like there is an issue I will call the McKinney Texas clinic and get back to you. Of course nothing happened after. I decided to pay it and not use their service again specially they haven't helped me that much in medical side . I paid my invoice through doxo it took from them two month to clear the check and they haven't applied the payment into my account , called three agents this morning heard three different scenario, I have all the the support documentation that shows they cleared the payment, however, I'm still showing I have the same balance, called emailed spent almost for hours with no luck. This place is so disorganized. I booked for my rapid CoVid testing more than 2 weeks ago needing to get a rapid test 1 day before traveling. They messed up my appointment and put me for a send out testing. After standing there awkwardly for a while, the rude receptionist finally accommodated us. The doctor and nurse were both first class, but this place is clearly under poor management and I would be deterred from going there except for the good medical staff. read more

Notice all the reviews referring to the rude and apathetic front desk staff. These are often acknowledged but nothing changes. The negative reviews continue with the same common thread. I had my first experience with PrimaCare today and encountered this first hand when I walked in for a Covid test. The receptionship informed me that the facility had reached its capacity today. I simply made the statement that perhaps the website needed to be updated with current testing capacity status since I had driven a bit after searching for a place that was in my network and accepting walkins. I didn't raise my voice at all. The young lady didn't even make eye contact and just tapped on the glass behind which a sign was taped saying that aggressive behavior won't be tolerated. I laughed and told the young lady that my comment wasn't aggressive behavior. A little empathy when people aren't feeling well would go a long way. People are frustrated due to the woeful lack of testing facilities. I work in healthcare and have a passion for great customer experiences. Urgent cares and testing facilities are raking in the dough right now thanks to Covid-19 but the pandemic won't last forever and the customer experience will be a differentiator. Horrible service. I spent 1 hour and 42 minutes at this location. 1 hour and 12 minutes in the back 30 minutes waiting to be seen. I have never had a physical take this long. My physical last year was on a Friday night so the amount of people is no excuse and will not be expected. The ladies were nice and did treat me fine. I came her for x rays on a possible broken ankle on 11/11/18 and the bed side manor was just bad. When they took my x rays they didn't put the lead vest on me and the tech kinda man handled my ankle/foot. After my X rays were developed the doctor just walked in and said your ankle isn't broke and handed me a paper for my medicine script and what the x rays said. She didn't explain anything at all and walked out. The best thing about the whole experience was the receptionist Honestly. My ankle is still extremely swollen and I'm in serious pain so I'm getting a second opinion in a few days after thanksgiving holiday is over. I will not be returning to this facility at all. Collecting up front is WRONG and treats us like we aren't going to pay our bill. Money is sitting on my HSA card but I'm not PAYING YOUR INFLATED BILLED AMOUNT or a % of it EITHER! When I have a PPO plan, you are to file my insurance, not try to charge me a percentage of your billed amount up front. I don't have a copay because mine is not an HMO. Quit trying to take advantage of people who don't understand insurance and the proper procedures. What happens is the insurance pays way less and you wind up trying to get a refund from these places and good luck with that. I spent months trying to get a refund from a place like this and got it only when I said they need to start paying interest on the use of my $. If an insurance co is late with the payment to the provider, the provider charges interest, so it works both ways. I had a Dr charge me $900 up front and the insurance paid $200.00. I had to hound them for 6 months for a refund. I had a lab tell me they won't send a check for less than $20.00 after charging my husband up front. I said so you just keep that $, basically stealing a little from everyone. Don't think that doesn't add up nicely for them. I had a surgeon's office refuse to do an emergency surgery on my daughter to get a piece of wheat out of her throat unless I paid my full deductible up front, claiming the hospital won't get their bill in first. Guess what, the hospital got in first and the insurance took the deductible off their bill. Had to hound the surgeon for the refund after they insisted I needed to pay it! Sheesh..and these places wonder why I REFUSE to pay unless you know the exact contracted amount the insurance will pay. THIS IS WHY..get it? Go somewhere else that doesn't treat you like you won't pay your bill after it is filed properly with the insurance. read more

I called my regular doctor after I fell. She told me they don't have x ray machines in their office, and told me to try Primacare. I called ahead, and got in quickly. I was very impressed with the doctor. He was caring, efficient, and the x ray tech was nice as well. Very good experience in a bad situation. read more

This place is horrible and should not be allowed to see patients, let alone TREAT them. This is a two part review and please read the entire review. The first time I visited this facility, I had a very bad accident at the gym. I knew something was broken in my foot by the shear pain I was experiencing and the black/blue shade my foot was turning. This ridiculous doctor who you could barely understand because she spoke broken English, spoke incredibly too fast and never once looked up at you viewed my X-rays and "confirmed" to my face that nothing was broken. My fiancé was sitting next to me and asked to see the X-rays as he too knew something wasn't quite right based on the condition of my foot so the doctor showed him as well and he pointed out 2 cracks in my foot. The doctor responded, "oh, you are right. This is broken." Should I carry on about this doctor and facility? Sure, why not. A few weeks ago, I had an ailment that couldn't wait until my primary physician opened so I was left to the hands of the worst urgent care facility in the area (eyes roll back in my head). I was prescribed an antibiotic and they would run some labs to ensure the antibiotic was working. I called 3 days later and no response. I called again 4 days later and no response. Apparently, in the mist of trying to reach them, they FINALLY got results back and I needed a new antibiotic as the previous one was not effective so they called in a new one but NEVER notified me and this was more than a week later so I took a full round of unneeded antibiotics. The pharmacy called to tell me I had a new prescription to pickup; not the damn clinic. Who treats patients this way? No bedside manner. No manners at all and to wrap up this entire review, their facility is grossly underkept. There are other urgent care places in the area so please, use those instead. This hole needs to be closed. They have no business being a "medical facility." read more

Prima Care is staffed with friendly, knowledgeable people who treat patience well. I've recommended their clinic to family and friends as they are willing to work with patient's needs. I haven't tried the call ahead system of getting on the waiting list and then coming in to be seen at the time they are ready but I love that they offer this option and will try it in the future. read more

Excellent! The entire staff was kind, compassionate, efficient, and knowledgeable. I visited this location for a Rapid COVID test. The woman at the front desk was very accommodating with my scheduling needs. The nurse that took my vitals was quick and cheerful. She also did the nasal swab and prepared me for what that would be like. The doctor came in to give me a general exam while we waited for the test results. She provided great information on the pandemic, addressed potential issues if my symptoms were not COVID related, and was overall very delightful, knowledgeable, and compassionate. I called to see if my insurance would cover COVID testing, or what my cost would be. Couldn't tell me unless I went in.

Called ahead and was told to just walk in since they were going to be busy with sports physicals. Walked in just after 5pm for Covid test. They Held my ID's and worked other apparent walk in files. Once those entering after me were being called and returned their IDs I asked if they were still needed. The clerk said she had not entered them yet. That time period was 20-30minutes. I then asked if I could wait outside and the clerk replied yes as well as returned my IDs saying they could be entered later. I sat out side for 1 & 1/2 hours with no call or contact. I returned inside at 7:40pm to check my status. The clerk said since I did not return she removed me from list. She said she had called and texted me. My phone never rang and the only texts were from my family checking on my status. She took my IDs again and added me to the list and warned me they lock the doors at 8pm so I should stay nearby. No apology, no moving me up the list, no remorse or attempt to appease me. Epic fail. Guess what, it's 8:15pm, and I've met a ray of sunshine named Wendy. She is getting this moving now. The test has been administered and I'm anxious for a rapid test so I may determine if I should request coverage at work or return. Went to Primacare in McKinney on Thursday before Christmas for a steroid shot. I was very disappointed they the patients did not wait in their cars until they were ready for you! I saw no cleaning or disaffecting! I called the next day to let them know I test positive for Covid and they said we always have covid patients waiting! I believe people should be waiting in car so we are not exposing people around us or maybe sitting close to me! read more

I can't thank the incredible team enough for taking me as a walk in today on Mother's Day! I left feeling great which was amazing because I've been dealing with allergies, cough, and congestion for several days. My asthma starting acting up and I couldn't sleep for days. Nikki at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. Rena was knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable. And Dr. Verma Neelam is a true life saver!!! She took great care of me and explained that I had asthmatic bronchitis. I was given a shot, liquid cough medicine, therapy breathing from the nebulizer. First time using this machine and it completely cleared my airways from the weezing that I've been dealing with for days! I have a few problems, some that may or may not be related to high blood pressure, and some that definitely are not. When the FNP (1st initial T) found that I have high blood pressure, she tried to get it down, but could not. So she decided not to help me with anything! Zero! It was as if she forgot about my other problems, even the one that she found. (I didn't know I had that problem when I went in there). So I did not get help for anything, and I was still charged $135. I could have spent that money on other things. Why should I even go there? Not only that, but I made my appointment on the internet. When I got there, there were 4 walk-ins ahead of me. I was told previously that appointments take precedence over walk-ins. They all got in before I did. I do not recommend PrimaCare! Due to their lack of customer service, I will stick with CareNow. The main reason is because when I called which I thought was the actual clinic was a customer service center. The lady I spoke with came off as rude when I asked how long the wait was which she could not give me!! If CareNow can tell me that they have a 4 hour wait then certainly PrimaCare can do the same. Instead I have to wait hours and hours until I get the call to come in. Will not be going to PrimaCare! read more

On March 15th @ 9:09 I signed in at PrimaCare. I spent the next 45 minutes being genuinely cared for by each person on the staff that morning. Olivia met me with a kind "How can I help you this morning?" and she helped me with all of my sign-in protocols. In a few minutes, Patti and Monica called me to follow them into the back area. They also, were very kind, courteous, and compassionate with documenting all of my varies symptoms and self-diagnostic queries. They took me to the room where Dr. Verma soon came in to take a deeper look at my condition. She quickly confirmed my symptoms and asked me more complex questions to confirm her prognosis. I have been to many medical clinics in McKinney over the last 17 years. I keep returning to this one. I feel...more than helped, when I leave. I feel...valued. While, it is always my goal to ...not see them... when I need them... they welcome me, like I am their most important patient of the day.
