After interviewing many contractors and home improvement companies to remodel my kitchen (total gut job), I hired NextGen Remodeling - a smart move on my part. I had a very positive experience, and because of that, I can highly recommend NextGen Remodeling. Before discovering NextGen, I spent several months interviewing contractors and home remodelers. No one seemed to be the right fit. With several contractors, I felt rushed during the initial meeting and afterwards, even had to follow up to get them to send me their bid. I found NextGen after googling and reading their reviews. I scheduled an in-home consultation. The first person I met with was Alex. First impressions - Alex arrived on time, and appeared extremely professional and personable. He took his time in that meeting to understand my goals, ideas, and budget. Alex said he would have the initial bid back to me in a week, and he hit that deadline. Next, I worked with Taylor and Rosa to discuss the design, layout, and make selections. Taylor is a pro, low-key, and unflappable. And Rosa's expertise helped guide me away from making some poor selections. Together, they made the design experience and collaboration a lot of fun. Next up, Daniel. He was the project manager who checked in as the work progressed. He made sure I was satisfied with everything. Finally, Austin - guy on the frontline doing the renovation work. I want to give Austin a big shoutout. He always arrived on time, hit his deadlines, paid close attention to details (the guy is particular). He even took care of my dog when I was away at the office. And his truck was always spotless. That may sound like an insignificant detail, however to me, a clean truck points to professionalism. Along the way, the NextGen crew discovered a few surprises that slightly increased my budget but nothing major. That's to be expected. Because of their quality work, I decided to have NextGen remodel my master bathroom and refinish the hardwoods. I have done a few positive reviews for various services in the past, but this is Unique in terms of our positive experience with Nextgen. For a project of this size and this duration, you always have some mismatches in "Expectations" and "Outcomes"; but, there is not a one letdowns that we could cite. Our project involved remodeling 13 year old master bathroom with a new one. It involved complete demolition and remodeling with modern amenities. We conceived the project in May of 2021 based on a positive reference of Nextgen from one of our neighbors. From our sketchy ideas, Nextgen guided us thru all the steps leading to a complete picture of how the ultimate project would look like with costs and schedule. I have to say that we are very satisfied with the outcomes and our expectations of Quality, Schedule, and Costs were exceeded. 1. QUALITY The approach taken was methodical in terms of site preparation, demolition, installation, and final checklist all with minute details and focus on quality. There is not a single item where we think the quality has been compromised. The site was maintained clean through out the duration. 2. SCHEDULE The project started on Sept 1 and completed on October 22nd as scheduled. We added several extra items, but surprisingly they were able to stick to committed schedule. 3. COSTS There has not been a single Change Order from the contracted work. Nextgen was very responsive on our requests for additional work at an agreed cost adder. This was a totally stress free project for us. I have gone through multiple projects during my professional career and projects at home, but this was Unique. Nextgen has very young management but has very talented, focused, and committed team. Lastly but importantly, we thank Austin Bains who led the project from day one till the completion. Very professional, courteous, and quality conscience. Having worked almost 2 months with us, he has become a family member. We have started missing him. We wish him the best in his future endeavors. We cannot say enough about Nextgen Remodeling and the amazing job they did on our bathroom. From the initial home visit with Taylor and Alex, picking out materials with quality vendors, the work that Curtis and John did throughout the project, and the final walk-through with Taylor, the quality of care we received was unparalleled. 5 years ago, we had our master bath shower remodeled by a large company and we've regretted it ever since. When we came across Nextgen Remodeling we jumped at the chance to work with a small, local business who would deliver quality service and stand by their work 100%. We had direct contact with owner Taylor, who was in charge of our timeline and making sure we had all the necessary materials, as well as Curtis, who was the Project Manager on our job. Curtis, and amazing assistant John, worked on our job non-stop for 2 weeks. They were professional and trustworthy and became part of our daily routine (even our dog, Zoe, would sit at the front window and wait for them to arrive in the morning). Our situation was a bit unique since this remodel took place during the Covid-19 pandemic, but we would not have done anything differently. Curtis and John were diligent about practicing social distancing and disinfecting surfaces throughout the entire project. Our family felt safe and comfortable with them during our project and would welcome them back into our home any time. We could not be more pleased with our new kitchen remodel, thanks to NextGen. From our first meeting to envision what it might be to the final walk-through, the NextGen team treated us with respect and friendliness. They listened to our design ideas instead of trying to steer us toward something we didn't want. We have a 100+ lb. chocolate lab named Cooper who was "home" during most of the renovation. He likes to supervise any human activity and is quite friendly. Ryan, one of the superb technicians on the NextGen team, made instant friends with our dog and made it possible for us to have Cooper home instead of boarding him while the workers were there. One of NextGen's values is making sure their customers don't settle for second best. Many times during the course of the renovation, they would check in with us to make sure everything was perfect, that we were satisfied. When one of our appliances wasn't working out in the space as we thought it would, Taylor switched it out with something better to make sure we were satisfied. Jeremy, the project manager, reinstalled cabinet doors to make sure they matched the other doors in the kitchen. We spent extra money to have a unique full wall backsplash of marble tile. NextGen hired the perfect tile company to make that backsplash shine. When our flooring didn't work out the way we had hoped, NextGen connected us with a great hardwood floor company that installed an even better product than we originally had. We had a big job that consisted of an entire kitchen, bathroom, and laundry room remodel. Initially we were concerned since we worked from home during the project, having people in and out of our home might be a hassle. We met with a few remodel companies. We sat down with NextGen, Taylor and Alex about the project, we immediately knew we would be in good hands. This company is very trustworthy, and did everything they promised, you can tell they are passionate about their business. Daniel the project manager and crew showed up on time every single day (3 month project,) they were very respectful, and even cleaned up every evening before they left. The quality of their work was amazing, we have been blown away by the outcome. The craftmanship has been extreme high quality, we had a challenging water pipe in our kitchen that could not be moved, Daniel the project manager installed our kitchen cabinets around this area, and you would never know it was there. He even built a custom shelf so we could use the space for storage. There isn't anything he can't do, he is so talented! Austin did an excellent job with the electrical work, he even lined up our canned lights perfectly and created a 3 way switch for our under and above cabinet lighting. Jon worked so hard taking out our old floors, and patching all of the drywall. Everything is flawless! We finally have our dream home we have always wanted! We contracted with NextGen Remodeling for a redo of our master bathroom. What a fantastic experience! We will certainly use them again the next time we need remodeling or renovation work done. After realizing we never used the tub in our bathroom and having a need for a larger more accessible and updated shower as well as a second vanity, we decided to have the work done. I did a lot of research on remodeling companies in the area and became convinced that NextGen Remodeling would do an outstanding job for us. I was not wrong!  We initially met with Alex and then Taylor to discuss our needs and wants. Not everything we wanted was going to be so easy to make happen, but the team came up with creative solutions to give us the bathroom we dreamed of. Austin was assigned to our project which lasted about six weeks. Austin is one of the hardest workers I have ever witnessed. His attention to detail was amazing. He settles for nothing less than perfection. I was blown away by his work ethic and how neat and clean he left our home each evening. The quality of the sub contractors were also impressive from painters to tile setters to granite and glass fabrication and installation. If I could give NextGen 10 stars I would. This is not the first remodeling project I have ever had done, but it was by far the best quality and best experience. My wife and I work in Real Estate and we so often hear people say they are happy with their remodel, but..... At some point they felt they had to compromise on at least one component whether it be timing, quality, communication, professionalism, or expectations. We have ourselves felt that way on prior projects. With NextGen there were no "buts" and we never felt we were compromising on anything. They exceeded our expectations at every turn. They have a process, everyone has a role, the communication is frequent and consistent, and they stayed on pace the whole time to the schedule we were given before the project started. 5 stars is not enough for how we feel about our remodel (50% of our house) done by Taylor and the guys of NextGen. We did a full master bath and kitchen remodel along with new railings throughout, 50% of the house interior painted, new mantel and built in's in the living room, walnut counters and matching floating shelves in the bar, and a new walk in pantry. Professional, hardworking, great communicators are just to name a few things about these guys. We started our project on January 26, 2020, and somehow amidst the all the chaos during this time, we were only 1 1/2 weeks over the deadline which is unbelievable. They are by far the nicest, cleanest, and most professional contractors I've ever worked with. We had an outstanding experience working with NextGen To renovate two bathrooms. From the initial quote to the final product, they were very responsive. Austin worked so hard day in and day out and always kept us up to date on where things stood. He is incredibly detail oriented and really made sure things were done well.
