This place is great!! Quick and friendly service at a reasonable price. I cracked my phone screen and called a bunch of places around town but the employee who answered the phone here was far and above the nicest and most helpful. When I took my phone in, I felt comfortable leaving my phone with them though I did choose to stay in the store and read a magazine while the screen was being fixed. To fix my iPhone 5s screen it was $85 though I used the 10% Yelp check in deal to off set the cost a bit. The employees are incredibly helpful and very kind. They have a plethora of knowledge about technology and are willing to share it with you whether or not you purchase a service from them. I called in to ask how much would it be to replace an iPhone 7 screen the guy on the phone told me 95. I drove down here and the guy at reception told me 115, but that since I had already been told 95 he would respect that price. Really nice guy, great customer service. I wouldn't give any stars but I have to out at least one to write this review. I cracked my screen on my iphone 6 like 4 weeks ago I had been meaning to fix it but hadn't had time I work a lot and need it. Finally I talk to this guy that's says he can fix it in 30 minutes I can sit and wait also will put gorilla tempered glass for $10 extra plus the cost to replace the screen I say ok. I go after work had to make some calls first then handed him my phone fully functional the LCD worked the digitizer the speakers the cameras EVERYTHING fully functional just the glass was cracked and yes it was shattered. He said he's seen worse it shouldn't be long. 40 minutes later he walks out the back room apologizes for the wait says the camera has smudges if I want him to clean it and wipe it down I say ok sure. He says ok 2 more minutes it's pretty much done let me wipe it down. 15 minutes later he walks out says my phone won't turn on!!!!! The mother board is cracked which is the brains of the whole phone. He says sometimes these things happen with delicate phones and that's there's nothing he can do. Wait wait wait WHAT??? He says he tried 3 screens and nothing I said what about my old one the broken one he says nope not even that one. So now my phone is fully dead lifeless motherboard damage and he said he didn't do it. That's risks happen opening it. But it was probably already damaged yet the phonies been working fine the whole time til he opened it.i was very upset would accept walking away it's $854 for that phone I'm not going to sweep it under the rug I work hard for my things. He says he's sorry I said this so unfair he notices I am know about phones I explain if the motherboard had any kind of prior damage it would not of been working and he saw it wrking he even powered it off himself. He then sees I'm not going to let him BS me so he says ok I know this lady at verizon she's a supervisor and I can ask her to add insurance to your phone I'll take care of it and we can out a new screen on it and turn it in as being defective....... (Someone feels guilty) I said ok I don't care how but we need to make this right he says I don't . Want u to think I broke ur phone I said you did I brought it in fully functional and now it's dead lifeless. Mother board damage the screen and mother board have nothing to do with each-other. He says I'll try to get you a loaner phone and iphine too I'll talk to her give me til 7 pm I say ok so I leave and get his cell number to make a long story short he is BSing me never found a loaner phone supposedly the lady keeps saying she's seeing what she can do it's been almost 24 hours not of BSing me so now I am taking legal action I contacted Chula Vista police they advised me to seek legal council took his info said to file a claim at the court house . I am giving him til 5 pm or I am telling my lawyer to move forward. This so u fair I went to pick up my phone and it's dead and the screen is in worse condition than when I brought it in there's holes by the home button and it's just worse than it already was. He acts nice like he's goign to help then lies now he's saying he's trying to help me out Hellooooo Danny you broke my phone you are responsible and I've shared this on Facebook and 5 ppl have contacted me saying he has damaged their devices 3 were screen repairs Wow I wish I never went there. But he will be hearing from my lawyer I gave him a chance to fix it more than enough time now he's saying he is doing me a favor?!!! I'm done waiting I'm meeting with my lawyer at 5pm. If you guys take your devices here be careful I wouldn't want anyone to go through this experience!!!!!! Oh and BTW he only has a lot of good reviews cause he gives a discount to post a positive review so of course ppl will write great things on here maybe some are real but how would this page really look if he wasn't offering a discount for a Yelp review?!! read more

Worse repair you can possibly go to. This is my story. My galaxy s4 lcd screen broke one night. I went to couple places to try to get it fixed but couldn't find an affordable place. Until i decided to look in yelp. Came across next gen phone repair. As i walked in, Danny, which is the phone repair guy and store owner and or manager greeted me. I explain how i dropped my phone and needed a new lcd screen. He check it out and said he's seen worse and no problem. He can have it fixed in 4 days. And let me tell you everything was working fine in my phone and i tell you because he put a screen on at the moment to make sure everything was function correctly before he ordered any parts. 4 days later i get a call saying my phone is ready for pick up. So not 1 day of having my phone back my phone's screen turns black. I go back the next morning and he says he will order me another screen in addition waiting for 7 more days. In which this case it was frustrating. I stated that i needed my phone back asap due to business related if not i would want a refund and go somewhere else. He was kind enough to give me a loaner phone which really wasn't a big help because i had all my notes in my original phone. Finally after 2 long weeks i get my phone, and sure enough 1 day later my screen starts to turn green this time. And to top it off my phone was getting really hot and my sd card slot wasn't working anymore which was working the first 2 attempts of fixing it. So after the 3rd time i ask for my money back which at first he didn't want too. But after going back and forth i stated im not doing business with this company anymore and i was going somewhere else and need my refund. After 1 month of dealing with this mess i got my refund and went somewhere else. And let me tell you, this other place got my lcd screen working in less than 2 days and still working 100% as of today. So im sorry but NEXT GEN WIRELESS REPAIR is definitely not a good place to go and need to stay away from. Well from my experience i am never going back and i highly do not recommend this place at all! That is my reason for giving 1 star. read more

Got a new phone for Christmas and only 3 short months later cracked the screen. BUMMER! Oh well, I'll get it fixed. Took it in and they said they'd send it out for repair. Over a week later they called and said it was ready for pickup. When I picked it up, they told me the screen they used to fix it was probably defective and it didn't work. Why was I even picking it up!? They sent it back and tried another screen. Over a week later, they got it back this time with no screen and said they couldn't fix it. Almost 3 weeks with no phone! So I decided to send it to Motorola for repair and knew they would want the original broken parts. Next gen could not provide me with any. I tried sending the phone in to Motorola but they couldn't do anything for me because the screen was gone. Now I'm short $400 because I have to buy a new phone. If I would have sent it to Motorola they could have repaired it for $100 or less instead, next gen cost me a nearly brand new phone. Totally disappointed! Call your cell phone manufacturer before going here. Fix at your own risk!! read more

I took my cell phone there couple days ago to get it repaired. Power button issue. My phone would turn on briefly after putting in the battery. When i got my phone back it would not turn on at all only when i plugged it in the USB cord. And then i would get colored specks all over my screen and it would turn on and turn off constantly. I went back and told the guy my issue. HE said it was like that when i turn it in to him. When i last viewed my phone it NEVER GAVE me that issue and i told him if that's the case why did he NOT inform me about that issue. and he replied with that all i ask him to do was the power button and thats what he did. My phone wont turn on at all unless plugged so i call that bullshit what he said. I went in three times and still nothing. He told me if i leave my phone he would look at it and it would be the first one done the next morning! So i left it there over night and my husband had surgery the next day so i was unable to come in till the day after and when i did come in the phone still made no process and i was told if i want to leave it again. I came all the way there three times and i never received a call that it made no progress and i came in for nothing. The business should at least called me instead of me wasting my time and gas to drive all the way there . 20 min drive from my house. So i took my phone back. WORST condition from when i dropped it off. No refund. Nothing. SO if you have money laying around and want to throw it away come to this business. WORST SERVICE I EVER HAD!!!!!! SUPER unhappy. Reason why i choose to come here was because it had good reviews. I had such a bad experience here and out of pocket $50 with still no phone to use. read more

I walked into Next Gen under the impression that the LCD on my Galaxy S5 was broken and I was prepared to pay the $200+ to fix it. My insurance deductible was $200 and 3 other places had quoted me over $200 to fix it. At that moment I was phoneless. I was greeted by Danny, I told him what was wrong with my phone, he explained the process of fixing the LCD and we talked about the phone for a few minutes. Long story short, he opened up my phone and found that a wire was loose and there was no problem with the LCD at all. He charged me $60 to fix it and it was ready in 35 minutes. I was very impressed with how knowledgeable Danny is and how fast my phone was ready. But more than anything, I am impressed by his honesty. He very easily could have ripped me off(cause I was prepared to spend that $200 to save my phone,and he knew that!) But he didn't. He saved me money and time and he did it in a VERY professional, friendly, honest and trustworthy manner.
