There have been no crime(s) here that I am aware of since moving in. The management is quick to respond to reported issues and are always friendly. My neighbors have been quiet and people generally keep to themselves. No crazy drama going on outside either. The buildings are well maintained. They plow snow, cut the grass...etc etc...If you have a problem in the apartment, let them know and they will send someone out the next business day. (they have people available for emergencies of course..) It isn't the most fancy place you can find, but I think they are decent enough. They have pay laundry rooms in each building, a bit of room for storage in the basement areas. (Figure about another 20 dollars per month for this..) Heat / hot water is included in the price of rent, this is a good value. You pay for electric. (60-100 a month in my experience...) Traffic in and around the area isn't too bad, but you should learn some back roads during the Christmas time! Mall traffic is crazy on 202. Well worth checking out!

It's located in a quiet and beautiful neighborhood, and it feels rather safe as well. Maintenance is usually quick and easy - all I need to do is to write an email about the issue and couple of days later I come home to find the issue resolved. It's got secured building entrance, but package delivery is right to my door. Staffs are really nice although I don't really find the need to talk to them much. There are more than enough parking spots for both the tenants and guests. The lovely little pool could be an addition, if I loved water (and I don't). Another perk is free heating, not sure if that's standard in the area but there's big savings during Pennsylvania winters. As for downsides, there really isn't anything major to complain about, considering the price. Shared laundry, spotty wireless signal (I'm AT&T), monopoly of Xfinity internet, plain design and decoration, and that's about it. The storage might be a bit tight but for a guy it has been quite enough. So overall, it's totally worth the price. And they allow cats!

The keypads on the exterior doors are also unreliable, and on multiple occasions, I or other residents have been locked out of the building due to malfunctioning systems. Management is difficult to get in touch with, and communication is inconsistent at best. One of the most frustrating aspects of living here has been the lack of transparency around fees, especially during lease renewals. Charges are not always clearly broken down in the resident portal, and trying to get clarification often leads to unhelpful or dismissive responses. There are definitely better-managed and more reliable options in the area.

I have been complaining about the noise. Nothing has been done. This started in September/ October. She over talked me and gave me professional jargan they teach at all corporate enterprises. Not a safe place to live, or clean. They had the nerve to raise the rent in a building with roaches and mice. Don't respond to emails. Said there's only two maintenance men. Then told me hey manager left for the day or went to lunch. Seems like with it being short staffed. You wouldn't be leaving work early on a Monday if you have over 5 hundred apartments and hardly any staff. When I first moved here it was fine. But they don't care about the safety of the residents or living in a peaceful environment. They don't fix things properly or in a timely manner. Then when do the bare minimum. They say we'll we got you weekly pest control. I had to tell them I shouldn't have to call or message every week for pest control. When you know there's mice and roaches. Still have yet to explain why my rent is 1500... A month went to $1900. Never a break down or documentation on how these fees were accrued or adjudicate.

Since then they've removed the locks on the back doors so the whole building can be accessed. Plumbing is always an issue we constantly had our toilet, tub, and kitchen sink all clogged at the same time which lead to other peoples fecal matter clogging our tub. Maintenance guys were always nice but we never got an apology from the leasing office. Constant roaches in the lobby, inconsistent updates about parking lot maintenance which led to tenants having their cars towed, this place felt the opposite of home and I will happily be leaving. Our concerns are not about being denied, we understand that every property has its own screening criteria, but about how the application process was handled. After submitting our application, we spent over two weeks repeatedly calling and emailing the leasing office for updates. We were told multiple times that no one knew why our application had been denied, leaving us in limbo while trying to secure housing. It was only after numerous follow-ups that we finally received an explanation. I want to recognize Christyna, who was polite, respectful, and professional throughout our interactions. She always treated us courteously, even during a frustrating situation. However, our experience with Marquetia was very different. When we raised concerns about the lack of communication, we received an email that was defensive and dismissive instead of addressing the issues we had experienced. Rather than acknowledging our concerns, the response included statements such as, "our office and its employees should not be held accountable for the poor planning on anyone else's behalf," claimed there was "a lack of communication amongst the applicants regarding personal finances," and ended with "I will not be addressing any further communications." We found those comments to be inappropriate and inconsistent with the level of professionalism we expected after simply raising concerns about our experience. Communication, transparency, and professionalism are essential during an apartment application process, especially when applicants are making time-sensitive housing decisions.

There are several long term residents in the building so it does feel like a community living here and the building is very quiet. The building was built back in the 1960's so it is well constructed and has great soundproofing. The grounds are well maintained and the community is convenient to the Blue Route and Penna Turnpike. The building recently added a fitness room which has some good equipment in it and is almost never used.

Often times they say that they have already completed your request for maintenance and they have not. The front office does not answer your calls. I will continue my lease until it is up, but renewing will not be an option. They have now added on additional fees that were never added on before. We pay for water and sewage and trash and other additions like insurance and property fees that were not originally a part of the leasing agreement. Last, but not least, we lose water often, trash shoots are shut down, and security is a joke. You can get into the doors without any key or fob.
