Long Long overdue review - I first came to chirosport in 2019 after a misdiagnosis (potential…read moredegenerative disc disease) and was desperate for relief from what eventually was discovered to be sciatica. As a rec league hooper/softball player, I was miserable and considering retirement. I had never experienced chiropractic care, so I was a bit skeptical but willing to try anything. After the course of about 4 months and maybe 6-8 adjustments (sorry I can't remember exactly) and I have been practically pain free. Now disclaimer: doc is absolutely amazing and emailed me some great stretches that I still routinely do to keep my sciatica away or minimal so managing my pain has been a long term commitment that I am happy to do. Fast forward to 2025, I've since picked up golf which comes with a whole new set of aches/pains and I revisited Chirosport due to some nagging neck and shoulder numbness/pain that I couldn't shake. aAfter a few sessions and I am pain free (well, as much as an active 43 year old can be) and I've now incorporated a monthly visit for wellness care. *Bonus- book a pressure point massage after your adjustment that is offered on site on select days with Mike! This has been a whole new game changer! Thank you to the ChiroSport team for keeping me in the game!!!!!

I typically get sports massage and deep tissue work, and Mike absolutely delivers. My only wish is that they offered longer sessions -- the 30-minute massage feels like a tease because it's that good! The only downside is that the clinic doesn't offer many massage-only package options. Currently, you have to combine chiropractic care and other modalities to book a massage with Mike. It would be amazing if they offered more flexible massage-only packages, as I would definitely come even more often.

So, after having been to the DMV three or four times trying to get a Real ID, I was positive I…read morefinally had all the documentation I needed this time. I had already previously uploaded all the documents and waited for the DMV confirmation that everything had been received and approved. Then I had one DMV employee say one of the documents that other employees (the online verifier and another in-person employee on a previous day) had previously OK'd wasn't OK, and I needed something else to prove I live where my current license and DMV records already say I live. So I made sure to bring extra documentation just in case they have an problem with the new ones I'm bringing. Then on my last attempt, we finally get through the entire process of the DMV employee verifying everything, and she's about to finish, and she asks for my medical. And my heart sinks into my stomach as I realize I had forgotten my DOT medical form. They didn't ask you to upload it with everything else, so I wasn't reminded to add it to my huge pile of documents. and I left it at home in my haste just to get this done. I had never gotten to the end of the process before, so I had never been asked to provide it, or I would have been sure to bring it. And wouldn't you know in the time that elapsed since I started the process to when I finally was beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel, I needed to have my DOT medical updated. So I guess it's just as well that I had forgotten it. As I walk out of the DMV feeling defeated yet again, I decide I'll look to see if there's anyone open that can do a DOT medical exam that same afternoon. I call around. Lots of places are closed due to COVID-19. The guy I used to use, a chiropractor in the East Bay (cheap, but made you wait for hours in a super crowded building that probably would work very well in the age of COVID) apparently disappeared a few months earlier. (There were no very recent Yelp or Google reviews, his phone was disconnected, and people were asking if anyone knew where he was or what happened to his business.) The handful of places that are open are either walk-in with long waits or appointment-based with no availability for a day--or many days. And the ones that could see me same day--or same week--including my own insurance provider, are $120-200+. No thanks. As I'm frantically searching and calling around, the hope within me fading with every call I make, this listing keeps coming up for a chiropractor in downtown Hayward. And he's got lots of great reviews, including from people who just needed DOT physicals. It's mid afternoon, and I figure what's it going to hurt to ask? So I call. And Dr Berman answers. And he says he closes at 6PM, but if I can leave now, he'll see me. It's just he in a little old house on the corner that's been converted into an office with parking in the back. I get there around 5:30PM, and in 20 minutes, I have my precious forms, which he has already electronically submitted to the DMV for $70 out the door. It's not as cheap as my old guy, but I didn't have to wait 3 hours either. I spend the time I saved with my wife and kids bonding over board games that evening. And the next day I finally get through the DMV with no hassles. Thanks, Dr. Berman.

I'm so very disappointed with them. I went in to update my DOT Medical Card. Everything went well…read moreand fast. Paid $100 for them to send to the DMV, so I didn't have to wait all day at DMV. Got an email from DMV an hour after stating I'm missing signatures. I went back to sign the paperwork and was told the problem should be fixed. I talked with dmv and they stated non of the paperwork was sent. I emailed the doctor the problem and Dr. Berman said it was not his problem to fix and to go to the dmv. By law it is your responsibility. I was shocked! Like why did I pay the $100 just for them to mess up! This is not right! You pay someone to do it right! So now I have to go to the DMV and waste probably my whole day because this doctor messed up.
