I'm really disappointed with my experience here. I was referred to Olivia, who seemed kind and professional, but she didn't end up doing my nails. Instead, I was assigned to someone on their first day--which I was open to. Unfortunately, the very next day, two of my gel nails broke. As someone new to gel nails, I wasn't sure if that was normal, so I called the salon hoping they would simply fix them. Instead, I spoke with Tim, who was quite rude and dismissive. Rather than addressing the issue, he offered me 50% off a future service, when all I wanted was for my nails to be repaired. Customer service really matters, especially when something goes wrong. This experience left a bad impression, and I'll be finding another salon that stands behind their work and treats clients with care. Tim--kindness goes a long way. read more

There is no better nail salon in the Anaheim Hills/Yorba Linda area. The staff is amazing and helpful. The owners are always around and are super welcoming. The aesthetic of the salon is very nice and TV is always on showing something entertaining if you're not in the talking mood. Prices are average for the area, you get excellent quality and service. She is easy to communicate with and super funny. Anh is great at pedicures and she's a pro at getting out ingrown toenails! Don't overlook Nexus Nails as it's in a very unassuming plaza! I came here Saturday around 9:30 and was honestly surprised at how crowded it was already so early on, so I highly recommend making an appointment first. My first impression of the spa was that it was well maintained and spacious, which I loved. Nothing more not relaxing than being in a super cramped place! Olivia did my nails and Emi did my pedicure, both of whom did a fantastic job! From what I could hear, everyone seemed to be super friendly and accommodating. I absolutely LOVE Nexus. The nail techs are transparent with the pricing and are all very knowledgeable about each service and recommending which is best for you. They always do a beautiful job and I don't get my nails done anywhere else! They do not mind if you ask them to file your nails a little extra and they are sure to ask that you like the shape after filing so they can make adjustments. This location is good when you can make an appointment with the nail technician your requesting. Today, for the third time this year, the lady taking appointments (Olivia) failed to assign the person I requested. So, what's the purpose of taking appointments if your not going to accommodate your customer! I will definitely not be coming to this location any longer. It's to bad since it's in my neighborhood. I'd rather make the extra drive for better service! June 11th 2024 Had an appointment at 10:30 for a pedicure. Sat with my feet in the water until 11:05 and still no one available. Because I had another appointment, I had to leave without any service. Most definitely will not be coming back here because this isn't the first time they can't keep the scheduled appointment. I wish I liked this place because it's in such a convenient location... but made my appointment at 5pm.. they started my toes around 5:30 and they didn't start my hands until closer to 6pm. The girl who did my nails was ok but she took about 30 minutes to just remove my acrylic nails. Gentleman who did my toes seemed new, so he asked for help which is fine but the lady who took over was so rough on my feet. Service wasn't really there and they don't take your appointment time serious. This is the second time they've delayed my appointment by almost an hour. Also, they use very old and dirty towels and the tools are all mixed together. Cleanliness is just not there either unfortunately. read more

I should have taken the negative reviews here more seriously. I'm a dude and this was my first time getting a mani and pedi so I kept asking questions about what was normal. Through that I found that just about everything they did was wrong. I called and made an appointment but when I got there they helped someone else out first and asked me to wait because she had an appointment. I told them that I thought I did too. Then I overhear that customer say thank you for taking her last minute... I asked for my fingernails to be pointy but even after three separate people told my nail tech that, she could not understand or refused to. So instead of mountain peaks I got almonds. (I had previously looked up an image and showed it to them so I don't understand the confusion.) Then I asked if nail polish usually covers the edges. Apparently they do and most of my edges weren't done even after two coats. So they tried to fix it but honestly I'm probably gonna have to pay for someone else to fix them. That said the actual cut itself wasn't done well or uniformly or clean. My toenails were mostly fine but cut way shorter than I would have liked and the big toenails were cut tremendously narrow which is dangerous for me as I have a history of ingrown toenails. The worst part was that after they cut my nails everyone just walked away without saying anything so I sat there like a dum-dum until I asked if nail polish was included. The whole ordeal took almost three hours. I had to cancel plans. There is a nail salon on just about every corner around here. Go somewhere else. Literally anywhere else. read more

Update: exactly one week later I have NO more nails. They all chipped and lifted and peeled off after spending $65 and two sessions. So I've been coming here for a while on and off when I'm in the area for work or pleasure. I usually have a great experience. This time I got my normal gel pedicure (which was great, no complaints there) and a dip manicure. We (myself and the nail artist) decided on a design and she actually chose it from my Pinterest page. $65 later - just for my manicure, $110 in total. She had cut two of my fingers pretty bad with the nail file, but whatever - it happens. My final nails WERE flawless. Within three days one of them completely chipped. Whatever, it happens. I went and got it fixed. She did graciously fix it BUT she filed my down completely and way shorter then the other nails when it never broke... just the polish on top did. Then today, now 6 days out - the neighboring nail has chipped and the rest of my nails are not sealed properly from the tip of my nail to the dip on top. Needless to say I'm very disappointed and waisted a lot of money for these not to last. read more

I want to start by saying I have been coming here for a while and have had an overall a good experience and have walked our happy every time and for that reason I am giving a 3 stars instead of a 1 because this past experience was terrible but I have had an overall good experience here. Crystal did my nails last time and I was so so happy I wanted her again but she was unavailable so I had someone else do my nails. Never again making this mistake. I wish I waited a few days when crystal was available instead of getting them done cuz I had a terrible experience. Terrible work. I am so disappointed. Paid $60 for the messiest acrylics. Not only did I ask the guy doing my acrylics to be more gentle many times while he was working on my nails cuz he kept hurting me and making me bleed, he ignored me and kept going carelessly. Based on the reviews that mentioned cleanliness and efficiency, I decided to try this salon. When I called, the receptionist was friendly and gave me an appointment for 10:30 am since they were busy when I wanted to come. Upon arrival, I only had to wait about 5 minutes to be seated in a pedicure chair and for a nail technician to come start the water for the foot bath. They use a bag in the bowl for cleanliness. Ann did my pedicure and she was very thorough and careful. My toenails look absolutely beautiful due to her patience and attention to detail. Her leg and foot massage was very relaxing and felt great after exercising and having sore legs. Thank you, Ann! Based on the reviews, I was under the impression that my nails would be done at the same times as my toenails. However, every time someone freed up, they took someone else. When Ann was completely finished, I asked who was doing my nails and she asked the lady with whom I had checked into the salon for my appointment. They ended up seating me at the table in the center to have my nails done separately and when I sat in front of the gentleman who I thought they had said would do my nails, he stood up and left! Maybe there was some confusion due to the language barrier -- I'll give him the benefit of the doubt that perhaps he does not do nails? Ladies kept looking at me and talking to each other and when I asked again if someone was coming, one responded "soon". I almost left because I didn't know how much longer the wait would be and had another engagement afterwards (which is why I had called for an appointment) but thankfully just as I was about to go home to do my fingernails myself, Kelly came and sat down to do my nails. Kelly was also very gentle and efficient and she only nipped one of my cuticles once. Her massage was also nice and my fingernails look beautiful so thank you! The m/p was $42 but make sure you bring cash for a tip as they did not let me pay tip on my credit card. Thankfully, even though I do not usually carry any cash, I had some on me this morning so I was able to pay for the m/p on my card and leave a tip for Ann and Kelly in cash. Overall a very clean location, large windows for natural light, and I enjoyed watching the adventure travel and food shows on television as I waited. If you're in a hurry I would recommend waiting as my visit today took over an hour but if you have time it's a good salon and I would come again in the future. read more

I only gave this place a shot because my partner was getting his eyes checked across the street. Came here for a pedicure and made an appointment online. 1. Their practices aren't very clean. My nail tech did not wear gloves. All of the white towels he used on me had stains. He kept splattering water all over me while he was drying his own hands off. He hung the warm towel on the side of his cart before putting it on me... just everything was gross. Chairs are outdated as well. 2. I asked for crystal cat eye. I asked for a specific purple color and they kept putting the wrong color on me... guess someone put the wrong color in the wrong box. 3. He originally didn't do the crystal cat eye effect, he did the normal type (if that makes sense). I had to correct him and tell him that wasn't what I wanted. He clearly didn't know how to do it, so I asked him to do the normal type instead... he didn't listen and continued to try. I asked him several times to just do the normal. I guess he misunderstood and didn't finish the rest of my feet. At this point, im very frustrated. They ended up getting a new nail tech to fix it for me. Just opted for regular cat eye cause I give up. She was kind though and did a good job. 4. He also dropped the bottle of lotion on me while he was applying it lol. All in all, I wouldn't come back here and I would never recommend this spot. My nails look decent, but geez it was a terrible journey haha. This place is the cutest, love the decor, really gives me the Abbot Kinney St. feel and looks. Marble and gold accents. Super clean and very posh. All the spas had liners and they added essential oils in all the spa bins (major plus for me), the scents instantly eased my stress and was a great added touch to this experience. Prices were more than fair, and service was great! Staff was super nice and I'm assuming it was the owner I was speaking too during my visit, and he was extremely kind and helpful. They have an ARRAY of options for gel which was really nice, definitely coming back here for their gel builder option and gel colors & designs they offer here!
