Dear Management at Lavender Nail Salon, I am writing to formally complain about a distressing experience I had at your Yorba Linda location on June 15 at 9:15 AM. I was being assisted by a technician named Tammy for a pedicure. Before the service even began, she clipped me so deeply that I began bleeding heavily. Rather than being apologetic, Tammy started screaming at me. When I asked her to calm down and stop yelling, I simply requested a Band-Aid. I was shocked to learn that your salon did not have a first aid kit available. Furthermore, a coworker attempted to apply an unlabeled green liquid from a bottle to my injury, which I had to refuse for my own safety. While Tammy stated that "accidents happen," the lack of a basic first aid kit and the unprofessional, aggressive behavior I encountered are completely unacceptable for a business with such high reviews. This experience was deeply upsetting and ruined my day. I believe every business should be equipped with proper medical supplies and treat their customers with respect, especially when an injury has occurred. I hope you take this feedback seriously to ensure this does not happen to anyone else.

From the moment I walk in, I'm greeted with big smiles and positive energy by Coco, Jennifer, and my favorite nail techs: Heidi, Hollie, Kathy, and sometimes Thi. The vibe is always upbeat and welcoming, and it instantly lifts my spirit every single time. Now let me brag a little about Heidi--she is my go-to girl for my nails and has been from day one. Her attention to detail, consistency, and the care she puts into her work is unmatched. I literally moved away over 14 months ago and still make the 40-minute drive just to see her. That's how amazing she is! If she weren't the best from the very beginning, I honestly would've never returned. She makes me feel seen, valued, and pampered every single time. Took my daughter here to get her nails done before her first day of school and the lady who did her pedicure cut her cuticles so short that it caused her to get infections in both of her big toes. See pictures below. Do not go here for any service. I will be seeking a refund and compensation for any medication she will need.

BEST NAIL SALON!! I almost want to gate keep so that they don't get to busy, but they deserve their flowers. Great service!! Great equipment that has quality! Clean and serviced immediately. Honestly, I'm very disappointed with this salon, especially considering its high ratings. My mom and my 5-year-old niece came in for a basic manicure. When they explained the services they wanted, the staff seemed noticeably less interested once they realized there wasn't a pedicure included. They were told there would be a 20-minute wait. A short time later, another customer walked in and requested multiple services. She was taken immediately, while my mom and niece continued to wait. Whether intentional or not, it came across as rude and as though customers requesting smaller services were treated as less important. Unfortunately, it left a very negative impression. read more

This salon is the closest to my house and so popular, which is why I keep giving it another chance, but this visit reminded me why I need to stop. I came in for a pedicure and made it very clear that callus removal was my top priority. I even offered to pay for an add on if needed, but it was barely done. I also asked for short nails, and they still ended up longer than I wanted. The overall atmosphere always feels chaotic and rushed, and they consistently seem to run behind. I really wanted this experience to be different, but I left disappointed again. read more

I've been coming to this place for 4+ years! I had to write a review this time because i went to another salon that butchered my nails and went straight to Lavender (within the same week) who redid them for me perfectly! Everyone does an amazing job but Personal Favs are Joe and Hazel! They never disappoint and always come through. I came to Lavender Nails after getting my nails done at another salon. I was referred by My daughter's Teacher because a simple design couldn't be done at the previous salon. Well not only did Lavender Nails fit me in,in a timely manner! Joe perfected my nail design. Everyone was so nice! I will definitely be back! I also got a pedicure and Nikki was great. I have never had a manicure where the technician did not apply lotion and didn't provide a massage. I have has powder nail manicures in several salons all over the country & on cruise ships. I was told the owner does not allow it. Very disappointing customer care read more

First time here! I called ahead to see if they had a dip color I was wanting to try. They looked for it and confirmed before hanging up with me, I really appreciated that. Zan did my nails and did a great job! I love that she got as close to the cuticle line, they look just like I wanted. Even though they were very busy, they still took us and I love that I got to sit next to my sister and catch up while doing our nails together. I plan to return! read more

I've been here a couple times and both times had bad experiences. The staff is incredibly rude. You walk in and they don't greet you, they don't ask politely for anything ("WATER" asking you to put your foot back into the soaking tub), and to top it off, they do a mediocre job. I've had acrylics and a pedicure there and hated how it both turned out. The worst party of all, I saw the woman next to me with awful fungus infected toenails getting a pedicure! She should have been turned away. It was so disgusting and unsanitary. Chunks of rotting fungus toenail flying everywhere. I almost ran out. Never again will I return! read more

Terrible salon that cannot handle the pressure of a busy salon. The minute they get busy they work on nails so fast not taking their time that resulted in painful bleeding. I came as a walk in on a busy Friday afternoon and was cut a total of THREE TIMES. Neither KIM or MOON acknowledged cutting me and I had to remind them both to please take their time and be careful. You guys honestly didn't deserve my tip for such poor attention to detail. read more

I got my nails done a week ago and i've already been back three different times to get broken ones fixed. After coming back for the third time they didn't offer a new set, all they did was fix the nail again. So upsetting that a solid color is $65. read more

My wife's skin was actually getting worse. Tamara sold her some very expensive product and hard-sell pressured her to buy more when she was still using the first batch. When it became apparent that the skin was not going to improve with that product, we tried to return the unopened batch and request something different. Not only would she not refund any of our money for the purchase we didn't even want in the first place, she blamed my wife for it not working! She refused to consider that the treatment might need to be modified. This is very poor business practice, very poor customer service, and she does not deserve to steal your hard-earned money the way she stole ours. My response to Tamara's response: your blatant mischaracterization of my message is consistent with your disrespectful treatment of my wife and does not surprise me in the least. I did not ask for money in exchange for changing a review. My beef with you is that you pressured my wife into buying something she didn't want and then you refused to allow her to return it for a refund. If you need more information to figure out which customer she was, that only proves that you have done this to others as well and is your common practice. What I said to you was that, if you were willing to reconsider allowing us to return the product for a refund, as you should have already done, I'd be willing to update the review accordingly. This is not a request of payment for a service. This is asking you to return the money you stole from us. I would report you to the better business bureau but it seems you are not a member.

I reached Mirako Spa in Brea for my facial appointment exactly 3 mins late. A lady who told me that…read moremy appointment was at 2:30pm. (I have attached text messages that my appointment was at 2:45pm). Upon showing the text message, she agreed that I was late by 3 mins. (+ 5 mins grace period). I was informed right away that I need to reschedule as I was late or cut down my facial time from 60mins to 40 mins. I should have arrived 15 mins before the appointment time. Therefore, my showing up delayed by 3 mins would delay the next client by 15 mins as they needed time to prepare for the next client! Math doesn't add up any way we look at it unless they had informed in advance to show up 15 mins before the appointment time, which they hadn't. 1. There was absolutely no notification or instruction provided to me about arriving 15 mins early before the appointment time at the time of making my appointment or text reminder. Therefore if one is late by less than. 10 mins, they lose their facial time by 20mins and are lashed out if clients try to reason out. I was told me to depart as I was 3 mins late or reduce my facial time by 20 mins. 2. Jenny, who came over from inside took over the conversation, was very unprofessional and rude. She argued with me for 15 mins non-stop when I tried to reason out that if I was late by 3 mins, if they wanted to be a stickler of time without informing me to arrive 15 mins early, they should take away 3 mins of my time not, 20 mins. She yelled at me saying "I don't want you to come here ever, I never want to give you service!". I don't understand how Mirako Spa even employs such people who are clueless about how to treat clients with courtesy, let alone working in a service industry. Here is the twist: when I checked in, another lady besides Jenny told me that my appointment was at 2:30pm, which their mistake to begin with as my appointment was at 2:45pm. It appears that they messed up with their own scheduling but because I was 3 mins late for my 2:45 appt, I bore the brunt of Jenny's unprofessional behavior as she couldn't admit that they had accidentally messed up scheduling my appointment. Instead she told me to leave or get a facial cut down by 20mins! I am attaching screenshots of my appointment time. As per Jenny, I should have a common sense to show up 15 mins before appointment time even though I wasn't informed about arriving early or else, appt that was anyway scheduled incorrectly by 15 mins sooner, from what I was notified. Try to avoid Jenny if you go to Mirako Spa in Brea, she can be scathing, unreasonable, and unprofessional. Try to reach 15 mins prior to your appointment even if they don't notify you.

This is my second time here and I will never come back again. I came in for a mani pedi and asked specifically for something very sparkly, and that was completely not delivered. I even showed her what I wanted on their sample nail rings, but she recommended something else, and me not wanting to discredit her professional experience I let her choose. Also, for my pedicure she was being extremely rough and even made me bleed and she just cleaned it up, smiling at me. I even made faces and kept pulling my foot back when she would hurt me, but nothing changed. Then, I asked for jewels. I love the feel of jewels on my nails, but Jennifer kept insisting that this and that were too big. I feel that it would have been much more beneficial if she could maybe show me some that she did approve of, then me showing her all of my choices and getting them turned down. She did mention just getting the design of a flower, but I really wanted the jewel. So now, I show them one that I hope is okay, and by this point I'm assuming they were tired of saying no to me, so they said okay to one I choose, which was literally like my 10th choice. I've been to other places and they just put some of the hardening powder on the big jewels and it sets. Here, they were using all sorts of different things and pressing down on my nail and it just looks terrible and my nail hurts from all the different things they put on top of it. Obviously not wanting to go through that again, I ask that on the other nail they do a marbling effect I saw on the sample ring. I don't have the sample ring anymore, because it was taken away after I chose my first color, so she tries to explain what I want. But we both had a hard time understanding each other. So, I state again, that I saw it on the sample ring and point to where they are, so that hopefully she will get it for me, but she just states she knows what I'm talking about. Finally, when she starts I notice that it's not what I was talking about at all. The style she was doing was not what I wanted. But I didn't want to complain and make her take off the color gel she had already set. However, she was having a hard time, so she kept getting up to ask her friend, but it wasn't working out for her. So Jennifer seeing this, gets annoyed with the worker and so just does it for me, but I could tell she did not want to and so she asks, "this is good right". I did not want to cause a scene or say anything negative at that moment. So I just shook my head. But it wasn't. I hated it so much, but I've been sitting in a chair for over an hour now, so I just wanted to leave. I've read a previous YELP review from Carol who understands Vietnamese that they talk badly about the customers, so every time I asked for something or they were doing something about my hands and then looking at my and talking to each other, all I could think is how they were talking badly of me, which made me feel even worse. I've NEVER wrote a bad review and I rarely complain or argue when it comes to service jobs, but I got in my car after my almost $70 mani/pedi and just started crying all the way home. I felt like they didn't listen to me at all, devalued and made me feel dumb for what I did want, and overall just made me feel worthless. I hated my nails so much, that I called another place so that they could scrub the gel off my nails. I spoke to some friends and family about it, and I had a few who have visited the establishment and they agreed that the workers are "fake nice", talk poorly about their customers, and that the color (even gel) chips easily. read more

A Public Service Announcement for Nail Lovers Everywhere‼ I've been getting my nails done since I was 15 -- so at this point, I'm pretty seasoned in the nail world. I've had plenty of technicians over the years, and one thing I've noticed is that some start off great but eventually get too comfortable and their work becomes half-hearted. That has never been the case with Heidi. From my very first appointment to now -- two or three summers later (we started in July, but don't ask me which year!) -- her work has stayed flawless, detailed, and consistent. My nails look beautiful every single time, and no matter where I go, people stop to compliment them. Heidi always makes sure I leave completely happy and satisfied, and I truly appreciate that. I've never once had to ask for anyone else -- I definitely found "the one" my nails were searching for. And then there's Zen, my pedicure queen. She's so detailed, patient, and gentle -- truly takes her time and makes sure everything is done right. I always leave feeling relaxed, refreshed, and beyond content. I drove 30 minutes to this salon because my friends in Irvine told me that if I wanted dip powder nails, I'd have to try out Lavender Nails. So....At the last minute before my flight, I requested an appointment the DAY before Thanksgiving and luckily they were able to accept my request. I had dip powder done with a pedicure (2 stylists at the same time) and the work was excellent. I flew to Hawaii for Thanksgiving, and by the time Christmas came around, my nails were still perfect and had NOT chipped anywhere. (See photos attached) In Hawaii, I was in the ocean, cooked, baked, chased after my 2 babies, washed tons of dishes... and 4 weeks later, at Christmas time, my nails were still fresh looking, no lifting, and no chipping, just outgrown. My 5 stars is in reference to a certain nail tech - Tilly. She has done my feet a few times and I love, love her. Her work is excellent, she knows nails and gives you the attention you deserve. This is my first time in here. I love the atmosphere at Lavender Spa & Salon. It was clean, relaxing and the ladies that work there are friendly. They carry a lot of polish and gel polish in here. I've had two girls working on me and they both were good and nice. I'm hard to please but this shop is one of the best in Yorba Linda! read more

I've been coming here for full acrylic sets and fills for a few years now. You can't beat the wonderful service and the amazing nail jobs. Great nail place in YL. It gets packed so come as soon as they open or make an appointment. Technicians are friendly too. One star docked because I thought it was very noisy inside and not as calming and relaxing as it could be. Overall, great place and I would visit again. read more
