One of the best experiences I had is when she did a slightly different adjustment to my neck using a specially made contraption to adjust. It was quite different but since that adjustment my neck needs very little when I go back. I've now had two massages with Jamie as well. Same as with the adjustment, she listens. That is so important. Often with the large chain massage therapy companies you will tell them what is going on but then they just do their massage routine and don't really hit the areas you indicated were an issue. In both of the massages with Jamie she worked on the areas of major concern and in so doing alleviated a lot of muscle pain and tension for me. I have some back issues and since the massages with her those problem spots have been much better. I will definitely keep going back to see Jamie for massage and chiro, she is awesome!

I no longer work at Bodyworkz, and I want to be transparent about why…read more I have reached a point where I can no longer continue working in an environment that I personally experienced as toxic, inconsistent, and punitive toward its massage therapists. When I had a legitimate medical emergency involving a severe migraine and vomiting, I went to urgent care, provided a doctor's note, and called out because I was physically unable to safely work. Instead of that being treated as a normal medical absence, my clients were moved to another therapist. I appreciated that they were able to be seen, but my schedule was then emptied for the following Monday, leaving me with only one client at the very end of my day. I experienced that as punishment for having a medical emergency. This was not the only issue that led to my decision. When I needed urgent dental care for an infected tooth, I was asked to give two clients massages before leaving at lunchtime, even though I had provided more than an hour of notice and was in significant pain. I declined because I needed medical care and was not able to function normally. I was told that clients are expected to provide 24-hour notice for cancellations, and I was questioned about why I should not have to do the same, despite the situation being a medical emergency. I was also pressured to provide the massages for free, which would have meant losing income while also giving away my services. I have also been required to give massages for free when front desk staff failed to tell me about an early client or failed to update my schedule. In addition, I was not paid for several clients who did not actually no-show because front desk staff had failed to collect or maintain their credit card information. These were administrative mistakes, but the financial consequences were passed on to me. Communication was also routinely inconsistent. Different therapists would be given different--and sometimes directly contradictory--information, leaving everyone confused about expectations and policies. I believe massage therapists deserve to be treated like skilled healthcare and wellness professionals. We deserve clear expectations, accurate pay, consistent communication, and the ability to be sick or have a medical emergency without fearing financial retaliation. I care deeply about my clients, which is why I chose to finish out my remaining scheduled time rather than simply walk away. They did nothing wrong, and I did not want them caught in the middle. But I will not continue sacrificing my health, my income, or my professional dignity to remain somewhere that operates this way. I am choosing to move forward and put my energy into building a practice rooted in respect, communication, ethical care, and the kind of environment I believe both therapists and clients deserve. The receptionist was always very nice and helpful - even when I had to reschedule at the very last minute, she was extremely courteous and set me up for another appt. The masseuse who loosened up the problem areas was also fantastic and professional. He never made me feel rushed or feel like he was only doing minimum standards. Dr. Miritello was awesome! He is personable, knowledgeable and also never made me feel rushed in between the numerous patients that he balances throughout his day. He always took the time to explain any procedures that he would do and why he needed to do them. Needless to say, after the adjustments that I received from Dr. Miritello I feel like I'm back to the way I was before I injured my neck/back area.
