When we hired Kunst for significant interior painting, we asked for one of the former Migale painters, and they were obliging. Kunst send a staff painter, Edgar, to do the work. The painting was top-flight. No big surprise here! Painting tape and painter's paper was everywhere. Then I looked. Not a single spill or wavy margin. This is the quality painting where you cannot tell if a wall or baseboard has been repainted - except that it now looks new again! The painter himself was super courteous, and did everything we asked - and more. For this kind of quality painting, the price was perfectly fair and reasonable. I cannot believe that in years past I hired painters who seemed competent, and charged less, only to find window panes with paint on them, and evidence everywhere of repainting. For those of you who know about matchless quality interior painting, okay, I am preaching to the choir. For those individuals who do not: this kind of painting (from companies like Kunst and Migale) is in another league, and if you can stretch your budget a bit, you will be amazed with the results.

He had good input about the color selection, the work was done properly, he and his helper cleaned up, and the price was reasonable. A couple of months ago, in barely more than half a day Aaron and his helper completed a long list of miscellaneous items that had been accumulating for well over a year! Everything was done, and done well, and Aaron came up with some very clever solutions for a couple of the more challenging problems. He didn't inspect his teams work as they missed a couple areas. Years later when the paint and bondo began peeling and falling off, I texted him, and he said he would come inspect. With my persistence he finally came 7-8 months later. He blamed the failure on no flashing and poor quality wood! First, why did he not advise of flashing and poor wood 3 years earlier? Bottomline, the initial job looked great (except for the missed areas) but less than 3+ years later, based on my experience....John does not stand behind his work. They did a great job and worked around the schedule of other contractors working on the house. Just because I didn't hire you doesn't mean I am not allowed to post my opinion and personal experience with your company. But some things never change. Had you apologized and asked nicely, or actually cared enough to make things right and figure out where we went wrong, I would've gladly removed it. Our deck and trellising had been mistreated over the years by people who claim to offer deck…read morerestoration but really just come in with an insanely high pressure washer and gouge the hell out of the wood. Thank god we found Ben, he does things the right way to restore the wood and cause no harm. His team washed, sanded and sealed our deck and complex trellis & arbor bringing it back from the dead. Ben is a joy to work with. And you WILL be working with Ben. This isn't the common case of nice knowledgeable dude comes to your house, gives you an estimate, earns your trust then sends in the B-Squad to complete the actual work and original guy is nowhere to be seen. Ben was always here and would communicate at the start and end of the day or anytime there was decision to be made about time & cost vs. results. Not to take away from his excellent helper though, I fully trusted that guy to do impeccable work as well. Ben's attention to detail goes beyond the wood he is working on, he is obsessive about prepping the surrounding area to protect it from damage, dust or water. Every surrounding surface was painstakingly taped/tarped, items in the way like patio furniture were carefully relocated. Night and day difference between previous restoration guys who left a bit of a mess where Ben left the place cleaner than he found it.
