And when I called their office pretending to be a different patient, the receptionist also quoted $169 for all the same services we paid $400. Worst of all, when I contacted their office requesting a refund, they came back with a patronizing response claiming they charged us extra because they had to use a special tool (a scaler) which is the standard tool every dentist we've ever witnessed has used to clean plaque during cleanings. We're obviously not returning to Main St Pediatric after their discriminatory pricing practices, but I also wonder how many other out-of-pocket patients they've decided to charge 2-3x their standard rates.
