Seriously amazing off the charts visit! My teen is obsessed with golden goose shoes so when she realized it was maker day at the SF Flagship store she had to schedule an appointment. For those (like me) who are not completely hip to what "maker day" is....essentially it's a pre set appointment in which you work with a staff designer (insert shout out here to the amazingly talented Lauryn!!) who in turn "embellishes" a pair of shoes you pick out from the store. Think of it as another step into personalization, which I'm all for if it can turn a pair of everyone wears these shoes Into a pair of wow those are super different unique clearly personalized kicks you have right there. Extra graffiti, monogram, drawings, gems, charms, laces, etc they could really run the gamut on this platform - 100 dollars gets you 30 min plus a boat load of add ons. If anything, Golden Goose is underestimating the potential here -platformed/positioned correctly this service could easily go for double - potentially triple with the right set up & options - but back to my point - we load up our doggo, jump in the wagon, jaunt up the 101 to the Geary street store we were warmly welcomed by the store mgr Callie who embodies the golden-verse, she is a total super star of a store manager. You meet store managers and then you meet store managers - Callie is the EXACT, I mean to the T, type of store manager you want to meet at Golden Goose or frankly any store for that matter - savvy, fun, client oriented, patient, present, stylish yet still chill with vibe that you are talking to your bestie or your favorite long time neighbor - plus her brand knowledge?? EPIC - my teen was r.i.v.i.t.e.d. discussing, style, colors, numbers, options, laces, glitters and the like. A store manager taking professional time and consideration to be present with a 13 year old client is clearly embracing the philosophy of the brand and this my friend equals a home run - my kid will continue to pour money (my money for now) into gg shoes/clothes/bags for life - brand loyalty incarnate. On that late rainy sunday @ the SF golden store, history (and christmas) was made for my teen all thanks to Lauryn & Callie - true professionals w/staggering talent the embodiment of customer service and really just amazing humans, as an added bonus, they are both dog people so be sure to bring Fido along - Thanks Golden Goose for placing the right pros on your front line! I love GG and am in a group with members from all over the world - all people who love GG... I was informed that I am super lucky to live so close to a GG flag store so naturally, I had to check it out. Came here January 21st and I had two wonderful store team members help me, James and Gabriella. The plan was just to check out the place which was clean and had a minimalist vibe. The look works well as it disused your attention on clothing, purses and especially shoes. I told myself beforehand that I would not purchase a pair but that promise completely left my mind as soon as I walked in the door! They have a pretty extensive collection and the customer service was great. The shoes are great quality and are made to look pre-worn , to some I'm sure that sounds crazy, but it's no different than ripped jeans.. except the craftsmanship is guaranteed! I was so happy with the service and the fact that they were okay with me taking pics of the shoe collection that I later called and asked if I could share their contact info with my Golden Goose group members, who Gabriella and James were happy to approve. I would absolutely recommend this place, in fact I already did and some of the member in the group contacted the store ASAP and now have shoes form the SF location! I had an issue (glitter side was detaching from side sole) with a pair of GG that I purchased from Hawaii while on vacation. I initially contacted the Waikiki GG where I purchased the shoe from and the store manager was reluctant to help me because I had already worn it. She kept telling me to get my shoe fixed at a cobbler and that she can recommend someone in my area. I told her that I shouldn't have to go to a cobbler for a $635 shoe that was only worn for 6 hours total. This was within 14 days of purchase. I wasn't looking for a refund, but merely an exchange. After no luck with the Waikiki store manager, I contacted contacted the SF store and spoke with Asya, who was the store manager. Asya was understanding and escalated the incident to her regional manager. After a few calls, they made an exception and I was able to exchange the shoe for the same style. I just wanted to give kudos to Asya. Her impeccable customer service and compassion will be the reason I will continue to buy GG. She deserves the title as store manager. GG, if you're listening.....PLEASE show more compassion towards your customer who decided to spend a large amount of money on your products. If you want to continue to have long relationships with your customer, PLEASE don't think that we're trying to get one over on you. Sometimes, items could be defective or if your company has knowledge of certain flaws on a product, there should be exceptions. it should be honored and dealt with accordingly. I was really disappointed with the Waikiki manger telling me to take my BRAND NEW shoes to a cobbler on MY dime. That was NOT professional. Bottom line, this isn't some cheap brand, it's a high end brand...therefore have a better policy for returns/exchanges. Nordstrom and Lululemon have a great policy for items that don't hold up to its performance. I hope GG reads this! read more

Purchased a pair of @$550 starter sneakers 93-days ago. Just got off the phone with a sales person at the store about the side sole detaching from the shoe. He apologized, but would not honor an exchange or even a courtesy discount toward a purchase of another pair because I was 3-days over the 90-day policy. Last Sunday, I was browsing my Golden Goose app to shop around looking for my another set of super star sneakers and a thought came in why not try to check on their store first which is just a 5 mins walk away from where I live. (San Francisco Golden Goose Store) And check if they have the style that I'm looking instead online. It was 7mins left before their closing time (they close at 6pm) so I don't have enough time to check around and I met "Riddhi" who warmly & politely approached me of what I am looking for and I showed her on my GG app that this style is what I want so she gave this option that the next day she'll reach out to me through text & just send her the pictures of the specific super star styles that I want and she'll try to look it for me. I love the idea & felt like, it's not a waste of time coming on their closing time. So the following day came, Riddhi texted me that they have stock for my specific super star of course I was so happy & excited this caught my attention more, the mode of payment since I can't come in to their physical store. She sent me the link for the payment. It was Very quick, safe and efficient. I love the fact that I paid my bill smoothly w/o disclosing any information of my card. Next day, Raddhi messaged me that my superstar sneaker was ready for pick up & waiting for me. Aside being GG sneaker lover, what I love about is the extra service they do to help clients experience more better and It's beyond expectation! Thank you Raddhi for the nicest service! HORRIBLE customer service. After my experience at the KOP Mall Golden Goose store today, I will never buy another pair of shoes from GG again. I was gifted a pair of GG sneakers for my birthday ($795) and they were unfortunately too big. Before going in person to the KOP store, I called to make sure I could do the exchange and get a smaller size. They told me over the phone that that wasn't problem. When I went to the store today to make the swap, the associate said I owed $15. She said that even though I was exchanging the shoe for the same shoe, just a smaller size, the price of the shoe went up by $15 and I now owed the difference. I have never in my life heard of such a thing. GG should be ashamed of their less than lousy customer service. I will not support this brand again. read more

This review is more about the service than anything else. A few weeks before Black Friday, I came in here to look at a pair of Slides, and the sales associate was extremely helpful. She was informing me on what would be the correct shoe size for me and giving suggestions on how to keep them looking their best, never pushing or making me feel uncomfortable. I came back on Black Friday and the same sales associate remembered me and helped me with a pair of Superstars. She was attentive and genuinely nice, even putting up with my fiance, who couldn't understand why I would want a pair of sneaker that looked like it had been already worn. I only write reviews when I feel a shop has given me excellent customer service. This was what I experienced at the Golden Goose in San Francisco Union Square area. I recently got into the GG brand. Found out that they had a shop in SF. I rushed there after work and was helped by Lauren. Who was not only knowledgeable about the brand but was incredibly helpful. She showed me all the styles that I had inquired about and in various colors. Patiently answered my questions as I took my time making my final decision. I didn't feel rushed or pressured to buy anything. I did end up with a pair. Of course they are a bit pricey for sneakers but I will have them for a long time. Thanks Lauren! read more
