I am new to the Addison area and in need of a new local spot for pedicures so I gave this place a shot after some reviews. I was not as happy as I thought I would be. I did arrive 30 minutes after opening and was seated right away and as a walk-in, that was great! Soon after, my tech, Lisa, began working on my feet and while she was super friendly, she rushed the pedicure. I upgraded to the "mid grade" pedi but received less than "basic". My cuticles were barely touched, calluses remain and they didn't have the hot towels ready. I would have thought they would have charged me the basic price, but nope! Even with being disappointed, I am about fair chances and will give this place another shot. Next time I will make an appointment for later in the day, hoping the towels are hot, and with tech, Tammy, as previous reviews give her great ratings. read more

Decided to give another try.... KIM is awful! I got a full set- looks horrible! She did not paint the sides of my nails, looks like I need a fill already & the nails are crooked!! She did not even have me wash my hands between the acrylic set and the gel polish!! So in the light u can see all the nail dust she painted over & I had all the nail crap still under my nails when I got out to my car! Now I KNOW never to go back here!!! I just will be smart and drive further to my regular girl at AAA nails!! Forgot... Asked for square shape.... They are oval! This place is ok for your typical little nail salon. First time I went was a great experience.... The guy Tony does a great job. This time I came for a pedicure and she was using the cuticle nippers and cut me and then ripped my skin back. Asked her once to stop, she did, then five minutes later she tried to do more damage in the same spot, I had to tell her.... I said no more it is torn skin and hurts!!! I am ticked off I went there for a pedicure last Sunday and 2 days later developed a scurvey mite!!! A big that gets under your skin and lays eggs. Very painful and itches like hell. I went to he dr and the only thing other than walking through grass barefoot is to make contact with a other persons foot that had it. I haven't walked barefoot anywhere so we can only think it came from their pedicure bowl as the bugs started at my ankles!!!!!! People be aware I am in pain and allot of itching and a $70 ointment and a dr visit. That pedi cost me $200!!!! And allot of pain!!! Never again!!! read more

I only gave this place a one star because I couldn't give them a 0 ... They actually deserve a negative 5 starts. I went in with a broken pink and white gel. I asked her to match it to the rest of the nails. She told me she didn't have the exact shade of pink which I was ok with. Then she proceeded to put on the white which had no curve of the natural shape of the nail. It was caked on and triple of the white that the rest of my nails were. I complained. Then she made me soak my nail for 10 minutes to try to fix it and it was still coming out looking like a disaster. She wasted 30 minutes of my time just to tell me she can't match them I was left with a bumpy half white half pink unfiled nail. She had the balls to tell me she wouldn't charge me. Charge ME??? I should have charged her for wasting my time and having to walk out with the ugliest most unprofessional job I have EVER seen. A 3 year old would have done a better job. I now see why they are rated at 2 stars. Decent place for a pedicure but this was the biggest hack job ever.... Do not recommend this place and will NEVER go back. read more

Went for a pedicure and a new salon person scrubbed the side of my foot so hard it hurt and started to bleed. She didn't know what to do-so I said I need a band aid and they didn't have any. I'll never go back there-they don't understand English and therefore played dumb when I went back there to tell them what happened. They give me a gift card for my $35 pedicure which really wasn't the issue as I will never use it. So beware when they approach you with a razor blade or a scrub sponge!!!!!!! This is the worst part, I am under a doctor's care since this happened and had to take 2 rounds of antibiotic because the sore from the scrubbing is so close to my bone on the side of my foot. So now I have to keep going back to the doctor until this sore heals and worry that the infection doesn't go to my bone. So be very cautious when they approach you with a scrubber and make sure they are aware of what they are doing. I learned the hard way!! read more

I've been following Tammy for 14 years and she has finally established herself at the most perfect spot. Her and her staff provide excellent customer service. The vast amount of colors and nail polishes is overwhelming but I love it! I want to try every single color! But I can't express enough how perfect my nails are neatly groomed and polished. I always have great experience with them, I always get the owner Kim though so I'm not sure about anyone else but she's awesome, I transitioned from Acrylic to NoChip and she helped me tremendously. I went in to get a fill and change the color of my toe nails. They asked if I wanted a pedicure instead of nail polish change on my toes. I told them I didnt have enough time and so they offered to do both at the same time. I was the only one there so that was possible and very accomodating. I respected this ladies hustle and so I agreed. I love my nails and the quick shoulder/neck massage she gave me while my nails were drying. The only reason they get 4 stars is because a pedicure should include callus remover it should not be 5 dollars extra in my opinion. read more

Every comment below is 100% accurate. Very unsatisfied about my nails. Kim did not have me wash my hands before polish and I have bubbles on my nails along with seeing the nail dust in the light. They are uneven from her sanding over them 12 times. She had me chose a color from a basket and didn't tell me it was a gel nail polish until AFTER it went on. I went in for a fill and paid $27... How does this work? I should have gotten the entire bottle of polish for this price. Just a terrible experience all together I will never go here again and would never recommend someone to try either. read more

I love to get my nails done but being in the food business I cannot have painted nails. So, when I am finally able to get them done I am really looking forward to it. This place was a complete let down. I went in there to get a manicure and the lady was rude. She did not speak at all, which isn't a big deal but the whole process was very short. She did not take her time with my manicure. When my nails were done being painted she told me to "put under 5 minutes" referring to the UV light under the counter. My nails are all natural and when I paint them at home it takes longer than 5 minutes to dry completely, for as many coats of polish she put I was surprised that they could be done so fast. After about 6 minutes she rudely told me I was done and can go. I looked at my nails and pointed out a small mistake she had made. She fixed it then after about another minute or so under the light she said they are done and once again told me to leave. I have NEVER been told so rudely to leave a salon like that. The place was not busy at all, there was one other person and it was the middle of the afternoon on a weekday. When I got home I noticed that my nails were NOT DRY and they did in fact smear and chip while I was driving the whole 5 minutes home. I am highly disappointed and will not be coming back nor referring anyone to this place every again. read more

I have been going here since it opened, however I am going to stop because the nail techs constantly try to get you to spend more money! I come in for a fill and they badger me, asking do you want a pedicure, eyebrow wax,? Saying you, need a manicure. How about a no chip manicure, longer massage? All of these service add up! I tell them no I don't have the money but they don't stop.I even had one lady have the nerve to tell me, since I don't have children I don't really have many bills to pay! The nerve of her! They do a nice job on nails and brows but I'm sick and tired of being pushed to do more services and spend more $$$$! I hope someone tells them about this review so they stop this harassment! read more

This was a terrible place. The women talked each other very loudly in Vietnamese and did not pay a lot of attention to what they were doing. There was a child in the salon who played his computer game. I felt I was not treated well. When I only gave them a very little tip, they decided not to massage my hands. The WORST experience of my whole 25yrs of getting my nails done!! I literally wanted a "no chip" polish change!! That's it!!!! Whatever they put on me to soak off, which I actually asked what it was cuz I've never seen it done that way before. But they assured they just do things different. Wellll, it melted my nails curving them in, ruined my whole shape!! They couldn't even get the polish off, I don't even have words!!! I'm livid!! Then they refused to fix them n said they don't know what happened?!?! It must be my nails!! Ummmmm idk either!! But I get my nails done every 2 weeks n this is never a problem!! U need to fix whatever the fuck U just did to my nails!!! Ruined them!! And they are real!!! They seriously deserve to shut down!!! I have been going to Nice Nails since they opened & have always been very satisfied, I dont know what the other reviewer was talking about as far as being badgered about upgrades! Yes they do ask if I want other services, but thats where it ends. I have never felt pressured in any way! I did try another salon in the area once because I couldn't get in & my nails looked terrible, but I was extremely disappointed & was very upset with myself for going somewhere else. I went in for the first time for an acrylic fill in. I wanted to try some palce new. My nails are almond shape, so I told the lady to reshape them since they have worn out the past 2 wks. She did not understand what almond shape is, so I said not too pointy, not to round. So she started shaping my pinky nail, thinking she understood. Nope she didnt, turned out too round. So I just told her make them pointy instead, as I was showing her with my hands and you can see the shape of my nails from the previous time I got them done, they just needed a touch up/file . Still my pinky nail was not fix, then she moved on to my other nails, filling them buffing them,etc. Thinking that she will fix them at the end. Then she tells me to go wash them like you're supposed to. So then I thought to myself, "she's not fixing/shaping my nails!" I sat down after washing them, and I told her AGAIN can you make them ponity please. (For the 3/4 time!) Then she takes the nail file and filed ONLY my rounded pinky nail for about 3-4 seconds (still not not fix) and started paniting my nails, not doing any else to the rest of my nails. I was furious, what part do you not understand!? You are a "nail technician", you should know your shapes, you should know the different kinds of nail shapes that are out there, you should understand English. I came home and filed them myself.
