DO NOT I repeat DO NOT get your screen fixed here! First off if you replace any part of your Apple product outside of the Apple store, it voids all warranties. So long story short, I cracked my screen and got it fixed at Smart Repair. Soon afterwards my phone started to crash. After the 4th time it crashed, I took it to the Apple store and they told me it was because of the aftermarket screen and because it was not fixed by Apple i have to buy a new phone for $750. So I went back to Smart Repair and asked the guy for a refund so I can use it towards my new phone, the guy told me since it's been over 3 months he can't give me a refund. He said since the crash is caused by his aftermarket screen, he can replace my screen with a cracked original apple part he has in stock and I can take it home to reboot it and bring it back and he'll give me a new aftermarket screen. So I agreed but after he looked at my phone he said there were little scratches on the screen so he can't resell it so he can't do it. So I'm assuming he was planning to still sell my defeated screen if there were no scratches. I asked him if he can just give me a new screen because maybe the guy who installed it put it on wrong. He said no and was being rude saying he doesn't even have to do this. Customer service was beyond horrible. He didn't even help me! At least he could have offered to replace my defeated screen. So basically no refund, no replacing my screen nor even replacing with a cracked original apple screen and now I need to go buy a new iphone. Please take the time and get your screen replaced at the Apple store even if the wait is longer or you will be out close to $900 ($140 for screen + $750 for new phone). Mind you its also cheaper to get it fixed at the Apple store. Please I beg you do not make the same pricy mistake I made. read more

I left a review a few days back regarding my phone being damaged from their faulty installation and defeated screen and the owner replied back with complete lies or either he is mistaken me for another customer who was there with the same problem. I'm assuming the latter because I do want to give him the benefit of the doubt and not accuse him of being a liar. However, he never offered to give me a refund because he said they have a 3 month warranty policy. I took my broken phone to him and whoever was working there was being absurdly rude to me. I don't know what the owner was referring to when he replied back to my review saying that I went to them with my new phone after surrendering my broken phone to the Apple Store because i just recently got my new phone. And why would I take my new phone to them if I wanted a refund. What would I have been able to prove? They never offered to fix my phone nor did they offer a refund. I'm only saying this because I'm assuming this is a recurring problem with many of their customers so please be aware. So I'm assuming based on the owner's reply he is willing to give me a refund? I don't really write reviews. Actually this is the first one I ever write and I'm only doing this because their job was extremely disappointing. It made me feel cheated and powerless. I paid them $120 to replace my broken screen on IPhone 5S. Although they returned the phone with a new screen, it was very poor quality material. They returned my phone with a broken home button, the volume button stopped working, and the battery stopped working. This place cheated me by breaking other parts of the phone while "repairing" my screen. They even tried to sell me another home button! I finally found a different tech person that opened up the phone In front of me to show me how they poorly repaired my phone: 7 screws were missing, a strip of the home button was torn, the wifi antenna was broken ... And other stuff I can't explain because this is not my expertise. I do not recommend this place at all! I am a person that believes others should be compensated for work one does not know how to do. But I believe in morality. This place and its workers lack respect for their customers. read more

I am very satisfied with the service at Smart Repair. I had dropped my iPhone 5s several times which caused my camera not to work. I was convinced I'd need a new phone until I stopped by Smart Repair at the Irvine Spectrum. The two gentleman inspected my phone, said it could be fixed, and that it would only take 15 minutes. I was already impressed! My phone ended up not needing to be repaired (camera just had to be put back into place) so I was not charged for the service. I truly appreciate Smart Repair's honesty, and quick service. Since I'll likely drop my phone again, I will definitely return to Smart Repair for their help. I dropped my phone in water and then drove immediately to The Irvine Spectrum iPhone repair kiosk. The service was immediate, no waiting in line. My phone was fixed in less than an hour, better than before and I was able to make it home in time to host a Christmas party! I love this company. They really care. Awful experience. Called ahead with iPhone Model. They quoted us $59, upon our arrival it jumped to $100. They asked what number we called. We confirmed it was the manager that gave us the lesser quote. They them had the audacity to tell US to call THEIR manager to discuss?!?! No thanks we'll take our business elsewhere. Had a great experience yesterday with Smart Repair! I had my ipad screen shatter for the first time. They quoted me at $89 ($10 cheaper than places I found online), and completed the repair in less than an hour. The device looks new again and works absolutely perfectly. I did not know it came with a warranty, but they told me after the fact which was a really nice plus. Hopefully my screens don't break again, but if they do I will for sure be back! We had a belated fathers day dinner last night (Monday) so after the meal we decided to walk around, we bumped in to this little cart right across from the carrousel and I asked the attendant (Ali) if he could check out my phone and please let me know how much he would charge before fixing the phone, he took a look at it then he worked his magic and my phone was fixed in less than a minute, what he told me is that literally it's like my phone had a dislocated shoulder, one corner separated so there was a gap between the screen and the phone and the best part he didn't charge me! (I don't know if I should mention this) but I think I should mention it mainly because that shows high customer care!!! they fix shattered screens for any apple devices. I thought I was going to have to replace the whole phone so in my head he saved me at least 100 dlls that is what the Verizon (they suck) guarantee charges to replace and they would give me a refurbished phone.
