The hotel is clean and the decor appropriate. The pre check in is good but no real person on site to assist anything,! BEWARE. They want you to take photos of your ID and your face s video in order to check in. I was on the phone with their customer service. After half hour I finally get into the lobby. Finally someone showed up it took another half hour. I had to be on their phone to take video. This person doesn't speak English, another lady who I thought might be the owner, she used foreign language to instruct that person the whole time. The entire check in process was horrendous.

After traveling the whole day, this would have been a nice place to keep staying at. It's clean & small which makes it feel cozy. My daughter and I travel every 3 weeks or so for an allergy program about 5 min away from the place. So it's really a convenient, great price to stay at. However!!! I ran into the manager, complimenting her about the place, was friendly. I asked if we could stay an extra 2 hours since check out is at 11 and my daughter's appt was at 1:45pm. She said she would hold our stuff and keep it safe if we would like, that way we didn't have to leave our bags in the car. My bag has no lock since it's a hand carry bag & she seemed trustworthy and friendly. She said when I'm ready to text her at her direct line. When we came back after my appt, to pick up the bag, she responded right away and handed me my bag. When I got to the airport and packed a few more things, I found a random key inside my luggage. I've had my luggage the whole time with me, it's new and I've never the key in my life! So I asked her the next morning if it was her key. And as you can see through our messages, she says yes but after I tell her I found it in my bag, she claims it's not her key and thought it was. As a manager, not recognizing your key seems a bit odd. She says she has the main key. Told her it's a copy of a key. Anyways, long story short, I would not leaving any belongings!! Someone can be going through it while you're gone!! Do not leave your stuff!! ***UPDATE: when upper management investigated the incident, she claimed it's the same key she gave the plumber leading to confusion. Umm.. that's a unique key. I'll also include a pic of my bag. I found the key at the bottom section of my luggage so there's no way a key "accidentally fell" into my bag.

I'm staying at the Kasa Niche Hotel here in Redwood City for work, and I have nothing but positive things to say so far. I didn't choose my hotel, my company did, but I am super pleased with it! It's a virtual front desk check in, so everything is done from your phone before you get there. I wasn't sure how it would work, but it ended up being super easy! Right before check in time I was sent a code for the front door and a code for my room. I had no trouble getting in, the common area was modern, clean and well lit. It reminded me of a nice apartment complex-- each room had a touch screen key pad to type in your code. I found my room easily and my code worked. There is no elevator, so if you're in a second story room it is stairs only (no luggage carts). My room was modern, well lit, clean and stocked with some waters. I was seriously so impressed with how nice everything was. The room is small with a king bed and small desk, but it's perfect for a work trip. It had a fridge, a large tv, and was stocked with an alarm clock/sound machine/iron in the drawers. The bathroom was clean, modern and had a cool light up mirror. There is a staff member who is usually around cleaning/tidying who is super friendly, she asked if I needed any help getting in and made sure I got into my room when I was fumbling my room code one day. It was very quiet at night and I didn't hear anyone in nearby rooms. Overall extremely impressed and I'd definitely stay here again if ever in the area!

If you're looking to get away for a night or two and you're seeking budget accommodations or not, then "The Euro Hotel" in beautiful downtown 'up-and-coming' Redwood City is the perfect get away and excellent choice for you. Practical for the average business person and appropriate for everyone else. My check-in experience with front desk specialist, Manav, was not only fast and easy but professional. Needless to say the staff ,including housekeeping, is On Point! Located in the heart of modern Redwood City, as a guest here you are practically next door to a plethora of amenities. Food, convenience stores, clothing and entertainment. I will definitely choose "The Euro Hotel" next time.

Need to learn how to fit everything into a 150 square foot room from these guys

Creaking floors throughout the late evening. The breakfast buffet on Friday was fantastic! Great eggs and sausage. Everything was stocked and clean. Saturday morning was such a disappointment. The eggs were overcooked and the sausage links were dry. They have premade breakfast sandwiches in the hot plates and they look so pathetic. Just overly hot and moist. Very unappealing. There is no flavored coffee creamer at the coffee and tea station which was disappointing. Stop purchasing premade breakfast sandwiches and put money towards the creamer.

The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful in its design with its Spanish influenced architecture and every room having a little balcony overlooking the intimate courtyard or if its on the outside of the hotel, the downtown Palo Alto area. We honestly couldn't have imagined a better venue for our wedding, everyone had a good time and not a single thing went wrong. The issue was that the cleaning staff did not clean the bathroom at the 2nd night. The bathtub was dirty, so we had to clean it up. The floss and toilet paper were not filled. We did not bother to call as it was near midnight. We were disappointed it was not cleaned even with the high tips we left on the 1st night. I opted for the Courtyard many for Bonvoy purposes, but I wasn't sure how the walk to my conference would be. It was at the Fox Theater and basically about one mile away, but when in California, you never know how sketchy a walk can be. As it turns out, zero percent sketchy. As for the hotel itself, it had free parking, which was nice because I had a rental car and a friend that stopped by to visit. However, I ended up getting a note that I parked somewhere I wasn't supposed to, and was completely confused about that because I parked where everyone else did and there was no signage saying my spot was forbidden. Oh well. The lobby had a "restaurant" with a few items and coffee, as well as a small area with drinks and snacks. Once in the room, it wasn't overly impressive, but did the job. The biggest drawback for me were the tiny pillows (I still don't know anyone who prefers a small pillow over a long one. But when I asked for a couple extras, they were normal sized, so I was able to create a makeshift body pillow out of those. The shower had good pressure and got super hot, so no notes there. There was a small couch, which was perfect because I wanted to watch an NBA playoff game while I was in here and am glad I didn't have to do so from the bed. (Apologies to anyone who heard lots of yelling from room 414 during your stay). I got coffee each morning, but learned my lesson from ordering food the first day. The avocado toast was, um, rough. The area is on a busy street, and the parking was a little confusing at first, but once we figured it out, everything was easy. The room was clean, comfortable, and had a mini fridge and microwave, which were exactly what we needed. I also appreciated that the bathroom was stocked with Dove toiletries. The only part that left a bad impression was check in. The employee helping us assumed the two people behind us were part of our reservation and made a comment about there only being room for two. Since we had reserved a room with a sofa bed, the comment felt unnecessary and made for an awkward first impression. Everything else was great. The continental breakfast was clean and well stocked with hot and cold options, and the employee working the breakfast area did an excellent job keeping everything organized. The coffee wasn't my favorite, and I wish the TVs were smart TVs instead of cable only, but those were minor things. Check out was quick, and the front desk employee that morning was very friendly. We were exhausted, and ready to hit the hay after a quick shower. This location is new to us and we didn't know it would be kind of right on the main road, but the building was pretty easy to find with GPS even though it was quite dark out. The street this hotel is on was kind of sketchy in some parts, but it is Rewood City, so it was still pretty safe. We parked quickly and went into the lobby to check in. We had to wait about 5 minutes as someone else was checking in who actually just booked in person and paid cash. Thankfully it looked like he just last minute needed a place to stay with his girlfriend/wife and it wasn't like a motel transaction going on. In any case, we got checked in and went up to our room on 2nd floor. I thought about asking for a room on the 3rd floor in case we would hear noise from the floor above, but any noise was well insulated enough that it was quite quiet all night. From the photos you can see it's standard HIE room layout, decor, bedding, bathroom set-up. All of it were pretty clean and smelled fresh if a little strong of chemicals. The only thing were that there's not enough hangers and the bench was worn out. The beds were standard hotel queens, comfortable, but not as big as real queens, so more like doubles. The shower was strong but a little weird to operate. We slept pretty well, and the AC cycled on and off to cool the room but we set it so we wouldn't freeze. Next morning, we went down to the first floor for the breakfast which was pretty standard HIE fare. There were quite a lot of guests, so the room got a bit crowded but the staff replenished the food quickly and people came and went so there was room enough for those who wanted to eat there rather than take back to their room. We ate and then packed up and checked out. My husband and kids checked out the fitness room and said it was literally just a couple of treadmills and that was it, there were no free weights or anything else, so that was disappointing. There's also no pools or a spa here so if you're looking for those amenities, this is not the right hotel for you. Overall, if was a good stay, but we probably wouldn't come back if we were not just passing through and needed a place to stay for the night before getting back.

We were told breakfast would be weekend hours on Memorial Day holiday, with breakfast service ending at 9:30am, when we had asked the front desk the day before. We arrived at 8:30am and we noticed they had run out of most items and were no longer restocking breakfast, despite having 15 people in line waiting for breakfast and a full dining room of guests still eating (there were literally no tables open to eat). Despite all the guests waiting, they started cleaning up and outing everything away right at 9am, with no deference for the guests who had been waiting in line for food. The employees working breakfast, including what looked like a manager of some sort, were cold and not accommodating at all, despite how obvious the situation was. Even though we arrived at 8:30am, they did not restock the eggs, there was no milk for cereal, no yogurt, no hot water for tea, no bread for toast, etc. How hard is it to realize you have a full hotel full of guests staying over a holiday weekend, to stay open weekend hours? And how hard is it to order food accordingly? Our kids who don't eat meat went back to the room hungry, because the only item out was meat -- what a real disappointment. When we tried to talk to the employees, all they could say was "breakfast ends at 9am -- there is no more food." Did they really not have more food, or did they just not want to put it out the 30 minutes before they ended breakfast at 9am? The rest of the hotel is fine. The rooms were reasonably clean and modern. The pool is a joke. The outside grounds, especially around the back, were dirty and cluttered with garbage. The customer service attitude at breakfast was simply unacceptable. This hotel deserves it 2-3 star rating on Yelp, and now we know why: they just don't care about their guests.
